As a Community Fundraiser, with expert relationship building skills, you’ll be responsible for engaging with current and potential new supporters within this area to generate leads to raise funds for the charity. 

We are delighted to be offering a full time role in the East & Highlands of Scotland

This position is home based and you will be required to travel across the East of Scotland and the Highlands.

What you’ll do:

• Develop and deliver ambitious local fundraising plans and budgets to maximise local support, provide exceptional stewardship and achieve financial targets in line with the community fundraising strategy. 

• Actively support, motivate and manage a portfolio of individual supporters to fundraise for Parkinson’s UK, ensuring opportunities realise their full potential and key supporters are retained.

• Lead on the development and delivery of a portfolio of fundraising activities such as local delivery of the Walk for Parkinson’s event series.

• Lead in developing all streams of local fundraising in allocated areas, including community support, local corporate activity and collaborating with central teams.

• Demonstrable experience of general fundraising principles and at least two of the following fundraising disciplines: community, events, corporate and major donors. 

• Experience of setting and effectively managing budgets to achieve agreed targets.

I am excited to be working with a fantastic community charity in search of an HR Administrator. This is an immediate start, full-time (may consider pert-time 4 days a week), London based – hybrid, temp role for around 1 – 2 months. As HR Administrator your role will be to provide a day-to-day HR admin service to employees and HR admin support to the part time HR team and have day-to-day responsibility for the HR and Recruitment Outlook mailboxes.

Main Responsibilities:

Leading on leaver admin process

Advertising jobs (on Applied and external jobsites), arranging interviews and supporting colleagues with recruitment queries.

Invoicing and Credit Card Reconciliation: processing invoices on Finance system and the monthly credit card reconciliation for HR transactions. 

Payroll - accurately updating and maintaining ADP, the HR & Payroll database. Uploading documents, running reports. Supporting HRBPs with payroll queries.

Regularly updating and auditing other HR data to ensure information is up to date (e.g., pensions data, new starter training, wellbeing data).

Employment checks: maintaining the DBS list and processing DBS checks for existing and new staff.

SharePoint: maintaining HR Self Service folder, ensuring documents are up to date.

Ensuring appraisal forms are logged and uploaded to ADP.

Probation: Managing the probation period process

Minute taking at HR/relevant meetings and sharing with colleagues.

Role Summary

The role will support the Development team to successfully raise over £3.5 million annually through fundraising, in addition to a concurrent £19.25m capital campaign. The successful candidate will efficiently manage the day to day running of The Old Vic’s individual giving scheme, reporting to the Head of Individual Giving and working with the Individual Giving Officer to implement and carry out a yearly strategic plan to retain and increase support across all levels of Membership and wider areas of giving.

Areas of responsibility

Individual Giving

• Contribute to developing a strategic plan for individual giving including Membership, small to medium sized donations across all giving channels.
• Assume responsibility for The Old Vic’s philanthropic individual giving Membership scheme, OV Together.
• Retain and increase support by delivering excellent stewardship, including delivery of benefits and events, and communication with donors.
• Generate and convert new donor prospects in order to meet and exceed agreed annual individual giving targets of c. £1.25 million to contribute to the overall Development team target.
• Line manage the Individual Giving Officer, monitoring key performance indicators and objectives to ensure that targets are met.

Administration

• Oversee lists and draft communications going out to individual supporters including season announcements, updates and invitations and segmenting mailing lists when necessary.
• Oversee ticket bookings and catering reservations for supporters and to innovate time-saving new processes for automating bookings and reservations.
• Ensure Membership collateral is regularly updated to deadlines.
• Ensure database records are updated with donations, research notes, Memberships and event attendance.
• Monitor progress against targets, ensuring fundraising costs stay within budgeted expenditure and Gift Aid restrictions.
• Devise and with input from the Events team maintain a system for accurately logging and tracking costs incurred for delivering Membership benefits in line with HMRC and Gift Aid guidelines.
• Ensure that all data complies with procedures for data integrity (e.g. Gift Aid, GDPR and PCI compliance).
• Oversee the processing of monthly and annual Direct Debits by the Individual Giving Officer.
• Support the administration of the American Associates of The Old Vic membership.

Prospecting and New Support

• Identify new routes, channels and audiences to promote other ways of giving amongst existing Old Vic contacts, our database and new prospects.
• Innovate and implement new fundraising projects, such as Tap to Donate scheme, and creating supporting documents (e.g. case for support and rebrand of membership scheme).
• Use data analysis to track Membership trends and prospecting, with support from the Individual Giving Officer, to inform strategy and cultivation efforts for upgrading and recruitment.
• Identify opportunities to further develop relationships with our existing supporters (e.g. cross-sell) and feeding this into strategic plans for Individual Giving.
• Support the Senior Development Operations Manager on the maintenance of a team-wide prospect tracking system and help monitor the solicitation process.

General

• To ensure The Old Vic’s programmes, website and social media are regularly updated with Development information and liaise with Marketing as appropriate in achieving these tasks.
• Contribute proactively to Development team activities.
• Undertake training deemed necessary by the Development Director.
• Carry out any other duties as requested by the Development Director.

