The Junction is an out of hours service, open 365 evenings a year, to support and assist individuals experiencing a mental health concern. The aim is to alleviate the need for people in the Swindon locality to access A&E acute mental health services and primary care GP services unnecessarily by managing the presenting symptoms/mental health crisis along with the triggers and context for that crisis.
As an Acute Mental Health Practitioner, you will be providing a preventative, person centred approach to people accessing the service who may be experiencing a mental health crisis.
The service is open from 4PM-11PM, 365 days a year so this position will include some weekends and bank holidays.

The Role
This role will lead on the production of monthly management accounts and other financial reports in relation to projects and programmes, assisting in the preparation of annual budgets as well as the maintenance and development of systems to deliver the most effective finance support to the organisation.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- An ability to work in a complex finance role, with strong technical knowledge of statutory, management and financial accounting.
- Experience in providing variance analysis of actual spend against budget and forecast to assist with financial planning.
- Experience in month end processes, cash flow reconciliation, accruals and reconciliation of the purchase ledger
- Experience of working in foreign currencies.
- Excellent financial analysis skills & attention to detail.
- Ability to evaluate, analyse and improve financial systems and processes.

Salary – £35,000 - £40,000 per annum dependent on experience

We are currently working hybrid with blended office and homeworking with the ability to work up to three days from home most weeks.

About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join Depaul UK to help us develop our Step Forward (Floating Support) services in Cheshire West and Chester.
The Step Forward (Floating Support) service provides tailored support to young people aged 15-19 with care experience, to prepare for and transition into independent living in their own tenancy. The worker will hold a caseload and will support young people in working towards their goals which will lead to further independence.
Support will take place in young people’s accommodation and out in the community. The post will involve working closely with the allocated social worker and the Leaving Care Team, as well as local organisations, statutory services, and support agencies, to achieve the best possible outcomes for the young people we support. This service will be based alongside our accommodation service which provides Semi-Independent Accommodation for 16 and 17 year old young people who are leaving care.
Key responsibilities include:
· To complete a full assessment of each young person’s strengths, needs and goals to develop a holistic and strengths-based support plan and tailored programme of support.
· Provide a programme of support with young people to cover accommodation needs,
· independent living skills, support with education, employment and learning and social and emotional issues.
· To support young people aged 15+ to prepare for independent living and develop necessary skills.
· To understand and support young people using a trauma-informed approach,
· awareness and understanding of adverse childhood approaches and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT)
· Where young people have moved into accommodation the worker will provide support through a programme of regular visits. These may include support and advice or more structured life-skills training as required.
· Help young people to apply for benefits, complete relevant application forms, train to learn budgeting skills and managing money, including support to prioritise and pay bills and rent.
· Actively support young people to stay in or enter suitable education, employment and training.
· Support young people to access and liaise with health services, including mental health services, drug and alcohol support services and counselling referrals.

Crisis Recovery Worker (Mental Health Liaison Team)

Location: Milton Keynes
This role is an exciting opportunity to work alongside the Mental Health Liaison Team at Milton Keynes University Hospital to support individuals presenting on hospital wards with a mental health crisis and deliver one-to-one crisis focused support, whilst also supporting them to access the Crisis Café, other Mind BLMK services or other external services within their local community.
Working alongside the Mental Health Liaison Team at Milton Keynes University Hospital the Crisis Recovery Worker will support individuals presenting on hospital wards with a mental health crisis in the evenings/weekends and deliver one-to-one crisis focused support.
Service Delivery

Effectively and thoroughly assess levels of risk for people accessing the service.

Take a holistic approach based on the individuals needs and enable individuals to explore the situation affecting their mental health and wellbeing and support them to access the Crisis Café, other Mind BLMK services or other external services within their local community.

Work with individuals to co-produce a safety plan to address their crisis, based on the persons situation, coping strategies and mechanisms in place.

Work in an agile between other Mind BLMK services including Milton Keynes Crisis Café, Milton Keynes Young Person’s Sanctuary, 111 option mental health and cover where needed.

Bring the expertise and value of voluntary sector to the statutory environment and work in a collaborative and blended way.

Bring a pioneering spirit to the role and a willingness to work on a new, innovative project.Carry out health and safety responsibilities as directed by Managers in line with Mind BLMK’s H&S policies, procedures, and guidance (risk assessments, reviews, reporting, safeguarding, incidents/accidents, premises).

