The Role

The Clinical Lead is a critically important role within the service, providing leadership, coordination and delivery of the prescribing and clinical elements within this integrated substance use service. 

You will be a registered healthcare professional, that can prescribe for people needing substance misuse interventions.  However, we are flexible about the discipline you have and the hours you work (i.e., you could be an independent prescriber (Nurse or Pharmacist) GP or Consultant).

So, this is an excellent opportunity to work with us in creating a role that fits your needs as much as it fits ours.  As such we would consider a part time or job share for the right person/people, so if full time working doesn’t suit you, this may be the right role!

Though you will:

· have a strong background and experience in providing clinical support, to ensure that we are consistently offering a high quality, clinically excellent, recovery-focused service to people with problematic substance use.

· provide excellent clinical leadership and clinical supervision to healthcare staff within the Via Cheshire West & Chester service, and support to GPs and Pharmacies involved in the provision of treatment services to people who use substances across the area.

· be an effective, engaged and active part of the local management and leadership team, contributing to the overall performance of the service to ensure that contractual output targets are achieved.

· be ready to be supported by Via’s wider senior leadership and clinical department, for example to receive clinical supervision and support for complex cases where required.

The Service

Via is a charity dedicated to the belief that we can make a difference to lives of those who use our services, offering support and respect in a safe environment, treating each person as an individual and working with them to find the right support options.

Via’s Cheshire West & Chester service is an adult and young person treatment and recovery service which offers a range of pharmacological and psycho-social interventions to the community for support in relation to drug and or alcohol use.

This is an established service that is well performing and highly functioning. It is CQC registered to provide a range of clinical interventions including blood borne virus interventions, opioid substitute treatment, community detoxification, harm reduction, other holistic health interventions and seated in a recovery focused model.

The team actively supports individuals that are directly and indirectly affected by substance use, working with the local community to improve the health, wellbeing and functioning of residents, irrespective of circumstance. 

Location

You will be based from our Northwich Hub, but will regularly travel to other Hub sites in Chester and Ellesmere Port, will require occasional travel to external meetings and satellites within the area, and very occasional travel to other Via locations may be required.

Lead the investment strategy, ensuring that effective investment management and monitoring is in place.

Lead the pension strategy, ensuring that this continues to support the recruitment and retention of a skilled and committed workforce. Lead the management of the legacy Defined Benefit Pension Scheme, liaising with Trustees as required.

Lead the provision of suitable office, community, consultation, storage and training space to meet the charity's needs.

The ideal candidate will bring:

•Comprehensive knowledge and experience in delivering primary income streams, along with a proven ability to develop income strategies for sustained year-on-year growth.

•Significant experience in managing teams of fundraising professionals, including motivating and developing high-performing individuals.

•A deep understanding of fundraising practices, including research, solicitation, pitching, and account management.

•Familiarity with the Code of Fundraising Practice.

•A track record of achieving ambitious fundraising targets, particularly in engaging and stewarding major donors for significant giving.

•Proven experience managing large budgets (£3m+) with strong financial acumen.

The Vacancy Director of Growing Churches

Location: This is a hybrid position, with an average minimum of 2-3 days based in our London office, working remotely from your home, and extensive travel around Britain. You should live within commuting distance of our London Office.

This is an exciting new role leading, expanding, and embedding a vibrant culture of healthy, growing churches and Christian communities in every district and circuit across the Methodist Church in Britain and the Methodist Church in Ireland – supporting clergy and lay leaders in both Churches’ major commitments to prioritise mission and grow relationally, spiritually, and numerically, especially related to engaging religiously-unaffiliated people and rising generations in diverse British and Irish contexts.

This post represents a fresh approach of working together as the Methodist Church in Ireland and the Methodist Church in Britain, recognizing our contextual differences and celebrating our common mission in Christ. The successful candidate will further develop, operationalise, and manage the Missional Growth and Leadership strategic area of the Methodist Church in Britain’s God For All strategy and will support the implementation of the Methodist Church in Ireland’s Towards Growth: Connexional Team report. This will include working strategically; embedding deep learning and practice; managing staff, workplans and budgets; and organizing networks of leaders. You will be a member of the Evangelism and Growth Team of the Methodist Church in Britain, working collaboratively with many other teams, groups, and networks across and beyond the Methodist Churches in Britain and Ireland.

You will also be part of the wider Mission Team, playing a key role in the implementing its strategy in response to Our Calling and the Methodist Way of Life. In this post, you will have responsibility for the following priorities:

• Supporting, normalising, and directing a culture of growth in Methodist circuits and local churches across diverse contexts
• Working with circuit superintendents and other senior leaders to build growth into standard operating missional and ministerial practice for new and existing churches
• Building and implementing a plan to oversee and deliver a Connexional/flexible orientation and accompaniment for mission/growth planning and action for churches, circuits, and districts
• Co-leading and overseeing the development of robust processes of discernment regarding the strategic deployment of property for mission
• Designing and directing a broad offering of short-term and internship-based missional encounters

About You

The ideal candidate will need the following:

• Significant leadership experience in mission and ministry
• An evidenced track record of leading growth – numerical, spiritual, and relational – in local churches
• Ability to communicate passionately, accessibly, and theologically with diverse audiences, both religiously-unaffiliated and -affiliated · Abilities as a skilled trainer, line-manager, and supervisor/coach
