About the Role
As the Evaluation & Learning Lead, you will develop and implement evaluation activities to effectively track and assess the impact of SSH CC. You will also participate in projects across Tameside, Greater Manchester, England and the UK, contributing to scoping and design phases by integrating evidence-based thinking and impact strategies from the outset. Your creativity will be vital in designing innovative ways to communicate findings to diverse audiences.
In this role, you will:
- Develop and implement evaluation activities to monitor the processes and outcomes of SSH CC's theory of change and its individual workstreams.
- Assist local partners in gathering data from joint projects with SSH CC, producing learning reports, and sharing insights within the community.
- Create and deliver communication strategies that effectively showcase project impact to stakeholders, partners, funders, and the wider community.
- Collate and monitor data across workstreams for dissemination to partners, funders, and SCUK.
- Collaborate with local partners to share data and insights, enhancing the tracking of children's needs and the impact of specific projects.
About You
To be successful, you should have:
- A working knowledge and understanding of different evaluation approaches.
- Experience in qualitative and quantitative research, including designing and conducting interviews/focus groups and qualitative data analysis.
- Proven experience in evaluating projects and communicating findings in accessible, creative, and meaningful ways.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships at all levels, both within the organisation and externally.
- Relevant experience in project delivery and evaluation, including data gathering and analysis, or training in research methods, statistics, or data analysis.
- A commitment to SCUK & SSH CC vision, mission, and values.

The Children's Society has been helping children and young people in this country for over 140 years. We run local services that support children when they are at their most vulnerable and in desperate need of help. We're there for children, every step of the way.
This role sits within our Nottinghamshire Service which works with and supports children and young people involved in and/or vulnerable to sexual exploitation/criminal exploitation and those young people that have required therapeutic support. We also have parent/carer support in place to emotionally support parents and carers that are impacted by exploitation and to raise awareness and increase understanding to enable to them to increase protection for their children.
We also deliver work around 'systems change' that challenge the challenges and barriers that exist within professional systems and processes that may increase further risk and harm for young people. The project supports young people who are wishing to exit the abusive and exploitative relationships/situations they find themselves involved/forced into. It also works preventatively with children and young people in a variety of settings as well as offering training and information sessions to groups of professionals regarding sexual exploitation.
We are currently looking for a creative and resilient person to join our dynamic, ambitious team.

About the Role
Club Managers are crucial members of the delivery team, responsible for an exciting programme of activities for their given area. As Senior Club Manager, you will work across all Youth Zone sessions and have lead responsibility for:
- Sessions for 13 – 19 year olds and up to 25 with those with disabilities. Senior club takes place Wednesday - Saturday evenings.
- Ensuring there is a high-quality, creative and fun offer, focussed on the needs of young people and in line with the Youth Zone’s aspirations to provide members with the best possible experiences and opportunities.
- The continuous improvement of the delivery and inputting towards the strategic delivery plan for the Youth Zone.
This is a fun, exciting and challenging role in a new, growing, and ambitious charity and no two days will be the same.
About You
We are looking for a Senior Club Manager with a relevant qualification or strong demonstrable experience in Youth Work. You will have evidence of ongoing professional development (for example safeguarding, health and safety, management)
You will have experience of:
- Working with young people aged 13 to 19 (up to 25 for those with additional needs) in a range of settings
- Engaging vulnerable, disengaged or hard to reach young people in activities in-line with relevant guidance and good practice
- Managing a team of staff, ideally including volunteers

As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, this role will be responsible for overseeing all transactional processing within finance for all business units and legal entities within the Group alongside the preparation of Statutory Accounts for YMCA Robin Hood Group.
You will be responsible for leading and delivering the core finance operations as follows:

With extensive post Qualification experience in a senior Finance / Accountancy role in a business environment you will have proven experience of leading, managing and developing diverse teams including recruitment, managing performance, training and coaching. We are looking to see a successful track record of effectively managing transactional finance and balance sheet management with substantial experience of developing and implementing financial control procedures.
You will have extensive experience of providing advice and support to managers and staff from non-financial areas and are able to interpreting complex data and presenting findings in a simple and easily understood format to a variety of audiences.
From your previous roles you will have an in depth knowledge of accountancy and payroll systems (knowledge of Sage accountancy and payroll systems would be very helpful) with an knowledge of financial management in the not-for-profit sector, housing associations, businesses and charities would be highly desirable but not essential.
You must have experience of preparing statutory accounts and feel confident to lead that process for our organisation; this is a critical part of the role and unfortunately we do not have the ability to train or teach this aspect of the role.
