Job description

As the Management Accountant, you will play a critical role in shaping the financial landscape of our organisation. Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, you will oversee the production of and deliver the monthly Management Accounts pack, providing valuable insights into organizational performance. You will lead on ensuring compliance in our financial practices by managing annual financial audits.

This role will require you to collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve the financial health and effectiveness of the charity. This is an opportunity to be part of a friendly, integrative team with a passion for changing children’s lives.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate, insightful and timely monthly management accounts.
  • Analysing data and providing insights to support strategic decisions.
  • Support Budgeting and forecasting
  • Effective collaboration with internal stakeholders including CFO, Finance Business Partners and Business Units

Skills required:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with some post-qualification experience.
  • Previous experience in a management accounting role, preferably within the charitable sector.
  • Familiarity with SORP (Statement of Recommended Practice) for charities.
  • Proficient in financial packages (Ideally Sage Intacct) and MS Excel.
  • Great collaboration skills with stakeholders
