In the role as a Digital Lead, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our digital communications and presence. You will lead and manage digital projects, aligning them with Church Army’s mission and strategic goals.

Innovating and driving our digital strategy across various platforms you will be ensuring that we stay at the forefront of digital engagement enabling our fundraising efforts using the latest digital tools and methodologies.

You will be managing internal team members and external agency relationships to ensure effective delivery of digital projects aligning with Church Army’s mission and strategic objectives.

Main Responsibilities 

• Oversee the Digital Project Manager and Social Media Officer, to enable effective delivery of digital projects and social media management.
• Manage Relationships with outsourced agencies including digital analysts, paid media and web developer roles to ensure cohesive digital strategies and execution.
• Develop and implement comprehensive digital strategies that grow new Church Army audiences.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Programme Coordination and Project Delivery

• ​To work closely with the Director of Strategy and Programmes to coordinate and support the delivery of all our programmes to achieve the outputs and outcomes agreed with our funders. 
• To support with event management both online and face to face including providing technical support to participants on platforms for online training, including driving all courses hosted on Zoom, and providing excellent customer service to all engaging with our work.
• To support evaluations through providing and analysing data to use in reporting to funders and stakeholders. 
• To lead on programme administration and funder updates, including tracking key data on platforms including Arts Council Annual Survey, Julie’s Bicycle, Illuminate and Salesforce.

Key Purpose:

This role encompasses the day-to-day running of RABI’s mental health training programme. To include liaising with individuals and organisations seeking training; working with RABI’s specialist training providers; budgeting and invoicing, monitoring and evaluating the service.

In addition, the role will seek to explore possibilities for the development of the service, including working with external organisations across the sector to upskill and empower their staff.

The role involves cross departmental working, particularly with the Fundraising, Volunteering and Finance departments to ensure both the smooth running of the service, but also the development of it to ensure it reaches its full potential.

We have a highly skilled team of 30 full-time employees in Malawi implementing this work, based out of two offices in the Northern Region. Our UK office in Bristol comprises a small fundraising and operations team of seven staff (two team members are full-time, all other team members are part-time), 3-5 regular volunteers and interns, and a wider family of volunteers and supporters.

Temwa UK has an experienced and high functioning board of Trustees who are very engaged. The board member who oversees the fundraising portfolio is very active, providing support to the Fundraising & Development Manager and the fundraising team as a whole.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

1. Managing the fundraising strategy and donor relations with oversight of the fundraising office

• Develop, implement, monitor, and evaluate the charity’s income generation strategy, ensuring targets are achieved.
• Align the fundraising strategy with the communications and marketing strategy.
• Act as the organizational expert on income generation, leading the team to expand all relevant fundraising streams.
• Maintain and enhance current income streams, including trust fundraising, corporate fundraising, high value donors, and individual giving.

About us at the NCT

A lot of people know NCT for our antenatal classes, and we want to continue to support as many parents and families as we can to access evidence-based information. But we are also much more than this. We are a charity that campaigns on the issues that matter to parents. We run breastfeeding and infant feeding support, provided by specialist counsellors. We run thousands of free community activities and events across the UK, led by our fantastic volunteers and peers. And we support women and families facing specific challenges, such as social isolation, feeding difficulties or poor mental health.

Our Hounslow Infant Feeding Support project is commissioned by Hackney Council and the Integrated Care Board, to offer infant feeding support across the region. The support is delivered by staff, NCT Breastfeeding Counsellors and volunteer peer supporters.

About the Role

You will be responsible for coordination and recruitment of volunteers to support at our services. Peers will all receive accredited training to provide support to other parents whether that’s sharing their breastfeeding and infant feeding knowledge, welcoming parents or providing social interaction to those they support. Our services within Hounslow include four NCT Baby Cafes, other Infant Feeding community peer support drop-ins and our home visiting service across Hounslow.  

· Engage with underrepresented communities through outreach and networking with other local organisations, scoping of new groups within region.

· Attend community groups and working with volunteer peer supporters, supporting them to carry out their role, and providing coordination, direction and encouragement

· Following home visiting criteria to support parents unable to access group drop-ins

· Responding to referrals, signposting and partnership working with health professionals into the service. Providing updates whilst building relationships with key stakeholders. 

· Ensure that data collection and feedback is collected in a timely manner adhering to NCT data protection policies and processes.   

· Use a variety of platforms and media to promote the service and recruit volunteers

· Maintain the Infant Feeding Website ensuring all information is accurate and up to date.

You must have good communication skills and be able to build relationships and create a rapport with a wide range of people easily. This project covers multiple locations and demographics so you must be able to confidently prioritise your own work, be organised and able to work independently.

Being able to make decisions and respond appropriately to our staff, peer supporters and parents and other external stakeholders is essential, alongside good IT skills– including Outlook, Word and Excel – and you must have good attention to detail.
 
It is essential for this post that you undertake the training to become an NCT Breastfeeding Peer Supporter. This requires the candidate to have given breastmilk. The training can be undertaken within your working hours. The role is 21 hours per week, which will be covered across the working week between Monday to Friday. The working hours range between 9-3. The role will include occasional evening and weekends. This is a community-based role in Hounslow, with some home working.
