To help us achieve our mission, we are recruiting qualified social workers with direct experience of working with children and families, and knowledge and experience of supporting social work students. We are looking for candidates who can contribute to the delivery of teaching across the year, support participants in their local authority hubs and supervise participants during the 2nd year of the programme.
Practice Tutors (PTs) work closely as a peer group to share effective ways of working across participant practice hubs, local authorities and regions. They play a key role within the development and delivery of our social work curriculum, contributing knowledge and expertise to create a culture that promotes outstanding social work education and enables teams to do their best work.
PTs are responsible for teaching and developing participants at the Readiness to Practice stage, regional teaching days and, in participant hubs within local authorities. PTs support four practice hubs, based within statutory children’s social care services. Each practice hub is led by a Consultant Social Worker (CSW). Core to the Practice Tutor role is the ability to provide support, challenge and guidance to participants and CSWs to ensure a high-quality practice learning experience.
Some key responsibilities include:
- Use social work knowledge, theory, practice skill and experience to develop and support participants to become outstanding social workers
- Support CSWs to lead the hubs, role model best social work practice and support effective practice educators
- Teaching for year one participants is during the Readiness for Practice stage both in person and online, attend face to face regional recall days and whole cohort online teaching.. There is also online teaching for our year 2 participants on the programme through large lectures, small seminars and one to one support as necessary

We are looking for a registered social worker with experience in teaching and learning, and an intellectual curiosity to challenge and develop their own ideas by keeping up to date with current research and evidence. The role will suit someone who is passionate about the development of social work practice, innovation and leadership who has a thought-through vision of what excellent social work looks like.

In order to support our strategy by raising awareness of why we exist and what we do, we are
seeking a dynamic and experienced communications professional to join the Marketing and
Communications team. With a strong background in media relations and PR, you will have

Through this work we have seen how challenging parents and carers can find supporting their children’s emotional wellbeing difficulties. Supported by funding from the Surrey Wellbeing Partnership Innovation Fund, we are delighted to be recruiting to this new role of Family Wellbeing Practitioner, which expands our current Community Wellbeing Team offer. This is a collaboration with YMCA East Surrey working in partnership to ensure consistency of support to parents and carers across Surrey. This role will be supporting parent/carers within Elmbridge and Runnymede.
Responsibilities
- To work collaboratively and effectively with statutory and voluntary agencies, to identify parents/carers in need of support and to agree effective referral processes.
- To create, develop and deliver one-to-one interventions, workshops and presentations for small parent/carer groups covering a range of emotional wellbeing and mental health topics.
- To set up and facilitate peer-to-peer support and discussion groups.
- To identify a range of specialist services and agencies who can offer further support for parents and families
- To work in partnership with YMCA East Surrey who will provide support to parents/carers across Tandridge, Reigate and Banstead
- To promote the service within The Eikon Charity and with statutory and voluntary sector partners across the region – this might include presentations at networking events and production of promotional material.
- To help assess the needs and strengths of the parents/carers referred into the service and help them identify short-term goals to achieve desired change.
- Record and review parent/carer goals using the Goal-Based Outcomes tool and use this to evaluate the effectiveness of interventions.
- To involve parents/carers in the co-design of group work and ensure that the service responds to user voice and meets the needs identified.
- Record and collect data with various tools and use this to evaluate the effectiveness of interventions
- To take responsibility for own caseload of parents/carers, some with complex and multiple needs
- To work collaboratively with other Eikon delivery teams in delivering interventions for children, young people and families.

- To provide, record and report the appropriate data to ensure support programmes can be accurately monitored and evaluated

Job summary
The Trust, Statutory and Lottery Fundraising Team is part of the Fundraising, Marketing and Communications Department and is central to Whizz Kidz contributing to its ambitious goal of ensuring that every young wheelchair user in the UK is mobile, enabled and included. The five-strong team is responsible for delivering over £3m a year for the organisation’s services.
As Trust Fundraising Officer you will be growing income through managing smaller funders and building close relationships with them, issuing small Trust mailings, researching new funding opportunities and developing case for support liaising with colleagues in service teams.
You will also ensure that donor records are maintained accurately on the fundraising CRM, process bank and cash donations and thank donors promptly and appropriately. The role will involve supporting the maintenance of the team’s administrative systems and the team’s move to a new CRM – Microsoft Dynamics.
The small Trust donor pool is a well-established income stream for Whizz Kidz with content for proposals readily available and warm funders interested in supporting our work. The role receives advice and guidance from the Trust Fundraising Manager on the day- to- day work and the opportunity to develop experience with a range of funders. You will use your skills of relationship management to make a real difference to the lives of young wheelchair users. Finally, you will join an ambitious, young-person focused and collaborative fundraising team, keen to share success and support one another.
The person
The ideal candidate will have experience and understanding of Trust fundraising including preparing successful fundraising proposals and reports, effectively managing funder relationships and strong funding research skills. They will also have experience of managing fundraising administration, income processing and data management with skills using a fundraising CRM. They will have excellent writing skills in relation to proposal and report writing, be a confident communicator with an ability to engage funders with the work of Whizz Kidz, manage their time effectively and prioritise their own workload.

