What you'll be doing:
- Deliver our current mentoring provision and look to expand into different stakeholders in our focus boroughs
- Lead the delivery of our Try Time programme, developing the Harlequins Foundation alternative provision offering
- Drive partnership opportunities to provide alternative provision within schools across Hounslow and our other focus boroughs
- Maintain and develop relationships with local schools and local authorities to refer suitable programme participants
- Lead on recruitment of programme participants from relevant referral sources and delivery partners, researching and establishing new relationships as required
- Support Education and Employability Mentor (EEM) with delivery of Employability Academy
- Support delivery of our NEET (not in Education, Employment or Training) projects and programmes
- Liaise with local employers and participants to ensure the efficient running of our programmes
- Take responsibility for the reporting and monitoring of employability programmes, ensuring accurate collection of data required to report against funding
Your skills and experience:
- Educated to degree level or demonstrable equivalent experience
- Have or willing to work towards gaining qualifications required to deliver and assess vocational qualifications
- Experience of working with children and young people, preferably in a classroom environment
- Experienced in engaging young people from a range of backgrounds, including hard to reach and disadvantaged young people
- Experience of managing essential stakeholder relationships while maintaining and developing new referral channels and programmes
- Experience using monitoring & evaluation tools, for example, Signal Stoplight, Upshot and Sport Value Bank
- RFU ERCA (or equivalent NGB coaching award)
- A commitment to safeguarding children, young people, and vulnerable adults
- Highly organised with excellent planning and coordination skills and a meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to confidently present to stakeholders in person or online
- Ability to build excellent relationships and a confidence in networking

About this key role
Our successful candidate will provide person-centred support to a caseload of service users who will either be serving community sentences or being released from prison. This will involve undertaking assessment and action planning with individual service users which will result in timely and prescribed outcomes being achieved, and creating a safe and trusting environment, using trauma informed practice to successfully facilitate a supportive and constructive relationship with service users. You will deliver a range of interventions to service users, including group work sessions where required, and work with service users flexibly, meeting and undertaking interventions in a range of prescribed locations across a wide geographical area.
We will also rely on you to develop and maintain positive working relationships with external agencies including Probation, Prisons and partners, and work towards contractual targets and outcomes within agreed timescales and in line with specified quality standards. Using agreed CRM databases, recording all activity relating to caseload and ensuring all information is recorded within agreed deadlines are all also vital aspects of the role.
What we are looking for
- Experience in working with partner agencies either as part of a multi-agency team working towards common objectives or negotiating to establish links to further the aims of a project
- L3 qualification in Advice and Guidance or equivalent
- A sound knowledge of the requirements of managing a caseload
- An understanding of the barriers faced by people with complex and multiple needs
- The ability to assess clients’ needs and provide tailored, client-led support through action planning and interventions involving advice, guidance, advocacy, and coaching

The project support officer will support the brilliant work of our Wilder Landscapes team, a small but very active team within Suffolk Wildlife Trust’s conservation department. This role is an exciting opportunity to work alongside the Mental Health Liaison Team at Milton Keynes University Hospital to support individuals presenting on hospital wards with a mental health crisis and deliver one-to-one crisis focused support, whilst also supporting them to access the Crisis Café, other Mind BLMK services or other external services within their local community.

About the Role
This role offers an exciting opportunity to join our Bedford Mental Health Prevention service for adults which aims to improve people’s mental wellbeing, raise aspirations and enhance confidence.
As Service Coordinator you will be responsible for implementing working recovery models and coordinating the operational plans for the service to ensure that people are able to manage their mental health, move through their recovery journeys and achieve positive outcomes.
Along with coordinating service delivery to meet its aims, objectives and Key Performance Indicators, you will also line manage the service Recovery Workers and lead on recruitment, onboarding and management of volunteers in the service.
Additionally you will conduct assessments of individual’s suitability for the service, leading on more complex cases and guiding people through the range of available interventions that can support them to achieve the outcomes that matter to them.
In addition to managing the day-to-day delivery of the service you will also contribute to the direct provision of the service by leading and facilitating group sessions where needed and by offering informal 1-2-1 mental health and wellbeing support that reduces the chance that people will fall through gaps, be isolated and ensuring the right support and the right time that manages a range of needs.
You will lead opportunities to support events in the community to raise awareness of our services and to build links with local organisations and agencies.

An integral part of the local community, we provide retail and horticultural services to the public and training and work-based opportunities to adults with mental ill health. Day-to-day, you’ll assist with the supervision and training of the people we support and contribute to the development of the service. We’ll also rely on you to open the centre and serve customers to enable the sale of plants and associated products during selected bank holidays and weekends. Providing horticultural advice and maintaining all plant stock in good condition will be important too, as will helping to assess risk and getting involved in team evaluations and reviews. And, when it comes to promoting an environment of service user involvement and recovery, again, you’ll be there, ready and willing to play your part.
As well as a proven ability to motivate and train others, including running group activities, you’ll need good time management skills and a creative yet practical approach to problem-solving. We’ll also be looking for lots of initiative and an enthusiastic, flexible and innovative approach to work.
