Main purpose and scope of the role:
Parentkind is a national charity working with more than 23,500 Parent Teacher Associations (PTAs), Parent Councils and Schools. We are the voice of parents in policy making.
We are an ambitious organisation and we are looking for an ambitious and highly motivated individual to support our work in Westminster and Whitehall. The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience of public affairs, advocacy and/or working in a policy environment.

The role will involve:
- Managing the work of the All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) for Parents to make this one of the most high profile APPGs in Parliament.

Duties and key responsibilities
Managing the work of the All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) for Parents.
- Developing a plan for the APPG to achieve our ambition of making this one of the most high profile APPGs in Parliament.
- Raising the profile of the APPG for Parents and increasing the number of MPs and peers engaged with its work.
- Organising well attended APPG meetings and events.
- Providing the secretariat to the APPG and working with the Officers to deliver the work of the Group.

Job Description
- Review The Lullaby Trust’s current Evidence Base.
The Lullaby Trust’s guidance is constantly evolving as new evidence emerges on preventing unexpected infant deaths. However, much of our guidance, such as our Back to Sleep messaging, is based on an established and agreed body of evidence. The post holder will be required to undertake a narrative systematic review of the literature to create an updated Evidence Base for each aspect of The Lullaby Trust’s guidance, referencing established research and any relevant updated evidence. Ideally, papers would need to be readily available via open access to assist The Lullaby Trust staff with supporting research enquiries. It is important to note that whilst some of our guidance is based on direct evidence, some is indirect i.e. advising against using certain products due to association with other evidence-based guidance; therefore, the post holder should have a sound understanding of SIDS and unexpected infant death research to be able to demonstrate this link concisely.

2. Create a revised Evidence Base including the production of plain language versions for each topic.
The Lullaby Trust’s current Evidence Base is an extensive document. This project aims to make the Evidence Base more accessible and easier to update. We envisage that each topic currently covered in the Evidence Base will have a fully referenced version and a plain language version to enable them to be understood and used by a variety of service users, including health professionals and parents or carers. On completion, the Evidence Base and its derivatives will remain the sole property of The Lullaby Trust, however the post holder will be credited and there is scope for the post holder to publish an academic paper based on the project.
3. Work with our designer to create final accessible PDF copies for each topic.
The post holder will need to support in the design of easily accessible PDF versions of the Evidence Base, including any relevant infographics and links to referenced research. Each document will need to align with the guidance available to service users via our website and in other published resources. It may be possible that the review provides insights into potential changes to the current guidance available and, where this is indicated, the post holder will work with our Scientific Advisory Group to provide the evidence for those discussions.
4. Develop a standard operating procedure for updating the Evidence Base in future.
As a dynamic organisation that adapts our guidance to the most up-to-date research. Our current process involves our Scientific Advisory Group assessing new research and, if appropriate, amending our guidance or adding research to an established research library. However, the format of the current Evidence Base document creates a challenge in adding new references and evidence. The revised Evidence Base documents created by this project will need to be easily edited and updated. The post holder will be required to develop a standard operating procedure for updating the documents as part of our current Scientific Advisory Group processes.

About The Role
The Hidden Wounds Service is a developing, multi-disciplinary, evidenced based psychological therapy service working with veterans, their families and loved ones. We have recently been accredited by the Royal College of Psychiatrists QNVMHS. As a high intensity therapist within the service, you would be able to develop expertise working with veterans and their families presenting with a range of common mental health problems. You will receive supervision from an accredited CBT therapist / supervisor and will work closely in a multi-disciplinary environment with other parts of the charity providing case management for welfare related issues and social and medical support to our beneficiaries.
The Hidden Wounds Service is a growing remote service consisting of PWP’s, accredited counsellors and accredited CBT therapists. In addition to clinical supervision, you will receive regular peer support and attend reflective practice forums making it a great place for a therapist to develop their clinical skills. The wellbeing of staff is an important part of Help for Heroes culture and you will work a 35-hour week and have variation and flexibility within your role. Therapists will co-deliver psychoeducational online courses in conjunction with Help for Heroes Recovery College and will work towards a City and Guilds qualification to support them in this.

