The Role

About You

What we need from you:

· A passion for conservation (no prior knowledge required);

· Ability to work to targets;

· A driver's licence valid for use in the UK;

· Happy to work 3 out of 4 weekends;

· Fundraising/Sales and Customer Service experience (desirable).

A lot of people know NCT for our antenatal classes, and we want to continue to support as many parents and families as we can to access evidence-based information. But we are also much more than this. We are a charity that campaigns on the issues that matter to parents. We run breastfeeding and infant feeding support, provided by specialist counsellors. We run thousands of free community activities and events across the UK, led by our fantastic volunteers and peers. This postholder is the first contact for referrals made into a perinatal programme supporting migrant marginalised women who experience many barriers to accessing maternity care. The role requires excellent communication and the ability to be sensitive, patient and non-judgmental. Responsible for managing an empathetic, integrated and person centred experience for women referred for perinatal support.

Responsible for converting referrals into impactful support, keeping them informed by building rapport, sharing information about the project, providing resources and service details, maintaining ongoing effective communication as required, liaising with health professionals to ensure a joined up approach to service user wellbeing. Keeping referrers and project website up-to-date with service provision, documenting referral procedures and assisting with the sourcing and coordination of baby bundles for clients.

About the Role

Some of the key responsibilities of the role include:

• Making contact with women referred into the perinatal programme, using interpreters as required, sharing information about the service, answering questions and inviting them to attend scheduled groups where further support is offered.  Communicating with other team members for support as required.
• Liaising with local health professionals and referrers to maintain strong relationships and clear referral pathways, responding to referrals, keeping referrers up-to-date and ensuring they have a clear understanding of the programme and can make appropriate referrals.
• Ensure all referrals and actions are logged onto the case management software, maintaining activity on the system by regularly inputting data and updating client notes.
• Administrative tasks, including the monitoring of the project email inbox, keeping the project website up to date, managing shared spreadsheets ensuring they’re up-to-date and assisting with the sourcing and coordination of baby bundles for clients

You must have excellent communication skills and be able to build relationships and create a rapport with a wide range of people easily, providing non-judgmental, sensitive communication with clients, using patience and active listening skills. You must be able to confidently prioritise your own work, be highly organised and able to work independently.
The role is 14 hours per week which will need to be worked over a minimum of three working days, one being either a Monday or Wednesday. This is largely a community-based role, working from a project office with some home working.

About you

• Have excellent communication skills and be able to build relationships and create a rapport with a wide range of people. Providing non-judgmental, sensitive communication with clients with patience and active listening skills.

About the role:

As a Caseworker, you will play a vital role in providing high quality, end-to-end support to victims of anti-social behaviour to cope and recover. You will be responsible for establishing contact with the person to assess the impact of the anti-social behaviour and provide them with appropriate information and support. As the needs and experiences of our clients are wide-ranging, the support you will provide will range from brief interventions over the telephone to longer term 1:1 and telephone based support.

You will be working from home however regular travel will be required to work across Avon & Somerset. You may at times be asked to support cases across Dorset and Hampshire.

You will have the skills to provide effective crisis intervention, carry out risk assessments, safety planning, assessment of needs and individual support planning. You should have demonstrable experience of working in a similar setting or position. An ability to work independently and prioritise a busy workload is essential.

The opportunity

As the Project Officer, you will be supporting the smooth running and development of the Community Action Groups (CAG) network in Devon. The CAG Devon network empowers community groups to act towards a more sustainable future, focussing on the areas of waste reduction, composting, sharing, reuse and repair, community energy, biodiversity and wider sustainability. CAG Devon provides community groups with the tools and support they need to thrive such as support with insurance, guidance, and training, and opportunities for networking, collaboration and sharing skills with other groups. You will be joining CAG Devon at an exciting time, as we have expanded in the last year to offer support across the whole county and with a wider sustainability focus.

What you will be doing

Day to day project support

• Responding to enquiries from groups and other organisations.
• Co-ordinating the booking of training and events, using systems such as Ticket Tailor.
• Attending CAG events and planning meetings (including evenings and weekends where required).
• Assisting with group and event risk assessments, insurance documents and related administration.
• Creation and dissemination of guides and resources to support the projects.

Publicity and communications

• Supporting development of the CAG Devon website, ensuring it is well maintained and up to date.
• Keeping social media channels up to date, generating content and building online audiences.
• Assisting groups with effective publicity for their events, including 1-2-1 social media clinics.
• Producing a regular newsletter, encompassing news, events, funding, etc. for CAG Devon.

Administration

• Ensuring communications with CAG groups are logged within the project database.

• Liaising with groups and gathering documentation as part of the membership joining process.

