About The Felix Project

The Felix Project is London's biggest food redistribution charity and the largest end-to-end food redistribution charity in Europe.

Our vision is a London where no one goes hungry and good food is never wasted.

We rescue surplus food from businesses, supermarkets, restaurants and farms. This food is nutritious, in-date, and safe and includes a high proportion of fresh vegetables, fruit, meat and fish. If we did not rescue this food, it would be at risk of going to waste. Instead, we deliver it free of charge to London charities, schools, food banks, COVID food hubs and other organisations serving people in need. Our food is a vital lifeline for children and families, people on low incomes, people who have lost their jobs, the homeless, refugees, domestic abuse survivors, the elderly and keyworkers.

We were founded in 2016 in memory of Felix Byam Shaw, by his father, entrepreneur Justin Byam Shaw.

Purpose of the Job

The main purpose of the role is to identify and secure new surplus food supply and develop long-term supply partnerships while growing the relationships we hold with existing suppliers. You will play a big part in ensuring that the charity is successful in achieving its objective to rescue and secure a growing supply of surplus food that will take us to our ambitious future meal targets.

The Research Officer will join our Applied Research and Evaluation division to contribute to work and projects of the Child Outcomes Research Consortium (CORC). CORC brings together organisations and individuals committed to using and improving evidence to improve children and young people’s mental health and wellbeing. The post-holder will be skilled in the R programming language in order to validate, clean, analyse and visualise data for reports. They will be involved in interviewing research participants, so the ability to build and maintain relationships with project participants is key. Experience of research design, ethics approval and data collection is essential.

The successful candidate will join a friendly, cross-disciplinary team in which staff are continually developing their quantitative and qualitative research skills. They will liaise directly with practitioners and partner organisations to discuss data, analysis and findings. They will also have the opportunity to contribute to reports and academic publications. As Trusts Manager you'll manage and drive forward activity to secure significant, multi-year donations from trusts, foundations and statutory funders to support a wide range of organisational priority projects and services. Some key responsibilities for the Trusts Manager role include:

• Working collaboratively to implement activities to deliver an annual team target of a seven-figure sum, with a focus on securing donations of six figure donations and upwards from charitable trusts, foundations and statutory funders.
• Line managing staff utilising Action for Children policies and procedures to drive performance, including setting and monitoring individual and team objectives and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), taking ultimate responsibility for the delivery of income targets.
• Initiating and developing complex, multi-year partnerships between trusts and foundations and Action for Children to deliver challenging income targets, regularly preparing briefings for members of the senior leadership team.
• Developing and implementing individual solicitation and stewardship plans for a portfolio of existing trusts and new prospects, to include charitable foundations, in the UK and internationally, through the development and implementation of a communication and stewardship programme.
• Collaborating with fundraising colleagues to track and report on prospect management activities, remaining supporter-focused and maximizing opportunities to enrich and develop supporter journeys.
• Identifying and securing a range of budget relieving Gift in Kind and Pro Bono opportunities ensuring that brand exposure from such activities is commensurate to the value of the gift.

• Relevant experience of trust fundraising with an excellent track record of initiating new relationships and securing five and six figure gifts.
• Experience of managing relationships to introduce Trusts and Foundations at the highest levels.
• Experience of leading, inspiring and line managing fundraisers to achieve against specific financial goals.

The Role

About the role

The role will support the Communications and Content team to deliver a wide range of projects, working closely with colleagues across the organisation. You will be responsible for managing and organising our libraries of videos and images, and creating improvements in our systems, to be easily accessible to colleagues. Communications & Engagement Manager (Dotdigital Expertise) - CSSC 

We are seeking a dynamic Communications & Engagement Manager to join our team and play a key role in developing and executing strategic communication plans that reach and engage our membership base. You will be responsible for fostering brand awareness, member loyalty, and increased participation in CSSC activities. 

Responsibilities: 

• Develop and implement a comprehensive communication strategy across various channels, including email, social media, website content, and internal communications, specifically tailored to a membership organisation like the CSSC. 

• Manage and execute email marketing campaigns using Dotdigital, including design, copywriting, A/B testing, and reporting. 

• Leverage marketing automation tools within Dotdigital to streamline campaign workflows and trigger personalised messages based on member behaviour and activity participation. 

• Analyse campaign performance metrics (open rates, click-through rates, conversion rates) and make data-driven recommendations for optimisation, focusing on RFM (Recency, Frequency, Monetary Value) segmentation for targeted campaigns specific to member types or interests. 

• Segment member lists based on demographics, participation history, website behaviour, and membership category to deliver highly personalised messages that encourage engagement with CSSC activities. 

