Overall purpose of post
The Marketing and Communications Coordinator will have a key role to play in delivering the marketing and communications strategy of Low Carbon Hub. It is a busy role that works across multiple projects with multiple partners, and you will actively input into plans for project delivery. The post holder will write, edit, coordinate and publish content across various channels including websites, social media, press releases, print and online communications and marketing materials.
As part of a small team in a busy environment, we are looking for someone who can proactively get stuck in and be comfortable working flexibly to take on ad hoc tasks when they arise. You will get to be involved in all aspects of communications and work on a variety of interesting projects as part of a leading community energy organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing
- Support the development and delivery of marketing plans for new and existing products and services, including community energy share offers.
- Identify, investigate and recommend opportunities for reaching new audiences, such as potential investors.
- Co-ordinate the design and development of digital and offline marketing collateral to meet organisational objectives, and in consultation with project partners.
- Provide marketing support for events such as AGM, conferences, webinars.
- Represent Low Carbon Hub at events, such as community events, attend meetings, run stalls and give presentations.
Communications
- Lead on developing and uploading engaging content for the Low Carbon Hub website as well as programme websites, such as Action on Carbon and Energy in Schools and Energy Solutions Oxfordshire.
- Manage social media channels, including the creation of engaging content, using the appropriate tone and voice, and lead on responding to and starting conversations to build brand awareness.
- Produce, edit and distribute updates and key material for internal and external audiences such as newsletters, reports, and case studies.
- Provide communications support for Low Carbon Hub programmes such as the Energy Advice Programme and Helpdesk service.
- Work closely with the Community Engagement Manager to develop communications support for low carbon community groups.
- Stay up to date on relevant current affairs and communications trends, building these into our regular communication mix.
- Capture learning and contribute to monitoring and evaluation activities.
- Liaise with, and report to, project partners and funders on a timely basis.
Press
- Field inquiries from press, politicians and service users.
- Create press releases and statements as needed.
- Maintain reporting system for media appearances.
Brand
- Ensure consistent branding is used throughout the organisation and help maintain brand reputation.
- Act as brand champion.
Selection criteria: Experience, knowledge and skills
Essential:
- Minimum of two years’ experience in a dedicated marketing or communications role.
- Demonstrable ability to manage multiple projects and deliver to a high standard.
- Ability to market and coordinate events.
- Excellent understanding of digital platforms and know-how to deliver campaigns.
- An excellent grasp of English and the ability to write concise, focused copy tailored for different audiences, with excellent proofreading skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate and translate complex messages into memorable and engaging ones.
- Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to liaise with external contacts and a range of stakeholders.
- A team player with the ability to build relationships with our partners.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision, assess and prioritise workload and deliver to a deadline.

Desirable:
- Able to use Wordpress, Canva, Mailchimp, Hootsuite and Adobe InDesign, or similar programmes.
- Experience in briefing and managing external suppliers such as designers.
- Ability to set up metrics to increase understanding of the impact of marketing activity and to report and use evaluation for improvement.
- Experience of working with Office 365, Trello, Google Analytics, and social analytics.

The Supporter Services Lead is a pivotal role dedicated to ensuring that every supporter’s interaction with Comic Relief is positive, memorable, and contributes to long-term relationships. Key responsibilities:

The role of Fundraising Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting the team to generate income to support Museum programmes and charitable objectives.
You will contribute to achieving the team’s aims and objectives through undertaking key administrative tasks and assisting with the delivery of the individual and regular giving programme, challenge event fundraising and a £28M capital fundraising campaign supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
The ideal candidate will have a broad range of administration and fundraising experience, with excellent verbal and written skills and a passion for delivering excellent supporter care.
Travel between the Museums two public sites in the Midlands and London and occasionally across the UK will be required as part of the role which will also provide opportunities to attend key Museum events and be the face and first point of contact for many of the Museums donors.
As a Fundraising Assistant, you will have a variety of roles which will include:
- Supporting the Head of Development and Development Managers with reporting requirements and administrative tasks including fundraising initiatives such as Adopt an Artefact, individual giving fundraising and fundraising challenge events
- Ensuring the Museum’s Development webpages are updated regularly with accurate information around partnerships, Development programmes and key contact points, and liaising with partners to provide content on these partnerships for their own websites and communications
- Inputting individual prospect and supporter records on the Museum’s CRM database in a secure, accurate, accessible manner, and the reporting data in ways that support effective management analysis
- Ensuring that supporter communications are recorded on Raisers Edge in a timely manner
- Playing a key role in ensuring that all RAF Museum donors enjoy a positive relationship with the Museum by delivering accurate and timely donor acknowledgement and the maintenance of supporter files
- Support the Head of Development and Development Manager Individual Giving with planning and delivery of the launch of the public MDP campaign
- Prepare for and attending face-to-face fundraising events including RAF Graduations and Air Shows
- Completing the weekly donation reporting for online and contactless donation
- Managing in a timely and efficient manner the processing of monthly Gift Aid claims maximising income from eligible forms

This registered charity offers short restorative breaks at its highly specialised purpose-built centre, together with practical and emotional support to children with serious illnesses and their families. The charity offers a continuously evolving program of care for families of children aged 0-19. The role
As Head of Fundraising and Engagement you will be part of the senior leadership team and you will play a key role in both developing and delivering an effective fundraising growth strategy. You will be responsible for leading the team and growing and diversifying income across various income streams.
You will work with the Head of Finance to set budgets and forecasts and you will ensure that each member of the team is enabled to achieve their targets. You will also work collaboratively across the organisation to ensure that you are growing the charity's profile, and work alongside service colleagues to best engage beneficiaries and stakeholders in the charity. You will ensure that an exceptional stewardship journey is implemented and imbedded within the organisation.
About You
You will have had extensive experience within the third sector preferably across multiple income streams, some experience of Marketing and Communications would be desirable too. You will be able to demonstrate that you have grown income significantly as well as be able to show that you have had experience in developing and implementing a fundraising strategy. You will have experience of managing a team including staff and volunteers.
You will be able to show that you have had experience in forecasting and working towards financial targets as well as proven experience in managing a team. Experience in working with a CRM System is also desirable as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills.
This is a Hybrid role with some time spent in the office in Bracknell and at the Charities Specialist Centre in Basingstoke. You will be a car driver and have access to a car. RABI is the charity at the heart of farming, providing expert mental health and wellbeing support, as well as financial, emotional and practical help to farming people in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
Key Purpose of the role:
This is a dual-purpose role with a major component being the organisational Designated Safeguarding Lead with primary responsibility for driving good practice and ensuring upskilling of staff, trustees, and volunteers to assess risk, identify, and report concerns. The DSL lead is also responsible for supporting the embedding of a safeguarding culture and development of all processes needed to support best practice throughout the organisation and associated external activities.
The other component is that of Senior SD Manager, a position with the day-to-day responsibility for ensuring the efficiencies, and responsive running of the service delivery team. The post holder will provide oversight to ensure the team are motivated, driven, appropriately supported and have all the tools and skills needed to execute their roles effectively.
The Senior Manager will also oversee the development, management and continuous improvement of all SD systems, processes, and procedures needed to ensure all existing and new support services run smoothly. The post holder will ensure SD is compliant in all areas, including those services provided by Third Party Partners, and be the CRM subject matter expert ensuring that new systems provide the data and information required and that it is analysed and communicated out internally to the Head of Service Delivery, plus other relevant Heads of Department, and externally as needed and in a timely manner.
