Are you looking for a unique permanent HR opportunity working in central government? This rare HR opportunity will be supporting high profile staff and members on a wide range of HR duties.

This prominent government body has over 625 members (MP’s) who are elected by the UK public, where they debate the big political issues and proposals for new laws. The organisation is situated in central London, close to a number of excellent transport links. 

This Senior HR Advisor will be part of a newly created People and Culture team where you will play a key role in providing both strategic and day to day HR support to all staff and members across the organisation. You will be part of a small but dynamic team, where the post holder will have the opportunity to undertake special HR project work.

The main responsibilities of this 12-month FTC Senior HR Advisor job paying £41,340 per annum include:

  • Advising managers on complex HR issues including employment law issues, disciplinary, grievance, performance and attendance management procedures. 
  • Providing key information around HR policies and procedures to all staff and members.
  • Leading on employee relations casework through all stages.
  • Consulting with trade union representatives involved in individual cases.
  • Working on special projects including TUPE transfers, restructures, HR system management and analysis. 
  • Designing and delivering training to managers to support them to meet their people management responsibilities. 

This brilliant opportunity will suit a CIPD qualified HR professional with experience of building strong relationships and influencing others. You will use all your experience and knowledge to deliver a first-class HR service to all employees and members. 

You will need to have up to date employment law and legislation knowledge along with being confident at advising high profile people on complex HR issues.