The ideal Children's Resource Worker will already have some experience in working with unaccompanied asylum-seeking children/young people, neurodivergent children/young people, and have worked with Parent-Child Arrangements. An understanding of therapeutic support for foster carers and children would be beneficial. We are currently looking for an innovative and motivated group worker/ youth worker to join our dynamic, ambitious team.
We wish to recruit a Vaping Practitioner to cover the County of Essex, based both at home and within our central office in Chelmsford. This person will deliver the work of The Children's Society to children & young people who are engaged in vaping through the use of individual support and group work, thereby ensuring the children and young people are educated on harm reduction methods and have access to quitting and reduction support.
This role sits within Youth Impact, which works to provide immediate one-to-one and group support for children who urgently need support.
Your experience is key in securing this role:
In order to be successful in this role, you must have:
-Experience working with young people in a group and one to one setting
-Have understanding of the risks and vulnerabilities young people face especially in relation to vaping
-Have access to a car and a full UK driving license
-Be able to use IT to support case recording and calendar management
You will need substantial experience in working with vulnerable children and young people either in a paid or unpaid capacity. You will have experience of developing and facilitating groups with young people and delivering one to one support both virtually and face to face in the school, community or home setting.
Ideally but not essentially you will have, or be working towards a relevant professional qualification e.g. a Diploma/Certificate in Youth and Community work, counselling, social care or related NVQ or have relevant experience in these fields.

The role of a Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) Refuge Caseworker at Asha Projects is crucial in providing high-quality, safe, temporary refuge accommodation and support to South Asian women and their children experiencing domestic violence. The advisor will work within an intersectional framework to ensure inclusivity and address various forms of oppression and discrimination. Key responsibilities include liaising with agencies, providing emotional and practical assistance, conducting weekly key work sessions, and ensuring residents have suitable housing to move to. The advisor will also be responsible for raising safeguarding concerns, developing peer-to-peer support, and maintaining good working relationships with other agencies.
In addition to direct support, the VAWG Advisor will manage housing and financial aspects, ensuring health and safety policies are upheld, allocating accommodation, and maintaining rental income and budgetary systems. Administrative duties include maintaining accurate case files, preparing reports, and staying updated on relevant legislation and best practices. The role requires a strong commitment to Asha's values, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and a willingness to be flexible and responsive to the needs of the organization and its clients.

A little bit about the role
The Finance Officer will play a vital role within the Finance team being a trusted partner to our colleagues who are creating social change for children who do not have a safe or stable home.
You will take ownership of the purchase ledger and manage documents from receipts in ExpenseIn through to supplier payment. You will resolve issues with suppliers as they arise and maintain effective communications with suppliers. You will be responsible for accurately processing other transactions and inputting them into the accounting system (XERO), such as bank, petty cash and sales invoices. You will support the Finance team with other administrative tasks including month end closing.
Some key responsibilities include:
- Preparing accurate weekly payment runs using online banking software
- Managing the purchase ledger, including invoices, supplier setup, account coding, and purchase order matching, while resolving supplier issues.
- Managing the finance team inbox
- Supporting delivery team with credit control
- Adhering to the organisation’s financial policies and assist other departments in doing the same

A little bit about you
This role will suit someone with strong experience in purchase ledger management within a medium-sized organisation, ideally within a charity but not essential. The ideal candidate will be highly organised, proactive, and confident in handling online approval workflows and purchase order systems.
They should have a solid understanding of bookkeeping principles and a track record of improving finance or administrative processes. While an AAT qualification or equivalent is desirable, practical experience is key. The panel is looking for someone detail-orientated, efficient, and capable of working independently while collaborating effectively across teams.