Person Specification

Essential

• Demonstrable track record of successfully managing an individual giving scheme
• Meticulous attention to detail and ability to work independently and with initiative
• Confident dealing with a range of stakeholders and diverse relationship management
• Excellent, and demonstrable, administration skills including with regards to financial record keeping and fundraised income
• A friendly and professional attitude, able to demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills

This is an exciting opportunity to join an organisation providing access to the river Thames for people of all ages, including those with a special need, disability or mental health condition. The River Thames Boat Project offer therapeutic cruises and deliver fun and dynamic educational and learning activities on the river Thames.

The charity was formed in 1988 and registered in 1989 and has shown that enjoying and learning about the river on board their specially adapted and wheelchair-accessible boats, is an exceptional experience. The River Thames Boat Project are now looking for a Fundraising Manager to raise the funds to enable them to run cruises and education days on the Thames.

As Fundraising Manager, you will be responsible for growing the charitable income across all streams (grants, foundations, corporate sponsors), maximising members program, establishing a sound data base for fundraising and establishing a volunteer fundraising committee. You will develop and execute a fundraising plan and develop strong relationships with prospective and existing funders. You will research potential trust and foundation funders, write compelling bids and ensure effective reporting and stewardship. You will also be responsible marketing the charity to prospective clients through mailings, social media and other routes.

To be considered for this role, you will need:

• Proven experience in raising income for small to medium size charities from multiple sources with a specific focus on trusts and foundations
• Self - motivated and pro-active with great interpersonal skills to work with staff members, volunteers, trustees, and external funders from individual to corporate donors.
• Proven ability to research funders, write compelling bids and manage relationships with funders

Role Description

Mission of the role

Support the overall income generation of the organisation through developing three income streams: mentor programme sales, grants from trusts and foundations and corporate donations.

Structure and remuneration

Role Responsibilities 

Corporate Giving

• Identify and research potential corporate social responsibility (CSR) partners aligned with the organisation's mission.

• Support Founding Director to develop relationships with corporate partners to secure funding

• Create compelling partnership proposals, including staff volunteering opportunities, to prospective corporate partners, ensuring that volunteering opportunities within corporate partnerships are supporting the impact of our programmes

• Maintain and nurture relationships with partners, ensuring mutual benefits and long-term collaboration.

Trusts and foundations

• Identify and research grant opportunities from foundations, local councils, and other funding bodies.

• Write and submit high-quality grant applications, including all required documentation and follow-up reports.

• Maintain a grants calendar to track submission deadlines, reporting requirements, and renewal opportunities.

• Prepare reports for funders and stakeholders where appropriate

Sales from Mentoring Programme

• Identify and engage prospective clients, especially in areas identified as target sectors based on trends in mentee interest

• Create marketing materials to effectively communicate the value of the mentoring programmes.

• Manage the sales pipeline, from initial contact through to closing deals and onboarding new clients.

• Maintain and nurture relationships with clients to ensure long term relationships

Purpose of the role

ZSL’s Patron Executive will maximise fundraising revenue for ZSL through our Patron programme and will drive forward our wider mid-value donation portfolio. The postholder will be responsible for the recruitment, cultivation and engagement of our Patrons, underpinning strategic areas of delivery and generating essential income. The Patron programme is currently under review, and the postholder will support and lead on the review and will launch the new strategy and programme

About You

As our Marketing Manager (Appeals), you will lead the delivery of our annual Cash Appeal programme and identify new single giving opportunities to grow our supporter base. Your role will be to engage, inspire, and motivate both existing and new supporters, ensuring our messaging is clear, impactful, and aligned across all touchpoints. You will thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and work closely within a multi-disciplinary team to achieve ambitious income and engagement targets.

In this role, you will: 

• Lead and project manage a multi-disciplinary team to identify and engage cash-giving supporters using data-driven insights to meet our single-giving programme goals.
• Develop compelling content in collaboration with our stories and creative teams to inspire supporter engagement and increase responses.
• Plan and execute multi-channel cash appeals, including key seasonal campaigns such as Christmas, focusing on audience engagement to meet ambitious income targets.
• Manage marketing campaigns across Direct Mail, Email, Digital, and SMS, ensuring consistency and alignment across all supporter touchpoints.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key external partners, including marketing agencies, production companies, and fulfilment agencies, motivating them to deliver exceptional results.
• Monitor and analyse campaign performance, using insights and data to drive improvements and share learnings across teams.
• Ensure compliance with marketing regulations and best practices, staying updated on industry trends to optimise our fundraising activities.

 To be successful, it is important that you have:

• Experience in growing supporter income and working on fundraising appeals.
• Expertise in direct marketing, including developing campaigns, data analysis, and audience planning.
• Proven success in multi-channel marketing campaigns (Direct Mail, Email, Digital, and SMS).
• Strong project management skills, with experience delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams and external partners.
• Strong numerical and critical thinking skills, particularly in analysing data for strategic decision-making.