World Horse Welfare is an international charity that improves the lives of horses in the UK and around the world through education, campaigning and hands-on care. The International department is responsible for implementing the charity’s strategy in developing countries and aims to improve the welfare of as many working equids as possible.
We are seeking a project manager to join our International team to manage funds, budgets and accounts and become familiar with the working of local administration and legal requirements relating to partner organisations. This is not a role that is hands-on with Equids, you will be working with people who rely on them for their livelihoods in the community-based projects that underpin the charity’s presence in lower middle-income countries.
If you are a qualified Veterinarian this would be advantageous but not essential, as the focus of this role is Veterinary and Equid Welfare; ensuring that all practices by anyone associated with the programme are of an acceptable quality in terms of welfare and accepted professional veterinary standards. Working with Veterinary specialists you will co-ordinate all veterinary perspective discussions on interventions to address equine welfare across the programme. You will stay informed on current practices, related to Welfare and Veterinary intervention in terms of other organisations and institutions (including other welfare NGOs, Governments, or institutions such as WOAH) and represent World Horse Welfare in meetings, conferences, seminars and consultations concerning equine welfare.
Although UK based you will be required to travel internationally at least four times per year. This role is suitable for remote working, however, there is an expectation for attendance at our head office in Norfolk throughout the year and this will be at your own expense for travel and accommodation.

Our mission is to drive up the role of DDN people in the arts and screen industries and the role the arts, screen and creativity in the lives of DDN people, changing the lives of DDN people for the better. We’re disabled led at all levels of the organisation – from our Board, through our Senior Leadership Team, our staff, our access leads, and our intersectional focus groups. We work across the whole of the UK to effect change, collaborating with the major broadcasters, production houses, theatres and arts organisations.
About the role
The core purpose of the role is to ensure that TripleC’s output (whether on social media, on our website, in our marketing materials etc) is attractive and accessible for DDN people with a range of access requirements.

Role Summary
The Director of International Communications will create and drive implementation of ProVeg's international communications strategy. The primary objectives are to amplify the activities and successes of the country offices and international programmes, enhance ProVeg's global visibility and reach new public audiences, and influence the public and policy narrative on healthy sustainable food systems. Responsibilities
Strategic Communication and Transformation:
- Develop and execute a new international communications strategy to enhance ProVeg’s visibility and highlight the successes of the country offices.
- Establish ProVeg as a leading voice in plant-based nutrition and sustainable food systems through targeted campaigns and media outreach.
- Design and implement processes for effectively and quickly adapting country-specific developments for international communication.
- Oversee the development of content and own and third party channel strategies to maximise engagement with diverse B2B and B2C audiences.
- Integrate AI tools and strategies responsibly and innovatively (supported by leadership and (external) experts).
Fundraising Support and Collaboration:
- Collaborate closely with the international fundraising team to ensure alignment between communications strategies and fundraising goals.
- Develop compelling narratives and campaigns that inspire donor engagement and attract funding opportunities.
- Leverage communications channels, including digital platforms, media outreach, and storytelling, to showcase ProVeg’s impact and amplify fundraising initiatives..
Reputation Management:
- Enhance ProVeg’s public image through strategic media relations, innovative visual content, and compelling storytelling.
- Develop and implement crisis communication plans, identifying opportunities and risks for brand reputation.
- Balance B2B and B2C communications priorities to maintain positive brand perception.
Leadership Responsibilities:
- Lead a multicultural and multidisciplinary team, fostering creativity, innovation, impact and effectiveness.

Internal and External Collaboration:
- Work closely with country offices and international partners to create synergies and strengthen global strategies.

Qualifications
Required:
- Proven experience in strategic communication in NGOs with an international focus, including those with a presence in the global south.
- Track record of developing targeted communications strategies to drive engagement with different audiences, including B2B and B2C.
- Demonstrated ability to design and execute communications strategies that drive advocacy goals and influence policymakers.
- Excellent skills in media relations and leading complex or multi-country communication projects.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and transform teams in an international context.
- Experience in fostering creativity, innovation, and collaboration within teams.
- Experience with visual media (videos, infographics, etc.).
- Expertise in crisis communication and managing brand perception.

The Head of Philanthropy & Partnerships leads a team which inspires support and develops and sustains relationships with businesses, major donors, trusts and foundations and some statutory funders to help deliver the strategic ambitions of the charity. The Cambridge Centre for Animal Rights Law is an educational charity (not an activist group) working in the field of animal rights law.
We have a budget of some £120k pa, currently supported by a few large donors, and we want to broaden out our donor base and reduce our dependence on a handful of donors.
