We are seeking an enthusiatic individual with strong organisational and communication skills to join Calm Mediation as a Case Administrator. Calm Mediation is a registered charity that works for the public benefit to empower communities to prevent, manage and resolve conflict. We specialise in working with individuals or groups who are involved in or likely to become involved in disputes and interpersonal conflict principally by way of independent and impartial mediation , conciliation, conflict coaching management and training.

This exciting new Case Administrator role offers you the opportunity to join a growing organisation and work across our services to support the work we do. As an adminstrator for the Restorative Justice Service, Neighbour Mediation, Family Mediation, Peer Mediation & Workplace Mediation services you will gain a wealth of experience. Based in our offices in Camberwell 3 days (minimum) per week, you will also be a central hub for enquiries from the public and our partner organisations.

Child Bereavement UK helps children and young people (up to age 25), parents, and families, to rebuild their lives when a child grieves or when a child dies.

Supporter Care Administrator
Salary: £27,300 per annum
Hours: 37.5 per week (full time)
Reporting to: Head of Individual Giving
Base: Hybrid Working (from our Offices in either Loudwater, Buckinghamshire or Widnes, Cheshire and from home)

This is a full-time role which requires an experienced administrator with CRM experience (Raiser’s Edge) to work closely with the Head of Individual Giving, along with supporting the wider fundraising team.

The Supporter Care Administrator will:

· be responsible for the administration of voluntary income and volunteer administration, ensuring donations are efficiently and accurately identified, recorded and acknowledged, and for the day-to-day management of the volunteer database.

• have the ability to work with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• have good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload.
• be professional and a hard-working team player who can remain calm under pressure.
• have excellent written, communication and IT skills along with experience of CRM databases.
• be the lead contact for the coordination of some database projects for the fundraising operation, such as the administration of gift aid claims and coordinating data relating to appeals or volunteers.
• support the fundraising team by providing other administrative support as required.

About You:

Having worked in a third sector direct marketing role previously, you will have experience running effective national and regional campaigns using a variety of fundraising channels including digital, email, social media, direct mail, and telemarketing. With your good organisational and time management skills you’ll be able to meet deadlines and manage conflicting priorities under pressure. 

You will have knowledge of usability testing, user research methods and conversion rate optimisation as well as an understanding of fundraising regulator guidance, gambling commission compliance and GDPR. 

About The Role

• Manage the delivery of all Retention campaigns from concept through to evaluation, using data and insight to drive creative and production, drawing up schedules, and managing the approval processes
• Work collaboratively with data teams to ensure effective use of supporter profiling for delivery across a range of Retention campaigns
• Manage relationships with external agencies including media houses, designers and printers; to negotiate costs and relevant performance reviews
• Responsibility for collation of all KPI tracking, trend analysis and activity results that feed into the team’s reporting and performance structure 
• Work alongside the Content team to research and develop retention. To gather information, case studies and photos for use in all direct marketing campaigns. Where appropriate, to liaise with external agencies such as designers and copywriters

• Oversee all HR policies and procedures, being guided by relevant internal data and industry best practice, and ensuring they are regularly reviewed

• Processing and managing of maternity, paternity, and adoption in line with policies and best practice
• Running of monthly HR reports, to include sickness auditing and dissemination of relevant data to CEO and line managers, if required

About the Service

Our Nightlight Service is proud to provide urgent support, crisis intervention and emotional support to people experiencing a mental health crisis in Hertfordshire as an alternative to statutory pathways.

We provide support to adults across Hertfordshire 7 days a week, 365 days a year through our helpline, crisis centres, crisis cafes and a weekend Crisis House. We aim to provide a safe space for people in crisis to talk and feel supported, be listened to without judgement, access relevant support with problem solving and facilitate access to external services when necessary. As a member of our team you will work closely with service users in crisis by using a person-centred approach as to ensure that each individual is supported with dignity and respect.

The objectives of Hertfordshire Mind Network’s (HMN) Nightlight Mental Health Crisis Services are:

• To improve the mental wellbeing of people experiencing mental health crisis in Hertfordshire.
• To increase early access to help for people experiencing mental health crisis in Hertfordshire, by providing a clear and effective pathway to services provided by Herts Mind Network and other third sector and statutory providers.
• To contribute to an improvement in individual mental wellbeing.
• To remain a source of independent support for all clients.
• To provide an alternative pathway to people in distress and crisis to support better outcomes and reduce the demand on statutory crisis services and emergency services.

At the Crisis Cafes we promote and enable people to access support in a way that suits them, whether that’s through talking to someone or simply by providing a safe space to have time alone or engage with trained staff.

