Management Accountant

We are looking for an experienced management accountant who has ideally worked in the not for profit sector with strong IT skills.  A good understanding of pensions and VAT is as must, as well as some experience of payroll.  We need someone who can co-ordinate month end and is flexible to support the Head of Finance and the rest of the team

We are looking for an experienced management accountant who has ideally worked in the not for profit sector with strong IT skills.  A good understanding of pensions and VAT is as must, as well as some experience of payroll.  We need someone who can co-ordinate month end and is flexible to support the Head of Finance and the rest of the team

Job purpose:  You will be responsible for ensuring month end deadlines are met, processing the payroll journal and lead on the reconciliation of key balance sheet accounts and bank accounts. You will be responsible for the preparation and submitting of monthly pension returns and quarterly VAT returns. You will lead on the preparation of monthly management accounts, provide cover and deputise for the Head of Finance. Play an active role in the changeover to a new finance system. You will be based at Princes Road but may occasionally need to travel to other locations across East Surrey

Hours of work:  35 hours per week.

Location: YMCA Sports & Community Centre, Princes Road, Redhill, RH1 6JJ

Salary: £49,000 - £51,000

Annual leave: 5 weeks per annum plus bank holidays. (Pro-rata for part time).

The holiday year runs from 1 April to 31 March each year.
