We have an exciting opening for someone to join our senior leadership team leading our campaigning work. We need a strategic expert who understands politics, campaigning and how to get the best out of campaigning organisations. The Campaigns Director must maintain a comprehensive understanding of the organisation's financial position, proactively managing budgets and implementing necessary adjustments to ensure organisational health and sustainability.
The Campaigns Director leads the Campaigns department, crafting our plans and supporting the team to execute powerful, people-powered campaigns that shape the country to be fair, respectful and sustainable. They oversee campaign strategy development, as well as teams that execute our plans, run our social media campaigns, and our public/media affairs work, all while ensuring alignment with organisational goals and political positioning.
The Campaigns Director must maintain a comprehensive understanding of the organisation's financial position, proactively managing budgets and implementing necessary adjustments to ensure organisational health and sustainability. They play a critical role in steering the organisation's narrative, tracking campaign progress, and working collaboratively with the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to align campaign objectives and work in progress with other organisational insights and initiatives.

We're seeking someone who can effectively distinguish between observation, facts, and information gained from others to confidently assess risk promptly and sensitively.
Strong communication is key in this role. We're looking for someone with excellent report-writing and recording skills, capable of articulating findings clearly and concisely. Experience in providing safeguarding support to staff and volunteers working with both adults and children, along with their families and carers, is essential.

PURPOSE OF THE POST
The Assistant Director for POPS core business is pivotal to ensuring the efficient, effective and legally compliant management of POPS’ head office functions and organisational infrastructure. GENERAL

As part of this work, our People and Operations Team engages a wide range of people in the Trust’s vision for Gloucestershire, and our Executive Assistant is integral to this.
We are looking for an Executive Assistant to deliver high level professional administrative support to the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer. The Executive Assistant will take responsibility and ownership of office organisation and project delivery, and to provide Trust-wide support for human resources processes and governance processes for the Board of Trustees.

Summary of key duties:
Executive Assistance:
· Schedule, organise and minute meetings as required for Leadership Team members, ensuring all necessary arrangements are considered.
· Manage diaries and incoming communication for the CEO and COO as required.
· Manage and undertake projects, assignments and other administrative duties as required.
· Provide line management to the Operations Administrator, enacting the Trust’s management processes to ensure that all employees are motivated, supported and enabled to give of their best.
Governance Assistance:
· Support with the preparation of meeting papers ensuring they are issued in a timely manner and loaded on the Governance Portal.
· Accurate minute-taking and record-keeping for all governance meetings. To include maintaining the following registers: (i) Trustees; (ii) attendance at meetings, (iii) decisions taken out of meetings (iv) signed minutes.
· Support Trustee recruitment processes through the creation of application packs, scheduling recruitment process, managing applications and interviews, scheduling induction activities and creating digital and hard copy induction packs.
Human Resources Administration:
· Support the development and delivery of effective HR processes for the Trust, in conjunction with the COO.
· Support recruitment of both employees and Trustees through placement of adverts and issuing of relevant communications during the recruitment process in a timely manner, and liaising with the recruiting manager to ensure the process is planned and delivered in a supportive and accessible manner.
· Oversee and manage the administration of the IRIS HR system.
· Ensure reports relating to people management are available and issued to People Managers on a regular basis.
Use of Overton House:
· Establish, and keep under review, the policy and process for the booking of spaces at Overton House to external users.
· Oversee bookings by partner organisations, ensuring all appropriate agreements and guidance are in place for external users and that bookings and visitors are well managed.
· Liaise with the Marketing & Communications Team to ensure that appropriate communications about available space and booking processes are in place.
· Oversee the receiving of external visitors to Overton House, ensuring a welcoming and accessible environment for all.
Essential Knowledge and Experience:
· Proven experience of working as a Personal Assistant/Executive Assistant at a senior level
· Experience of providing administrative support and project coordination for a range of parallel projects
· Experience of accurate minute-taking for both formal and informal meetings
Desirable Knowledge and Experience:
· Line management experience to foster a productive and supportive team environment
· Knowledge of human resources policies and procedures

About the role

About Care4Calais and the Legal Access Department
Care4Calais is a volunteer-based charity providing essential aid and support for refugees in France and the UK.
In northern France we operate year-round from Calais, working alongside communities in Calais and Dunkirk to provide warm clothing, bedding and service provision to displaced people who live in appalling and dangerous conditions.
Across the UK we collect and distribute clothes, shoes, mobile phones and other essential items, as well as providing social support and interaction, including language lessons, sport and music workshops. We also help with vital access to medical and educational services.
Our Legal Access Department is an access to justice project that exists to support people seeking asylum in the UK by facilitating access to legal representation and offering holistic support to people throughout the asylum process. The department, made up mostly of specially trained volunteers, works tirelessly to ensure that people feel informed, empowered, and far less isolated and alone. We conduct one-to-one, complex casework for people seeking asylum for a variety of matters, over the years we have supported thousands of people to secure legal representation. Our current casework channels include securing legal representation and support for people’s asylum claims, challenges to unsuitable accommodation and potential removal from the UK (for example under the previous Rwanda policy), and support of young people in their age dispute matters. Our teams work remotely across the UK. The Department seeks to adapt and amend our services based on the needs of the communities that we work with.
About the role
The aim of the role is to support and inspire volunteer casework teams to undertake the individual one-to-one casework and support that lies at the heart of what the Legal Access Department does, furthering access to justice for people seeking asylum and refugees. The successful candidate will lead our Asylum Team of volunteer caseworkers to support individuals in their asylum claim, assisting with legal referrals and onward signposting where appropriate. They will work collaboratively with other Volunteer Team Leads and the Head of Department to respond with agility to a fast-moving policy environment.
Responsibilities
Volunteer Team Lead / Coordinator

Lead existing team(s) of volunteers to undertake their specified casework roles as agreed with the Head of Department.