The essentials

• Knowledge of the community/voluntary sector.
• Experience of maintaining and developing websites (WordPress) and social media.

The Harlequins Foundation wish to appoint an Education and Employability Mentor to oversee the development, planning and delivery of our employability provision. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the skills required to organise and deliver programmes that support participants to develop the essential skills and progress them demonstrably closer to the employment market.

The Harlequins Foundation is the charitable arm of the Club, delivering programmes in our communities that primarily support young people to develop the essential skills, enabling success on and off the pitch. Our purpose is to harness sport and the spirit of Harlequins, empowering young people to acquire the skills they need to succeed.

The Foundation has an educational pathway to provide learning opportunities from Level 1 through to degree level, however qualifications are only part of a learners development. We recognise that academic achievement alone does not equate to readiness for work, and we develop and deliver programmes that provide young people with the opportunity to hone their skills and are better equip them for meaningful employment.

As the Education and Employability Mentor, you will have oversight of a variety of different programmes, playing a vital role in the development and delivery of these. It is essential that you have exceptional knowledge of societal issues that affect the groups that you will be working with, and understanding the importance of the impact of the work that you will deliver.
The successful candidate will be confident serving in a pastoral role and as a mentor to the participants they engage with, challenging them to develop their skills while nurturing the confidence needed to demonstrate them. Experience of stakeholder management and an ability to build relationships with external delivery partners will be crucial to the role holder.

What you'll be doing:

• Deliver our current mentoring provision and look to expand into different stakeholders in our focus boroughs
• Lead the delivery of our Try Time programme, developing the Harlequins Foundation alternative provision offering
• Drive partnership opportunities to provide alternative provision within schools across Hounslow and our other focus boroughs
• Maintain and develop relationships with local schools and local authorities to refer suitable programme participants
• Lead on recruitment of programme participants from relevant referral sources and delivery partners, researching and establishing new relationships as required
• Support Education and Employability Mentor (EEM) with delivery of Employability Academy
• Support delivery of our NEET (not in Education, Employment or Training) projects and programmes
• Liaise with local employers and participants to ensure the efficient running of our programmes
• Take responsibility for the reporting and monitoring of employability programmes, ensuring accurate collection of data required to report against funding

Your skills and experience:

• Educated to degree level or demonstrable equivalent experience
• Have or willing to work towards gaining qualifications required to deliver and assess vocational qualifications
• Experience of working with children and young people, preferably in a classroom environment
• Experienced in engaging young people from a range of backgrounds, including hard to reach and disadvantaged young people
• Experience of managing essential stakeholder relationships while maintaining and developing new referral channels and programmes
• Experience using monitoring & evaluation tools, for example, Signal Stoplight, Upshot and Sport Value Bank
• RFU ERCA (or equivalent NGB coaching award)
• A commitment to safeguarding children, young people, and vulnerable adults
• Highly organised with excellent planning and coordination skills and a meticulous attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to confidently present to stakeholders in person or online
• Ability to build excellent relationships and a confidence in networking

About the role

Who are the Norfolk Community Foundation?

We are a local charity with a clear vision of strengthening communities from the bottom up to make Norfolk a vibrant and fairer place to live. The project support officer will support the brilliant work of our Wilder Landscapes team, a small but very active team within Suffolk Wildlife Trust’s conservation department. A lot of the team's work is off-reserve and project based, working with farmers, landowners, communities and projects beyond our nature reserves to protect and restore nature.  The project officer will have 3 key areas of work:

Increase external recognition of the Wilder Landscapes Team and their work:• Liaise with the team to gather news items • Create regular public facing news pieces that celebrate our successful work, for a range of audiences; • Develop new channels of communication through external collaboration with media outlets, working closely with the communications manager.

Support the delivery of excellence in training and engagement events: • Support the delivery of excellent training events in close collaboration with experts in the team. • Work with the Wilder Landscapes Manager, Senior Farm Adviser and others to develop opportunities to deliver accredited training as an income generating activity.

We are looking for a Centre Coordinator to join our team in our Newcastle Centre. In this role, you will provide a warm and welcoming reception for young people, staff, and visitors over the phone and in person, so if you are approachable, passionate, and non-judgemental, this could be your role.

You will indirectly support young people by ensuring that our Newcastle Centre operates safely and efficiently. You will be responsible for managing delivery space, facilities compliance and controlling office equipment and supplies. Having previous administrative experience is beneficial but not essential.

To be successful in this role, you must have a good understanding of the challenges young people within our target groups face, to assist them when they arrive in our Centre. In this role no two days are the same, you get to be involved with many different functions of the Trust and interact with everyone who works in the Newcastle Centre, this is why planning and organisation skills are a must.