As Finance Manager, you will have the opportunity to positively impact local lives by leading and overseeing all aspects of our financial operations. Duties & Responsibilities
Leadership
- Lead and mentor a small finance team, fostering a culture of professionalism, accountability, and continuous improvement, ensuring the day-to-day smooth efficient running of the finance function.
- Contribute to strategy development and implementation as part of the wider SLT.
- Work closely with the CEO, Deputy CEO and Board of Trustees to facilitate good governance and risk management, including attendance at the monthly Finance Sub-Committee.
- Manage, maintain and develop financial systems and controls, increasing their impact and quality and implementing best practices in financial management.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and reporting requirements (e.g. Charity Commission, HMRC).
- Ensure FSSW fulfils its legal and regulatory requirements around GDPR.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including our Auditor and peers across the FareShare network.
- Act as a local ambassador for FSSW.
Finance Operations Management
- Undertake the day-to-day bookkeeping (Xero, Dext, ApprovalMax) including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank, payroll, banking, and general ledger maintenance.
- Manage the staff payroll and pension process, monthly HMRC reporting and payments, including monitoring of VAT, tax, and gift aid, and prepare required returns.
- Lead on procurement practices, including relationship management of key suppliers such as insurance, utilities, IT providers to ensure best value for money.
- Petty cash controls across all FSSW sites.
- Debtor management, including liaising with internal membership account managers.
- Other finance administration activities as required.
Monitoring and Reporting
- Manage all aspects of the financial cycle, including budgeting, forecasting, fixed asset management, reserves management and financial reporting.
- Prepare monthly management accounts and supporting commentary for presentation to SLT and Trustees.
- Provide insightful financial analysis and reporting to inform and support decision-making and funding applications across the organisation, including quarterly reviews.
- Prepare year end accounts to trial balance and lead the annual audit process.
- Ensure Restricted Funds are allocated correctly and assist with the monitoring of their budgets and cash flow in conjunction with the SLT.
- Assist the Deputy CEO to collate relevant evidence e.g. invoices for grant monitoring and reporting.
- Ensure day-to-day management of IT and data protection.
- Complete administration duties such as filing to Charity Commission and Companies House as directed to comply with statutory reporting requirements.
General
- Respond to communications via telephone, email, in person or via inhouse IT/systems.
- Be willing to receive and engage positively with any visitors to the warehouse and office space.
- Support FSSW events.
- Carry out any other duties that may reasonably be required in support of the main purpose of the role, including liaising with the wider FSSW team.

About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join Depaul UK to help us develop our Step Forward (Floating Support) services in Cheshire West and Chester. The Step Forward (Floating Support) service provides tailored support to young people aged 15-19 with care experience, to prepare for and transition into independent living in their own tenancy. The worker will hold a caseload and will support young people in working towards their goals which will lead to further independence. Support will take place in young people’s accommodation and also out in the community.
The post will involve working closely with the allocated social worker and the Leaving Care Team, as well as local organisations, statutory services, and support agencies, to achieve the best possible outcomes for the young people we support. This service will be based alongside our accommodation service which provides Semi-Independent Accommodation for 16 and 17 year old young people who are leaving care.
Key responsibilities include:
- To complete a full assessment of each young person’s strengths, needs and goals to develop a holistic and strengths-based support plan and tailored programme of support.
- Provide a programme of support with young people to cover accommodation needs, independent living skills, support with education, employment and learning and social and emotional issues.
- To support young people aged 15+ to prepare for independent living and develop necessary skills.
- To understand and support young people using a trauma-informed approach, awareness and understanding of adverse childhood approaches and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT)
- Where young people have moved into accommodation the worker will provide support through a programme of regular visits. These may include support and advice, or more structured life-skills training as required.
- Help young people to apply for benefits, complete relevant application forms, train to learn budgeting skills and manage money, including support to prioritise and pay bills and rent.
- Actively support young people to stay in or enter suitable education, employment and training.
- Support young people to access and liaise with health services, including mental health services, drug and alcohol support services and counselling referrals.
About You
You will need to have the following skills and experience:
- Able to work on own initiative but at same time able to exercise sound judgement in knowing when to consult with peers and clients to meet the service KPI’s
- A clear understanding and ability to implement risk management, information sharing and data security arrangements.