About the Role

Mental Healthcare Support Workers are key members of staff delivering the Nightlight Mental Health Crisis Service, taking part in a rota covering 7 days per week, ensuring the delivery of quality crisis support services and instilling Hertfordshire Mind Network’s values throughout the crisis cafe and helpline provision. Working closely with other staff (bank staff, volunteers), coordinators, team leaders and Crisis manager to ensure services are of the highest quality and support the continued growth and development of the service.

• Annual leave entitlement of 25 days per year pro rata, rising in increments to a max. of 29 days after 5 years employment (plus 8 days Bank Holidays)

Support will be provided face-to-face in TT settings, via secure online meeting platforms or over the telephone.
• Along with their NHS clinician, assess clients' support needs with a view to creating, implementing and adjusting a personalised action plan to help improve clients' mental health and achieve their stated employment goals.
• Develop and deliver a range of practical services to support clients to find work, including career guidance, job searching skills, CV preparation, application form completion, interview skills, advice on local labour market opportunities and advice on education and training to further their career.
• Provide guidance to support clients to stay in existing work, including advice on mental health disclosure, negotiating reasonable adjustments to existing workplaces, creating wellness action plans and improving productivity, support to return to work after sickness absence or to leave an existing role with dignity, and signpost clients to organisations that can represent them (EAs should only look to represent clients in exceptional circumstances).
• Facilitate access to other advice in areas such as financial benefits, debt management, food banks and community food outlets and social housing providers, as necessary.

The role holder must also:

• NVQ Level 3 minimum or equivalent in either employment support/advice, mental health or other relevant area, or equivalent experience gained through work experience in the field.
• Understanding and experience of the support needs of people with common mental health conditions in finding, retaining, returning to, or leaving mainstream employment.
• Knowledge and experience of working in a health or social care setting.
• Evidence of basic counselling skills.

The Upper Room (TUR) works with a wide range of financially and socially disadvantaged groups including homeless people, people with long-term mental health conditions, asylum-seekers, refugees and ex-offenders – helping them to improve their lives and become productive members of society. Central to our offering is our UR4Meals service, providing free, home-cooked food to people who cannot afford to provide for themselves. We are also very proud of our UR4Driving programme, which supports people recently out of prison with free driving lessons in exchange for community volunteering. Is leading the charity through its next phases of development as it prepares itself for year on year increases in demand with a focus on delivering the charity’s future resilience plan (Project 12/25). The CEO is accountable for overall charity performance (financial, operational, governance, compliance), team (paid and volunteer) support and development. Administrative support:

• Assist the Production Manager with mailing specifications, collating internal information, creating purchase orders, and related administration.

In this role you will be responsible for managing a high performing and highly motivated team, to engage and enhance relationships with individuals, grant making trusts, corporate and institutional donors delivering against ambitious income targets. 

Responsibilities Include

Strategic Planning

• To work with the Head of Philanthropy and Partnerships to develop and deliver a Major Gifts strategy with a focus on increasing income to meet ambitious funding targets, and to deliver the strategy through annual strategic planning, setting clear targets and KPIs focussing on year on year growth
• To lead on a departmental strategy for generating a pipeline of high-net-worth individuals and major gifts prospects
• Develop the annual budget for the team and take responsibility for the monitoring of income against budget.

 Portfolio Management

• To work closely with the Head of Philanthropy and Partnerships, the CEO, Trustees and other stakeholders on prospect identification, cultivation and asks
• To personally manage a small portfolio of high-level donors, including institutional funders to secure five and six figure gifts and ensure their long-term commitment to the charity.

 Team Management

• To oversee the operation of the Philanthropy and Partnerships team and to have direct line management responsibility for a team of four Relationship Managers, to ensure they are engaged, delivering agreed strategies, and meeting agreed financial targets
• To oversee all relevant fundraising activities, including research and analysis of current and potential prospects, ensuring that activity is data protection compliant
• To ensure the team maintains accurate records of relationships with major donors on our database, and to ensure that due diligence is carried out where required
• To over see the management of a range of events for supporters and prospects
• To support the Head of Philanthropy and Partnerships with planning and strategy as required
• Represent the Philanthropy and Partnerships team at quarterly review meetings and other forums as appropriate

About the Role:

1.  Lead donor mapping process for Trusts and Foundations. Continuously, update this mapping document regularly based on engagement with prospective donors.
2. Lead the proposal/concept development process for T&F and MA Partner offices submissions.
3. Support the Global Programme Development and Quality Assurance Manager in managing a portfolio of institutional donor grants relationships and implement donor engagement strategies for prioritised donors (including FCDO, UN agencies, USAID, SIDA, START Network, etc.).
4. Support the Monitoring Evaluation Accountability and Learning (MEAL) Manager to strengthen MEAL system globally. This includes ensuring high-quality data tracking progress, analysing data, and generating knowledge and documentation of best practices.
