We're setting up a new youth work charity in the London area, and we have some exciting opportunities available to launch in the new year. We need a proactive, highly organised, and passionate person to join us as a Trustee. In this role, you will help guide the strategic direction and governance of our charity, ensuring we achieve our mission and objectives.
We're Urban Youth, a start-up dynamic grassroots youth work organisation based in London. We are dedicated to transforming the lives of young people through engaging and empowering community initiatives. As we await our charity registration, we are driven by the passion and commitment of our volunteers who believe in the potential of every young person.
At Urban Youth, we aim to divert young people away from risky behaviours and crime by providing them with meaningful opportunities and experiences. We understand the significant challenges facing the youth of London today, but we also know that with the right support, they can thrive. Our mission is to create a safe and positive environment where young individuals can explore their interests, develop new skills, and build lasting friendships.
We have some amazing opportunities coming our way, and we need to take full advantage of these to create fantastic opportunities for young people in 2025 and beyond.
As a Trustee, you would have a range of responsibilities to ensure the effective governance and strategic direction of Urban Youth. Here are some key duties:
-
Strategic Planning: Contributing to the development and implementation of our strategic plan to achieve our mission and goals.
-
Governance: Ensuring that Urban Youth operates within its charitable objectives and complies with all legal and regulatory requirements.
-
Financial Oversight: Monitoring the financial performance of the charity and ensuring the effective use of resources.
-
Fundraising and Development: Supporting fundraising efforts and identifying new opportunities for growth and development.
-
Advocacy: Acting as an ambassador for Urban Youth, promoting our work and building relationships with key stakeholders.
-
Risk Management: Identifying and managing risks to the charity, ensuring we operate safely and effectively.
-
Policy Development: Contributing to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to support our work.
