About us
Who we are
We are proud to provide the community with access to independent mediation as an effective means of resolving conflict, and to restorative justice as a means of repairing the harm of crime.
Our growing team is experienced, innovative and client-centred. We offer conflict resolution options for homes, workplaces, schools, universities, communities (eg. park users, retailers, etc) and for those affected by crime.
The processes we use are designed to ensure that clients have a voice in changing their situation for the better. They are also given the structures and techniques to empower them to resolve the situation - knowledge which they can use for the rest of their lives.
Our culture and values
Our vision: A voice, a choice, a chance for change
Our values:
Community focussed
We strengthen communities by improving relationships between people and by building their capacity to resolve problems.
High quality
We strive to ensure that people in the communities we serve can access the best mediation and restorative justice expertise.
Open
We encourage and support people to communicate constructively and to be open to new ideas and change.
Transformative
We give people a chance to create a positive way forward.
Fair
We strive to treat people equitably and to enable fair solutions to problems.
Equality, diversity and inclusion policy
We work with a panel of over 100 mediators and restorative justice (RJ) practitioners, aged 18-80 years. They, like our staff, have come from a wide variety of prior experiences. One of our goals is to further diversify our staff, trustees and panel of practitioners - this is being actively pursued through funding, training and recruitment.
Our clients live in every community in London and beyond - we put great effort into encouraging openness about individual needs and to meeting those needs, as well as encouraging empathy for the needs of others. For example, interpreters are provided without charge, for clients to take part in the mediation or RJ process.
