Job description

An opportunity has arisen to join The Woodlarks Centre (TWC) in the role of Finance and Administration Manager. This role is a senior management position and is pivotal in the day to day running of the charity. 

The focus must be on Finance and the candidate should be minimum Lvel 4 AAT's or equivalent. Level 3 would be c onsidered with the opportunity for completing training to level 4-5. This role will also involve the candidate on an adminustrative level.Ultimately you will help TWC grow and thrive. 

Principal Accountabilities                  

  • Provide timely financial and cashflow management  of TWC consistent with its Mission, Values and Strategic plan, and generally accepted accounting practices, and prepare annual accounts for external audit.
  • Manage, motivate, train and lead non-Care staff, and volunteers
  • Maintain, plan and improve systems, policies and procedures to optimise business performance at lowest cost and maximised revenue, security and efficiency of TWC
  • Provide and manage human resource, IT, procurement, project management and administrative services either directly or through outsourced contracts
  • Maintain appropriate, open and timely communication with the Registered Manager, all staff, volunteers and trustees
  • Represent and positively market TWC externally
  • Oversee day-to-day business operations
  • Design strategy and set goals for growth
  • Maintain budgets and optimize expenses
  • Evaluate and improve operations and financial performance
  • Prepare regular finance and management reports for upper management and Trustees
  • Help to provide solutions to issues (e.g. profit decline, employee conflicts, loss of business to competitors)
