About us
Who we are
One World Together C.I.C. is pioneering an innovative approach to the traditional charitable funding system. Since launching in June 2023, we’ve attracted Global Citizens from 22 countries and doubled our Solidarity Fund support to our partners. Here are two key aspects to our dual funding model, designed to prioritise affordability and radical transparency for our members.
Firstly, our membership–based model underpins the One World Together movement. Global Citizens sign up to an annual membership from as little as £5/year. This represents their support for our movement and our core income that covers operational costs. To amplify engagement with our movement, Global Citizens have the opportunity to build strong relationships within our network through our Community Space, a digital knowledge-sharing platform.
Secondly, our Global Citizens show their solidarity for our community partners by signing up for an affordable monthly donation to our Solidarity Fund from as little as £1.25/month. One World Together pools these mighty micro-donations and gives every penny to our partners to spend with complete flexibility. Communities themselves are the best placed to identify and challenge issues arising in their areas. That is why One World Together funds organisations - not projects - knowing that they are the best placed to design and implement solutions. Our partners in Kenya, the UK and Zambia are already using these funds to respond to crises, deepen their impact, and invest in new community priorities. Our 2024 Annual Report will give you a glimpse into how powerful this model is!
Our culture and values
One World Together is rooted in the following values:
1. Trust
We believe we need a fundraising system that trusts everyone involved to make the decisions that most effect change, building this new approach through a radically transparent acknowledgement of how money is moving through the system.
2. Solidarity
Solidarity recognises that we are stronger when we stand together, building with, learning from and supporting one another.
One World Together is committed to upscaling collaboration, diversity and representation through a culture of continuous learning.
3. Equity
One World Together is committed to levelling the playing field, distributing not only funding but knowledge and power to those with the most pressing needs. Embracing equity allows us to acknowledge our different starting positions to allow us to reach a common end goal.
