• Work with the programme co-ordinator and additional administrative support to deliver the SLDP discernment process from initiation to completion at the moderation panel and the subsequent communication of outcomes and feedback. This will include serving on the panels, working with all key stakeholders associated with the discernment process and ensuring accurate information is provided and recorded across the entire process.

Job Purpose

As the Head of Fundraising, your primary responsibility is to lead the strategic direction and execution of Village Water’s fundraising efforts, with a focus on diversifying income streams and maximising revenue generation. You will oversee all fundraising activities, particularly in Trusts and Foundations (both UK and International), corporate partnerships, High Value Donors, and statutory bodies. Responsibilities

• Develop and refine a comprehensive fundraising strategy, with a specific emphasis on Trusts and Foundations & corporate fundraising, to ensure a steady pipeline of funding opportunities. Coordinate with team members to meet fundraising targets effectively and manage donation pipelines working with CEO and Finance manager to ensure the pipeline matches the cashflow.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, motivated individual, who has a flexible attitude to lead on our translation service within the Fund.

Main Role & Responsibilities

Ygam is seeking an Insight and Innovation Officer to join our Insight and Innovation team. The post holder will work with the Head of Insight and Innovation, supporting with research, knowledge translation, evaluations and insights into children and young people’s experiences of gaming and gambling harms.

Our Insight & Innovation team aids the design and delivery of Ygam’s strategy by supporting evidence-based decision making. By working across the charity to leverage and disseminate internal and external insight, the team enables intelligent decision-making and strengthens the organisation’s understanding of the world in which it operates.

Research, insight and knowledge translation:

· Support the commissioning and managing of research activities and collaborations.

· Develop longitudinal research to understand programme impact on our beneficiaries.

About Victoria Hall Harrow

The Victoria Hall Harrow charity started in 1888, with the aim of building a high quality venue for the people of Harrow to come together and to build community. For around 140 years Victoria Hall has provided space for rent to local residents and groups. It has been used for every possible purpose - parties, events, activities, conferences and much more. 

More recently the trustee board have embarked on a renewed strategy process, and we are now relaunching the charity as a partnership-first community centre, that identifies local needs and uses our assets to best meet those needs, working with a wide range of partners to serve the local diverse communities. 

In June 2024 we agreed our new Vision and Mission. We are still now working through the overall draft of our strategy, which we will be happy to share with you as soon as it is ready in 1st draft form.

Role Summary

As our first CEO, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Victoria Hall. You will be responsible for leading the organisation through this exciting transition, working closely with the Board of Trustees, staff, partners, and the wider community. The charity is in a solid financial position, which will enable us with the correct leadership in place to make real progress in our Vision and Mission. Our premises are new and extremely high quality, and very well located. There is a serious lack of high quality community space in Harrow, and we know already that there is significant demand and interest from a whole range of groups who serve the local diverse community. 

You will lead us in identifying what the most important and pressing needs are in our local community, and how best to meet those using our resources. You will create effective and impactful partnerships with local residents, community groups and charities, plus businesses and the statutory sector, to meet the needs identified. 

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement Victoria Hall's strategic vision, ensuring alignment with our mission and values, with a strong focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion.

• Operational Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the community centre, including financial management, fundraising, marketing, and facilities management.

• Partnership Development: Build strong relationships with a diverse range of local organisations, businesses, and individuals to create a network of support for Victoria Hall's programs and services.

• Community Engagement: Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment at Victoria Hall, ensuring that our programs and services meet the needs of diverse community members.

• Staff Management: Provide leadership and support to the Centre Manager and other future staff, fostering a positive, collaborative, and diverse work environment.

• Governance: Work closely with the Board of Trustees, ensuring that we are effective and develop together. Provide regular reports and updates on Victoria Hall's progress.

Person Specification

Essential

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.

• Proven experience in a senior leadership role, ideally within the charity or community sector.

• Experience of managing staff and/or volunteers. 

• Strong strategic thinking and planning skills.

• Ability to oversee our legal obligations, with regards to risk management and mitigation, charity law and more. 

• Good IT skills, able to ensure that our charity uses technology effectively. 

• Financial acumen, with experience in budget creation and management. 

• Experience in successful income generation. 

• A passion for community development and social impact.

• A commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

• The ability to inspire and motivate others.

We are recruiting for an experienced senior HR professional to take ownership of all UK HR functions within the organisation, building on the structures already in place to ensure we are a supportive and dynamic place to work.

About the role

St. Michael’s Hospice is a registered charity providing palliative and end of life care services for the people of North Hampshire.

As a charity, we depend on the kindness and support of our local community to continue offering our services free of charge. It may come as a surprise, but only 16% of our funding comes from the government. End-of-life care is an essential service, not a luxury, yet it is not funded like other care services. To keep the Hospice’s services running, we need raise an additional £15,000 every day.

The role

As our Individual Giving Lead, you will ensure that everyone that makes a donation to St. Michael’s Hospice, feels valued and that their donation has truly made a difference.

You will maximise opportunities for individual supporters across the individual giving portfolio. Identifying areas for growth and achieve new income across all income streams and enjoy building and deepening engagement with existing supporters.

This role can be office based or hybrid (a mix of home and office working). We would like someone to work a minimum of three days, however hours can be worked across the week, to suit the candidate.
