 ActionAid  ActionAid UK is looking for an experienced and motivated Data Manager to join our dynamic Data team. In this vital role, you’ll provide technical expertise and leadership in managing our data, driving innovative data management solutions that support our mission to fight poverty and promote human rights. 

As our Data Manager, you’ll take the lead in maintaining and developing our data systems, ensuring they are robust, efficient, and aligned with our organisational goals. You will be at the forefront of designing data processes that enhance our capabilities in reporting, analysis, and fundraising, using  tools like SQL, Python, and FastStats. You’ll also work closely with various teams across the organisation, from IT to Fundraising, fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making and compliance with all relevant regulations. 

In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to manage and develop a talented team, driving performance standards and ensuring our data management services are top-notch. You’ll engage directly with stakeholders, providing training and support to maximise the value we derive from our data. 

Some Key Responsibilities of the post will be:

  • Oversee the management and maintenance of our data, ensuring data integrity and security. 
  • Develop and implement data management strategies and policies. 
  • Collaborate with various departments to understand their data needs and provide tailored solutions. 
  • Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and best practices. 
  • Train and support staff in data management practices and tools. 
  • In-depth knowledge of data management tools and software

ActionAid UK has a hybrid working policy for many of our roles.  The requirement will vary from team to team and the responsibilities of individual roles.  As a minimum, all colleagues are expected to attend the office 12 days per year, plus additional time for induction, training, and “Company Connection days.”  Some roles may require in-office attendance on all days and if so, these will clearly be marked as in-office roles.