Conduct quarterly 1:1s with volunteers to receive feedback, reaffirm commitments, and ensure volunteer wellbeing. Escalate any issues and/or concerns to the Head of Department where necessary.

Due to growth in our public policy research, we are recruiting to a new senior leadership role to support our Director of Public Policy and Research to co-lead our multi-million pound programme of research across employment policy collaboratively ensuring it is delivered effectively and to clients’ satisfaction. The National Influencing Manager is an important role in our mission to make dementia the priority it needs to be. This is way more than a typical public affairs job. In fact, it’s not a typical public affairs job at all. We do things differently here. We don’t carp from the side-lines and moan about how bad everything is. Instead, we develop overwhelming, evidence and policy-based cases for change which we deploy based on our deep understanding of a complex, constantly adapting system.
Dementia is a whole system challenge so it demands a whole system approach. That means our National Influencing Manager needs to determine key decisionmakers capable of shaping national policy and then engaging them directly with an overwhelming case for change. Understanding the system is paramount, as is deploying evidence and policy in the most impactful way. We work across England, Northern Ireland and Wales, but this role is predominantly focused on England. It will require close working with National Influencing Managers in the other nations as well as with colleagues in Local Systems Influencing, Policy and Evidence. Integration and teamwork is everything in this role – with colleagues internally and with the system externally.
You’ll lead a team of three National Influencing Officers, and be part of an even larger Evidence, Policy & Influencing (EP&I) function which is laser-focused on ending the devastation of dementia through changing policy. As an integral part of the part of EP&I Management Team, you will share responsibility for management of the sub-directorate.

- Develop and oversee the execution of a high quality, innovative and successful political engagement strategy, in line with agreed organisational priorities.

The Role
Our influencing work is changing the UK conversation about domestic abuse, with both national
and locally based elected representatives and the officials and colleagues who work alongside them.
As our Policy and Public Affairs Manager, you’ll lead impactful policy initiatives that align with our mission to end domestic abuse and to ensure support for the whole family, preventing harm, reducing risk and supporting recovery. Working closely with our Head of Public Affairs and Policy, you’ll develop strategies which will amplify our voice and the voice of survivors, and deepen our policy engagement, particularly in relation to multi-agency work, health and family justice.
You will be joining the organisation at a pivotal moment as the new Government makes an explicit commitment to halve VAWG in ten years, including planning a new strategy and a number of new Bills to support this mission This provides an unmissable policy development and influencing opportunity to ensure that SafeLives’ priorities for improving the response to domestic abuse are taken forward by Government.
This is an ideal role for a dynamic and experienced policy manager with a commitment to social change and the prevention of domestic abuse.
You will be based in our London office and/or remote working, with regular meetings in London and occasional travel to other locations around the UK, including our Bristol office.

We are recruiting a Women’s Legal Advisor. This interesting and diverse role sits both within ASAP’s legal and policy teams and involves provision of legal advice, representation at the asylum support tribunal, delivery of training and influencing work with the Home Office.
Key information:
- Permanent contract, following a six months’ probation
- Full-time post (but we will consider requests for working 28 hours a week)
- Hybrid working, so based 2 days a week in our offices in East London
- Salary £41,220 p.a or pro rata equivalent (includes ILW) and other benefits

The Asylum Support Appeals Project (ASAP) is a small national charity which was set up in 2004 to reduce destitution by protecting people's legal rights to food and shelter. We have a team of 12 permanent staff members and 45 volunteer solicitors and barristers.
ASAP delivers three strands of work:
- High-quality legal representation at the Asylum Support Tribunal, for people appealing against Home Office decisions to refuse or withdraw their accommodation and financial support.
- Training, an advice line and online forum to support hundreds of frontline organisations, advice agencies and legal practitioners across the UK who are helping people apply for financial support or accommodation.
- We use our strong evidence base to improve government policies and procedures on asylum support through policy work and strategic litigation.
The Women’s Legal Advisor works across the three strands of ASAP’s work to promote and protect the rights of women within the asylum support system. It is a varied and interesting role spanning legal representation at the Asylum Support Tribunal (AST), the provision of advice on ASAP’s Advice Line, the delivery of training, and influencing work with the Home Office. The post is currently focused on access to support for those experiencing domestic abuse however, the future focus of this project will be one of the first priorities for the new post holder, after induction.
A strong interest and commitment to upholding the rights of women is essential, as is an understanding of the barriers and difficulties that women seeking asylum face. You will work closely and collaboratively with colleagues internally, providing advice and support on issues impacting women in the asylum system. You will work with partner organisations externally, pursuing asylum support policy improvements for women and supporting advice workers to assist women to access housing and financial support. The role is part of ASAP’s policy team as well as our legal team (staff members providing legal representation at the AST and via our advice line). The Head of Legal provides legal supervision to the role, and assistance with legal accuracy of training materials.
