Role: Volunteer Treasurer and Financial Controller
Location: London.
Commitment: Evening based, including regular board meetings and occasional events.
Urban Youth is a brand new start-up youth work organisation being set up and is committed to empowering young people through engaging and impactful youth work projects. We believe in creating opportunities for personal growth, community involvement, and positive change.
Responsibilities:

Act as a Trustee and an active member of the Board of Trustees.

Oversee the financial management of Urban Youth.

Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

Develop and monitor budgets and financial plans.

Advise the board on financial strategy and risk management.

Ensure compliance with financial regulations and best practices.

Support fundraising and resource development efforts.
Requirements:

Experience in finance, accounting, or a related field.

Strong commitment to Urban Youth's mission and values.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Previous experience as a treasurer or in financial management is a plus, but not required.
