We are looking for a talented Communication and Marketing Assistant to join our fantastic team – and to help us continue to grow so we can change more lives across Wales.

This is a new role that will support the growth of Community Foundation Wales and the implementation of our marketing and communications strategy.

You will assist in creating compelling content and capturing diverse and compelling stories from our grantees and donors, helping the Head of Communication and Marketing to communicate the importance of our work and share its impact to help grow the reach and brand awareness of Community Foundation Wales.

From research to creation to publishing, you will work with the Head of Communication and Marketing to produce engaging and inspiring content and stories that will engage Community Foundation Wales’s key audiences.

You will help organise events and external meetings with our stakeholders that will help us to connect and build our supporter base.

This post requires someone who is eager to take on a degree of responsibility and wants to develop their creative skills. The ideal candidate will enjoy variety and be a self-starter with excellent organisational skills who is keen to learn.

You will ideally be able to work in English and in Welsh, helping us to share stories and communicate with supporters across all of Wales.

Essential

• Educated to degree level, or equivalent experience working in a communications, marketing or digital marketing role.
• Experience of using social media in a professional context and working knowledge of the different types of social media and their best use.
• Experience of editing websites, using content management systems such as WordPress.

As an Engagement Centre Assistant, you’ll care for our supporters and guide them through their journey with Compassion. You’ll answer incoming enquiries and initiate outgoing enquiries by phone, SMS, email, letter, live chat and social media. This is an exciting opportunity to work with stroke survivors and their families to support them following stroke. We are looking for an innovative, passionate and professional individual with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills to join our Stroke Recovery Service based in Medway.

Position: S11197 Stroke Association Support Coordinator

Location: Home-based –Medway however, frequent travel will be required as part of this role (may include team meetings or other work-related meetings)

Hours: Part-time, 21 hours per week (flexible working available)

Salary: Circa £16,043 per annum (FTE circa £26,700 per annum)

The Role

The service aims to identify and address the needs of stroke survivors and carers across the stroke pathway, by providing a range of innovative support solutions, supporting them to meet their desired outcomes. A key part of the role will be to support service users and the delivery of the service.

Reporting to the Stroke Association Service Delivery Coach, the Stroke Association Support Coordinator will:

· Support new stroke survivors and their carers from hospital discharge into the community.

· Provide personalised information, advice and support.

· Support clients to make informed lifestyle changes which will help them to prevent further strokes

· Be accountable for volunteers, so experience of recruiting, training and managing volunteers would be an advantage.

· You will have excellent IT skills and demonstrate a flexible approach to your role.

The post holder will have experience/background in:

· A caring profession ideally with experience of supporting people with disabilities.

· Setting up and running groups.

About the Role

We are looking for an EDI Committee Chair to provide direction to the organisation’s EDI-BIIDE Work and to lead the EDI-BIIDE Committee, ensuring alignment between the organisation’s EDI-BIIDE Action Plan and the organisation’s three-year strategy and resources.

You will need to have the following skills and experience:

• An extensive understanding of legal and social EDI-BIIDE matters (including the contextual, political, climatic and social changing landscapes, to advance equity for stakeholders, the public and UKCP). 
• Well-developed communication skills with attention to language meanings across different populations and audiences that promote equity, further collaboration, and uphold respect and dignity for all.
• Experience in embedding EDI-BIIDE principles and practices in an organisational context, understanding how to align EDI-BIIDE with wider business objectives, and working within resource constraints

About Lepra

Lepra is dedicated to addressing leprosy and lymphatic filariasis (LF) and their consequences through direct support, advocacy, and the promotion of inclusive communities. We work in Bangladesh and in India, through our sister organisation, LEPRA Society. We work in partnership with people affected by leprosy and LF to improve detection, ensure access to treatment and care, and promote inclusion and wellbeing. Our new Global Strategy introduces some new approaches and priorities to our work, including: our first ever global Theory of Change (ToC), the most detailed Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) approach ever, and a sub-strategy dedicated to research, innovation and technology: the Global Research, Innovation and Technology Strategy (GRITS). With the finalisation of the new strategy, and as part of our ongoing commitment to improving our impact and efficiency, we are now seeking a consultant to provide specialised research support and technical advice.

Purpose & Objectives of the Consultancy

The primary objectives of this consultancy are to lead the transitional phase of the GRITS, creating a detailed operational plan for its implementation; support the management of the existing research portfolio ensuring technical soundness, budget adherence and timely delivery; establish a sustainable pathway for research expertise to be led by in-country professionals.

Scope of Work

The consultant will be responsible for the following key areas over a six-month period:

Strategy Transition Leadership

• Lead the transitional phase of the GRITS.
• Identify and address any gaps or challenges in the current strategy.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment and smooth transition.

Operational Plan Management

• Develop a comprehensive operational plan for the rollout of the strategy.
• Establish the initial GRITS processes including the Go no Go; steering group established and functioning.
• Define clear timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
• Ensure the plan is realistic, achievable, and aligns with the charity’s objectives and resources.

Support Existing Research Profile

• Review and support ongoing research projects.
• Ensure all research activities are technically sound, within budget, and on time.
• Provide technical guidance and support to research teams.
• Provide ongoing mentoring and coaching to staff and partners.
• Ensure that data sets and tools are appropriately designed and employed.

Pathway to Sustainability

• Create a sustainability plan to ensure research expertise is transitioned to and led by in-country professionals.
• Develop capacity-building programmes for local researchers and institutions
• Establish mentorship and training frameworks to support local leadership in research.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including donors, research institutions, and community leaders.
• Facilitate collaboration and partnerships to enhance the research profile and strategy implementation.
• Ensure transparent and effective communication throughout the transition process.

Monitoring and Evaluation

• Develop and implement a monitoring and evaluation framework to track progress and impact of the strategy.
• Regularly report on progress, challenges, and achievements to the Lepra’s leadership team.
• Adjust plans and strategies based on feedback and evaluation results.

Safeguarding

• Support the implementation of newly developed processes in relation to the Prevention of Sexual Exploitation & Abuse (PSEA) and Safeguarding (SG).
• Ensure safeguarding measures are integrated into all project activities.

Outputs of the Consultancy

• Comprehensive operational plan for the global research, innovation, and technology strategy.
• Progress reports on the transitional phase and implementation status.
• Technical reviews and support documentation for ongoing research projects.
• Sustainability plan and capacity-building program for local research leadership.
• Monitoring and evaluation framework and regular progress reports.
• Learning workshops conducted.

Reporting to the Stroke Association Service Delivery Coach, the coordinator will work with the local Health and Social Care services to receive referrals and support stroke survivors and their carers. A lot of people know NCT for our antenatal classes, and we want to continue to support as many parents and families as we can to access evidence-based information. We run thousands of free community activities and events across the UK, led by our fantastic volunteers and peers. About the Role

 Some of the key responsibilities of the role include:
