The role

The Senior Network Fundraising Manager is a new and vital role, created to maximise income generation across FareShare’s national team and 18 Network Partners. This role is integral to driving collaboration and establishing a strategic approach to fundraising across multiple sites.

FareShare has a vibrant national fundraising department that has consistently grown the organisation’s new and existing income streams in recent years. As we have grown, so have our regional delivery partners, who are independent charities, each investing in their own fundraising to sustain larger operations. The Senior Network Fundraising Manager will join FareShare’s Fundraising Leadership Team to enhance these efforts through strategic collaboration and clearly defined ways of working to maximise opportunities across our income streams.

Central to this role is the development and co-design of a strategic plan for fundraising across FareShare and our Network Partners. This plan will ensure we are better equipped for income generation, adopting consistent ways of working and a co-ordinated approach, which avoids overlapping our respective audiences and keeps the supporter at the heart of our decision making. 

The Senior Network Fundraising Manager will facilitate and coordinate fundraising activities across multiple partners. This requires involving and inspiring key stakeholders, managing conflicts, setting clear expectations and responsibilities and driving continuous improvements to the way we work together. The role will ensure that the tools, frameworks, resources, monitoring and evaluation methods, and relationships are in place to successfully share information, champion successes and build new funding opportunities across FareShare and our Network Partners.

The role offers a fantastic and unique opportunity to develop a new strategic approach to fundraising across multiple charity partners, operating under the same brand and mission. You will have a strong track record in income generation, and experience or understanding of organisations working together in a federative structure. Cross-team collaboration is crucial to the role, and you will demonstrate strong relationship building, communication and influencing skills.

Main areas of responsibility

1. Lead the development of a Network Fundraising Strategy, incorporating co-designed ways of working and objectives across FareShare Network Partners.

2. Lead on culture change and new ways of working to ensure network partners are consulted and considered in all new fundraising activity.

3. Manage and coordinate FareShare’s monthly forum of network fundraisers and foster a culture of best practice, collective effort, collaboration and learning.

4. Identify network-wide investment projects and support the development of joint funding bids to secure significant income for FareShare and our partners.

5. Ensure national fundraising activity gives full consideration to network fundraising and its potential to be delivered locally.

6. Investigate and take learnings from how local fundraising activity could grow and be delivered nationally.

7. Stay abreast of all Network Partner fundraising activity, financial performance and longer-term business plans.

8. Act as the main point of connection for the flow of information between Network Partners and FareShare’s national fundraising team.

9. Champion the work of the network fundraising teams in cross-department and cross-organisation forums.

10.  Track progress against strategy objectives and regularly review ways of working.  

11.  Play an active role in the leadership of FareShare’s fundraising team and the delivery of our national fundraising strategy.

Trusts and Foundations Manager

 This is a new role at the DEC and developed as a key part of the DEC’s 2024-2029 strategy. The DEC has a wide range of established relationships with trusts and foundations, many of which give 6- and 7-figure sums to DEC appeals. The Trusts & Foundations Manager will be responsible for providing excellent stewardship to our portfolio of trusts and foundations. In addition, the role will also be responsible for cultivating new relationships for the DEC through thorough research, and through the prospect development cycle, to raise money for DEC appeals. In addition to appeal fundraising, the Trusts & Foundations Manager will be responsible for delivering on a new core cost fundraising strategy, in close partnership with the Head of Philanthropy & Partnerships.

Demonstrable, transferable trusts and foundations experience and knowledge, (preferably within the humanitarian & charity sector), will hold you in good stead for this exciting new role.

Key responsibilities include:

Strategic Development: Develop and manage the trusts and foundations portfolio and create compelling proposals for future appeals and core costs income. Showcase new ideas and innovative approaches for growing and developing a pipeline of new prospects. Develop engaging stewardship plans.  

Administrative Compliance: Lead and manage, robust and professional grant management, ensuring systems and processes are fit for purpose, streamlined and accessible. We are seeking a dynamic, experienced Director who will be responsible for the work of the charity within the UK. The Director will be the strategic and day to day leader of the UK organisation and will also work hands-on not only with his/her direct reports but also all teams in the office. We are seeking a leader who can take the UK charity’s fundraising to new heights; thus, this is a particularly important focus area.

The role will be directly overseeing the World Cancer Research Fund UK’s Fundraising and Health Information Departments. You will report to the CEO and work in partnership with the UK CEO and other senior executives in updating and implementing the organisation’s strategy and objectives. 

The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience of directing and leading a similar sized UK philanthropic organisation (or a fundraising team within a larger charity), including writing and implementing strategies and evaluating outcomes. You will have proven experience of delivering fundraising objectives as well as a strong track record in communications and up to date knowledge of social media and digital strategies. Substantial experience of management of teams at both strategic and tactical level including developing skills, abilities, performance management and confidence in staff is required as are high level speaking skills.

Join the National Portrait's Gallery’s Development team as Fundraising Manager, Grants. You'll work closely with the Senior Fundraising Manager to support the delivery of an ambitious and exciting fundraising programme and raise income through grant-giving bodies, including Trusts and Foundations, statutory funders, and corporate foundations.

The postholder will seek to secure critical support for budget-relieving activity taking place across the Gallery, including learning and engagement and exhibitions, as well as support for acquisitions, special projects, and capital works. They will make a significant contribution to ensuring exemplary relationships with grant-makers and their representatives, and actively cultivate prospects to increase support for the Gallery.

The Fundraising Manager, Grants will work with the Senior Fundraising Manager, Grants and Legacy Giving to develop and implement a strategy for grants fundraising and support ongoing stewardship of funder relationships.

The postholder will also support the Gallery’s ambition to grow legacy giving as part of the wider team objectives.

Key Experience, Skills and Criteria:

Essential

• Proven track record of soliciting donations from Trusts and Foundations, and statutory funders.
• Experience of engaging a wide range of stakeholders and excellent relationship management skills.
• High level of proficiency working with standard business software including MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Working knowledge of CRM databases such as Tessitura.

Desirable

• Experience of working within an arts/heritage environment.
• Experience of working on/knowledge of an acquisition campaign and/or National Lottery Heritage Fund application.

Skills

• Excellent written skills, with the capacity to produce clear and accurate documentation.
• Ability to craft compelling cases for support and to communicate effectively through face-to face meetings and written proposals

I am delighted to be working with a fantastic charity in search of an Interim Finance Manager. This is a full-time, London based hybrid role for 6-months. As Finance Manager you will have responsibility for primarily the management accounts of the Charity. The Finance Manager will work closely with the Senior Finance Manager, the Head of Foundation and the rest of the Senior Leadership team to ensure that the Charity is financially controlled and effectively and efficiently managed in all areas of operation.

The Finance Manager is ‘hands-on’ leading and managing on the Foundation targets set out within the Foundation’s five year ‘Grow & Improve’ strategy. He/she works across all of the Foundation’s operations team and the Business team to ensure that all parts of the Charity are well managed and financially controlled, building the base on which the Foundation can continue to thrive and grow.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

You will be responsible for the preparation of the monthly management accounts on a timely basis and assistance with the timely preparation of the Finance Report for the regular Trustee meetings.

Assist to ensure that the Charity complies with all financial, reporting and record keeping requirements.

Assist with compliance issues with the Charity Commission and Companies House and associated regulations.

Support the development and implementation of the ‘Grow and Improve’ strategy, in close partnership with the Senior Finance Manager, Head of Foundation and the Senior Leadership Team with an ability to challenge ideas.

A Finance expert, who can support peers and staff to develop their financial competencies, while ensuring staff feel valued and respected to excel in their roles.

You demonstrate the business acumen and relationship building skills to financially manage and control the Charity including assistance with the preparation of the annual budget and forecasts and to manage the day to day financial transactions.

You have the skills and experience to manage and maintain the necessary systems, policies and procedures to ensure effective and efficient financial management on a cost effective basis.

Support on the writing of grant applications and reporting.

About you

As our ideal candidate, you will bring extensive and demonstrable marketing experience in designing, developing, and managing integrated, multi-channel marketing plans, delivering successful commercial outcomes, particularly in new customer acquisition and fundraising/income growth.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Trust Fundraising Manager with proven experience, to maximise income for Whizz Kidz services from Trusts and Foundations through researching new funding opportunities, creating high quality applications with Service staff and stewarding existing warm funders effectively. 

The Role

As Trust Fundraising Manager you will secure new funding opportunities and work on a pool of warm and cold charitable Trusts with a focus on the £10,000 to £40,000 range.  The role involves researching and qualifying prospects, submitting high quality funding applications and stewarding existing donors effectively. It will also involve managing reporting deadlines and matching potential donors to projects needing to be fundraised for, collaborating with our Service Teams. 

You will prepare applications and reports to trusts and foundations, in line with funder deadlines, keeping in touch with donors and prospects via phone, virtually and face to face. You will match potential donors with projects, collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure a coordinated approach.

The person

You will have experience of: Securing funding from Trusts with excellent writing and presentation skills; Solid prospect research skills to identify new funding opportunities and maintain a forward pipeline of applications; Of working collaboratively with Service Teams to package and cost project areas; Stewardship of warm funders including preparing donor reports, reviewing financial reports and gathering case studies. You will also have strong time management skills with ability to manage and prioritise your workload and ideally experience of using a CRM for Trust Fundraising.