• Collaborate with design and marketing teams to create high-quality, engaging communication materials that resonate with a sports and leisure audience. 

• Manage and maintain our customer relationship management (CRM) platform, ensuring data accuracy and segmentation for personalisation efforts tailored to member profiles. 

• Lead and manage a team responsible for social media strategy and community management across various platforms. This includes content creation, scheduling, posting, and monitoring engagement metrics. 

• Develop and nurture relationships with key stakeholders across the CSSC. 

• Stay up-to-date on the latest communication trends and best practices in email marketing automation and personalisation, particularly within the membership organisation and sports participation landscape.

Qualifications:

We are currently seeking a Grants and Trusts Fundraiser as part of the recently agreed investment in fundraising to help us to deliver our strategic and operational ambitions in line with our three-year plan.

The Trusts & Grants Fundraiser reports into the Head of Fundraising, Marketing & Communications and is responsible for developing our trust fundraising capability, investigating, researching and making approaches for new funding. You will use your excellent communication skills to develop our case for support and to complete impactful and professional applications.

To be successful in this role you will have experience of raising income from trusts, foundations and major grants (ideally within a hospice or healthcare context) together with excellent research, analytical, communication and relationship development skills. You will also be comfortable with working in a small team and with taking initiative and responsibility.

During the first 6 months, the successful candidate will be expected to establish themselves in the new role and develop our trust fundraising strategy with some early income generation. Post this establishment period an annual fundraising target will be proposed and agreed in line with our three-year income generation plan.

We are looking for someone with great interpersonal and negotiation skills with a positive, creative and proactive approach. As well as excellent IT skills, you will need to be self-motivated and comfortable working to financial targets.

About the role

Alongside the Service Manager, you are responsible and accountable for monitoring, maintaining and providing the highest standards of clinical and personal support and service delivery, while promoting independence and choice to the people supported in the service. You will support the Service Manager to manage and ensure the delivery of the service’s key quality and safety priorities by holding delegated responsibility in key areas of the day-to-day running of the supported living activity/service. You will also have delegated responsibility for the direct supervision and line management of a team of Support Workers. As a senior member of the team, you will promote and lead good practice at all times, doing all you can to make sure that the people we support and their colleagues come to no harm and that the people we support are satisfied with the level of support they receive by acting as an
exemplary role model.

As a Deputy Service Manager, flexibility is important for both you and for the service. You will be required to do on-call shifts during out of office hours. You will be expected to work 20% of your total weekly hours on shift across your assigned services and will be able to role model all aspects of a support worker role duties and responsibilities. Following your time on shift, and in general practice at all other times, you will have responsibility for reporting back to the Service Manager and for maintaining a continual dialogue loop of feedback that focuses on quality, and continuous improvement and learning and ensuring the smooth operation of the allocated group of services.

A full UK driving licence, with access to your own vehicle, is preferred but not essential for the role.

About you

-You will have significant, recent experience at a front-line management level in field of learning disabilities in regulated services which may have included being a Registered Manager
-You will have knowledge of legislation and guidance relating to adults with learning disabilities, CQC regulations and Health and Safety issues.
-You need good IT skills and experience of maintaining records to be a success in this role. ???????
-You need to hold a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care or hold a level 3 diploma and be willing to undertake this level 5 apprenticeship qualification within an agreed reasonable timescale of 18 months as part of a development plan
-You will have the ability to lead and manage people and be a role model in all aspects of people leadership especially performance

Versus Arthritis tackles this holistically - they have services caring and providing advice for those living with arthritis and their carers, they campaign to ensure arthritis stays on the public agenda, and they research for a cure.

The corporate partnerships team is in a new phase of strategy. The incoming Corporate Fundraising Manager will focus primarily on new business in the first instance, building up new and exciting cases for support from their wealth of programmes, projects and services, and taking these to market. Over time, the role will shift more towards a 50-50 split between account management and new business.

The position will:

• Create a detailed prospect pipeline and development plans for all corporate and commercial relationships
• Provide new business expertise to drive the aims and objectives of Versus Arthritis
• Take responsibility for growing a portfolio of corporate partnerships - be they one-off gifts, multi-year grants or partnerships that deliver strategic impact
• Work cross-organisationally to ensure other teams are aware and bought into the work of the corporate partnership team
• Build and retain a network of contacts across the spectrum of corporate partnerships and the commercial world, which ensures you remain abreast of developments, ready to adopt new practices and are primed to capitalise on new opportunities

I am excited to be working with an amazing support charity in search of an Interim Finance Manager. This is a part-time, London based, hybrid role until the end of October 2024. As Finance Manager you will be responsible for ensuring that our charity remains financially compliant and adheres to excellent reporting standards, promoting a culture of good financial management.
