About us
Who we are
We're changing lives across Teesside by supporting people and families who've been affected by a terminal illness.
Our culture and values
The people that we care for are at the heart of everything we do.
Our holistic approach to care means we treat every person as an individual, and our care extends to relatives and friends, both during their loved one's illness, and through bereavement.
We will always discuss our care plans and suggested treatments with our patients and before any member of staff examines of treats a patient, they seek permission or consent.
Our specialist care is led by our Consultant in Palliative Medicine supported by doctors, nurses, occupational therapists, dieticians, social workers, physiotherapists, complementary therapists, chaplains and counsellors.
All of our services are free of charge to our patients, their families and carers.
Each year it costs £3.2 million to support over 3000 people across Teesside. With NHS funding covering around a third of this, the rest of our work is funded by individuals, organisations, businesses and foundations who support us. We need to raise £5,600 each and every day to keep our services running.
We couldn't do it without our local community. Thank you.
