Fauna & Flora is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Senior Technical Specialist, Enterprise. The primary focus of the role is to play a leading and strategic role in shaping and delivering Fauna & Flora’s work on enterprise development as a means for financing conservation and creating benefits for local partners, indigenous peoples, communities and other stakeholders across our global programme.
You will be a highly motivated and organised individual, looking to apply your advanced expertise in business and entrepreneurship to solve conservation challenges. You will have extensive technical skills in the incubation and scaling of enterprises, including business strategy, facilitation of international market access and leveraging private sector partnerships. You will have work experience in the private sector, including purpose-led enterprises.
You will have demonstrable experience in market research and analysis, business plan development, financial modelling, business valuation, and investment pitch deck creation.
You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the proven ability to liaise across teams and cultures as well as from rural entrepreneurs to companies and investors. You will enjoy applying your business skills to complex issues and explaining these in plain and accessible language.
You will be an excellent communicator and comfortable team leader and player, able to motivate task-focused teams to successful outcomes. You will have excellent facilitation, training and coaching skills. The ability to plan, organise and prioritise workloads to meet deadlines will be a key attribute.
You should hold a relevant degree or equivalent level qualification or equivalent professional experience in business, finance, economics or other relevant discipline. You should be passionate about supporting others to develop their knowledge and skills while being open to learning and able to quickly pick up new skills. You will have considerable experience of applying your skills to a conservation, development or natural resource management context in less developed countries.
Fluency in English is essential, and French is highly desirable. Knowledge of languages relevant to Fauna & Flora’s work, such as Bahasa, Swahili, Russian, Portuguese or Spanish, will be highly valuable
Fauna & Flora is part of Cambridge Conservation Initiative in the David Attenborough Building, providing a great platform for collaboration with other conservation organisations and University of Cambridge departments and institutions. You will be joining a diverse team with global responsibilities and the role offers the opportunity to work within a ground-breaking and entrepreneurial organisation, at the forefront of global conservation.
This position will be based in Cambridge with international travel as required to meet project needs.

You'll lead the scheduling and coordination of the statutory annual review process and be responsible for planning, organising, minuting and drafting all annual review paperwork. A key part of the role involves managing the Salesforce database, ensuring processes are efficient across all areas of KCF's work. Our mission is to supports adults, young people and children living with long-term neurological conditions and/or neuro diversities to access specialist therapies, support, and information in a safe, supportive environment to help them improve their physical and mental well-being.
The Merlin Neuro Therapy Centre, located in mid-Cornwall, is a Cornish charity providing a place of support, therapy, information, and community for people living with a long-term neurological condition and/or those who are neurodiverse. We give financial assistance to our beneficiaries in the form of subsidised specialist therapies. Our purpose built, fully accessible Centre, opened in 2009 and offers physiotherapy; exercise classes; Ayres’ Sensory Integration (ASI) therapy (a discipline of Occupational Therapy), and oxygen therapy. The Primrose Hydrotherapy Pool facility, which was built in the grounds, opened in 2019, providing both individual and group hydrotherapy sessions.
Living with a long-term health condition brings many challenges, not just for those diagnosed, but also for family members. Symptoms can affect physical, cognitive, emotional, and psychological health. For our clients who have sensory processing difficulties, due to being neurodivergent, everyday situations and relationships can be perplexing and taxing.
Our main aims are to improve the health and well-being of our community; help people manage their symptoms and situations; and support their main care giver, often a family member. Services are delivered by a highly experienced team, with a broad range of skills and experience in delivering specialist therapies.
The Role
We are looking for a Community Fundraising Officer who has the key skills to help us raise vital income for our charity. You will develop and deliver fundraising initiatives through partnerships with local groups, schools, associations and individuals. This role will also involve delivering fundraising events. About you

To raise and maximise fundraising within the Cornish community

Recruit, train and lead a community volunteer base who will be advocates for The Merlin Centre by promoting and fundraising for the charity.

Attending group, school and community presentations/talks across the county to successfully communicate our charities mission.

Attending cheque presentations from individual and community fundraising efforts.

Research and identify new community fundraising and promotional activities that are appropriate for the Merlin Centre to take part in.

Support with all event planning for the Merlin Centre

To assist the Income Generation Team in delivering against their financial and non-financial targets as specified within the Income Generation strategy.

Be an outstanding advocate for the Merlin Neurotherapy Centre in line with the core values of the organisation.

To act as a spokesperson for the charity when required, including representing at external events as appropriate

Attend and support events run by the fundraising teams where required.

Gain and maintain in-depth knowledge and understanding of the charity’s work, priorities, future plans and act as a spokesperson for the Charity when required

Any other reasonable duties as required by your line manager.

Our mission is to supports adults, young people and children living with long-term neurological conditions and/or neuro diversities to access specialist therapies, support, and information in a safe, supportive environment to help them improve their physical and mental well-being.
The Merlin Neuro Therapy Centre, located in mid-Cornwall, is a Cornish charity providing a place of support, therapy, information, and community for people living with a long-term neurological condition and/or those who are neurodiverse. We give financial assistance to our beneficiaries in the form of subsidised specialist therapies. Our purpose built, fully accessible Centre, opened in 2009 and offers physiotherapy; exercise classes; Ayres’ Sensory Integration (ASI) therapy (a discipline of Occupational Therapy), and oxygen therapy. The Primrose Hydrotherapy Pool facility, which was built in the grounds, opened in 2019, providing both individual and group hydrotherapy sessions.
Living with a long-term health condition brings many challenges, not just for those diagnosed, but also for family members. Symptoms can affect physical, cognitive, emotional, and psychological health. For our clients who have sensory processing difficulties, due to being neurodivergent, everyday situations and relationships can be perplexing and taxing.
Our main aims are to improve the health and well-being of our community; help people manage their symptoms and situations; and support their main care giver, often a family member. Services are delivered by a highly experienced team, with a broad range of skills and experience in delivering specialist therapies.
The Role
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven individual to join our team as the Business Development Officer with a commercial sales focus. This role requires a unique blend of fundraising expertise and commercial acumen to drive our vision forward.
Additionally, this role will focus on developing commercial sales strategies to generate revenue through partnerships, sponsorships, and product sales. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both fundraising and sales, with a proven track record of achieving targets and building lasting relationships.

About you

Identify, cultivate and manage corporate accounts. Working with the wider Income Generation team, ensure strong stewardship and fulfilment of marketing returns for each corporate account.

Identify and attend networking meetings to educate and inform local business about our charities aims, missions and objectives, and opportunities for supporting our charity.

Seek out new partnerships that could be beneficial to our charity

Woking with the Marketing Manager, support in the creation of marketing for engagement, communication, and fulfilment for corporate accounts.

In liaison with the marketing manager provide support with social media, creating content for platforms such as LinkedIn.

Attend and speak at a variety events to promote the charity and engage with potential corporate accounts

Locate and enrol our charity in business incentives i.e. Charity of the Year.
