Contract - 6 Months Fixed Term Contract

Location - Hybrid/London

We have an exciting opportunity for a 6-month fixed term maternity cover contract for a Senior Special Events and Projects Manager, who will be responsible for delivering a strategic Special Events programme across Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB).

Working in partnership with key stakeholders you'll shape and advance RNIB's strategy while also enhancing engagement and relevance of RNIB to critical audiences, including volunteers, donors, and supporters. With extensive experience in event and team management, you will lead a small team in the planning, execution, and management of RNIB's flagship events such as National Conferences, Award Ceremonies, and High-Profile fundraising events. You may also be involved in the execution of Brand and Marketing initiatives that provide extensive reach of RNIB's messages of accessibility and inclusion, helping us work towards our strategic priority of 'changing public perceptions and behaviours'.

What you'll need to succeed in this role

You'll have experience in developing and organising national complex events/projects aligned to achieving organisational strategic objectives.

You'll have previous experience of planning, delivering, managing budgeting and evaluating events.

You'll have a proven track record of being an inspirational and resilient leader, great communicator and team player, particularly during times of change, engendering trust and confidence to minimise instability and deliver success.

This role can be worked on a hybrid basis with the requirement to attend our London based office up to twice per week, particularly when events are scheduled.
