Job Summary
The Finance Manager will play a crucial role in managing the financial function of the Charity, ensuring the integrity and efficiency of our financial processes. The Finance Manager will also contribute directly to strategic financial planning and enhance operational efficiencies within the finance department. This position involves detailed oversight of financial transactions, compliance, and reporting, working closely with various funding bodies including local councils, NHS, and grant funders, as well as managing the financial aspects of properties owned by the charity.

Summary
- Oversee and support the Payroll Officers to undertake end-to-end payroll processing for all relevant payrolls (starters, leavers, changes, variance checking etc.) delegating and allocating tasks as required
- Process changes and ensure payroll deadlines are met
- Adhering to internal control requirements and undertake key checks in line with agreed processes and audit compliance
- Working within Service Level Agreements and supporting the production of relevant KPIs to monitor performance of the team
- You will need to be A Level or equivalent standard and significant proven ability in a similar role, with significant experience of working within a payroll environment using computerised payroll systems
- You'll also need to have a payroll qualification (CIPP National Payroll Certificate or similar) to Level 3
- A salary of £40,572 plus age-related pension contributions between 8-15% of salary. We will also match any pension contributions you make up to an additional 3% of your salary.
- 25 days annual leave (increasing to 30 days within 5 years) plus eight bank holidays and three additional days (pro-rated if working part-time).

Role Overview
As Director of Finance and Operations you will be responsible for leading and managing the Finance, Facilities and IT teams. Key duties will include:

Key responsibilities:
Strategic Financial Management
- Develop and implement the charity’s financial strategy to align it to the charity’s main strategy and support long-term goals.

Person Specification
Essential:
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CIPFA) or equivalent financial experience.
- Proven experience in financial management, ideally within a charity or non-profit organisation.
- Strong knowledge of UK charity accounting standards (SORP) and regulatory requirements as they apply to charities.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement financial strategies.
- Proficiency in financial software (e.g. Sage) and Microsoft Excel.

Role Purpose:
The Head of Finance will strengthen KICK through the strategic management of finances including day-today tasks, budgeting and reporting. The successful candidate will provide both strategic and financial guidance to ensure that KICK’s financial commitments are met excellently and accurately. The role will also involve working closely with both the senior management team as well as the board of Trustees in order to maintain and grow a solid foundation for KICK to grow.

Proven Experience
- A degree in finance, accounting or a related field.

The Human Trafficking Foundation (HTF) is looking for an experienced fundraiser to play a pivotal role in securing funding from trusts, foundations, and other philanthropic sources. This role is essential in ensuring the long-term sustainability of HTF’s vital work in responding to human trafficking and modern slavery. Key responsibilities:
Research and Identify Funding Opportunities:

Bid-Writing and Grant Applications:

MLC Partners are working with a Charitable organisation to recruit an interim Financial Controller to commence asap, for 3-4months (with potential to go permanent). Based in central London, with flexible working.
You will provide operational leadership in Finance, Financial systems and Controls to drive the use of systems to improve effectiveness and efficiency of processes. You will take charge of our Financial and Regulatory Controls, and be responsible for the integrity of the General Ledger and lead the preparation of the Financial Statements and manage the audit process.
Key Responsibilities
- Producing accurate, useful and timely financial accounts based on SORP
- Ensuring compliance with finance related statutory requirements – to include direct/indirect taxation and year-end statutory reporting
- Managing financial year-end audit and additional assurance audits.
- Ensuring finance related internal control procedures and processes for the safeguarding of all assets.
- Maintaining and leveraging the IIED’s General ledger system to maximise efficiencies in data flow.
- Designing, implementing, and managing financial reporting processes including ensuring accurate month-end processing of transactional activities related to income, expenditure and balance sheet reconciliation by team members.
- Managing the statutory reporting to Charity Commission, Companies House, and HMRC including submitting quarterly VAT returns for the charity.
- Contributing to Board sub-committees such as Finance, Audit, Risks and Assurance Committee as required. Acting as the Lead Executive for matters related to Financial Controls, Accounting and Auditing working closely with the Director of Finance.
Person Specification
- A professional accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Proven finance management experience with previous experience in the not-for-profit sector.
- Experience in the preparation of full statutory accounts and management of year end audit process.
- Up to date knowledge and application of UK accounting standards, the Charities SORP and Companies legislation.
- Proven Technology proficiency and the ability to act as client/expert user of an ERP system/General ledger system.
