With a deep understanding of effective marketing campaigns through a variety of media and a passion for marketing and strategy, you will act as contact for journalists and media outlets, work across all teams, advising and supporting the production of new materials and content, supporting the communications aspects of all our programmes, ensuring they meet the needs of our audiences.

Corporate and Community Fundraising Manager

Do you have a strong track record of fundraising within the charity sector? We are looking for someone who can manage corporate and community fundraisers, develop events, both locally and nationally; as well as being able to write, and submit successful funding applications to trusts and other funding sources.

As our ‘Corporate and Community Fundraising Manager’ you will develop, deliver, and manage a range of corporate and community fundraising initiatives that will help the Throat Cancer Foundation (TCF) promote and deliver its services.

About Us

Founded in 2012 we are a UK charity that provide support, advice and information to patients and their loved ones who are affected by cancers of the head, mouth, neck, chest, and those throat cancers caused by the Human Papillomavirus (HPV). We also campaign for universal HPV vaccination to prevent any future devastating throat cancer cases. Raising awareness of HPV and how it causes throat cancers has been and continues to be a large part of our work.

About the role

The successful applicant will work closely with the CEO, the management team, and Trustees to implement, develop and deliver a fundraising strategy that meets the charity’s challenging income targets. This post will play a vital role in helping us to deliver our range of throat cancer support programmes to patients, families, as well as to medical professionals and the scientific research sectors. This is a unique and challenging role, which will see the successful applicant working on a variety of projects at any one time, whilst working under pressure to deliver results. It is therefore important that anyone in that role has great communication skills as well as experience of managing fundraising events on a nationwide scale.

MAIN TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Fundraising duties as required.
• Be the customer service face for all fundraisers and fundraising activities.
• Play a key role in the development and implementation of TCF’s community fundraising activities and third-party events.
• Work with the Business Development Manager and CEO to develop key messages, briefings, and positioning statements to ensure consistency and maximise the impact of our work
• Create, manage, and deliver robust project plans for allocated events delivering on set income targets.
• Review and adapt current events in the portfolio to maximise supporter engagement, retention and income growth.
• Booking and liaising with all suppliers involved with events and building and maintaining strong relationships with them.
• Working across the charity and externally, to significantly grow both volunteer numbers and activity.
• Develop the way we speak about volunteering, our brand, and associated materials, in order to attract more volunteers with the skills we need.

You have demonstratable experience as a corporate and community fundraiser with excellent knowledge of the charity sector. The role 

Following our successful pitch to be the Charity Partner for the TCS London Marathon 2025, we are seeking a Senior Event Volunteer Officer to join our fantastic London Marathon project team on a 12-month contract.

This role is key to the success of the TCS London Marathon partnership and will deliver an exciting new event day volunteer programme to successfully recruit 1,000 volunteers across a range of event day roles by creating and implementing a successful volunteer recruitment and stewardship project plan. 

You will be able to truly make a difference by enabling our volunteers to have a fantastic and rewarding experience with Pancreatic Cancer UK, and ensuring our London Marathon runners and their family and friends have an unforgettable experience. 

The role offers flexible working, with one day a week required in the London office. Condensed hours are also offered and the role can be worked across either 10 days in 9 or 5 days in 4.

About You  

• Worked in a previous volunteer engagement or event fundraising role. 

• Have an excellent track record of recruiting and stewarding volunteers for a similar size event or larger. 

• Able to communicate appropriately and effectively with volunteers who are new to the organisation as well as long-term supporters, so that they have a fantastic experience of volunteering for Pancreatic Cancer UK by responding to queries in a timely and supportive manner across a range of channels including email, phone and SMS.

It’s an exciting time for an experienced Service Manager to join us and lead on the delivery and development of our new services for both perpetrators and victims of domestic abuse across Birmingham and the Black Country.

Initially your focus will be on establishing and promoting our recently set up Choose2Change behaviour change programme and delivering the OPCC funded Pathways to Change Project for perpetrators of domestic abuse in Sandwell, working closely with other partners and ensuring that targets are met.   You will manage a small team to provide high quality, safe and effective services, supported by a Co-ordinator.  A key responsibility is ensuring safeguarding of service users is managed.  You will also develop services and funding through contracts, bids and self-funding options across our wider area.

Ideally you will have experience of service or project management within domestic abuse services, partnership working, managing teams of staff and securing new funding or business.  You will have knowledge of safeguarding legislation and experience of managing safeguarding issues. You will be solution focussed and provide positive leadership, working as part of our dedicated, friendly management.  In this developing role, you’ll also be able to think strategically and comfortable working hands on.

Flexibility in working hours to meet service needs and manage risk or safety concerns is needed and some evening hours may be required.  Based at our Birmingham office, the role will involve visiting our other locations and attending external meetings, so some travelling will be necessary. Up to 2 days a week may be worked from home depending on work requirements.  We offer ongoing development, 25 days leave, a pension scheme and staff wellbeing support.

This is a full time post (37.5 hours), but a 4 day week (30 hours) would be considered for this role.

Key accountabilities:

The Manager will:

· Be an integral member of the team delivering Superkidz day to day activities and groups.

· Following consultation with staff service users and the Board prepare a strategy, financial and operational plan that best delivers impact in line with the TGIM theory of change. This should include locations, staffing, activities, income generation and should be fully costed.

· Lead the organisation in the implementation and further development of this strategy in consultation with the Board.

· Develop and lead on an effective communications strategy, both internal and external.

· Lead on the strategy to assess and develop opportunities for collaborations, alliances, and partnerships that deliver increased impact and lead to financial sustainability.

· With the Fundraising Liaison Manager, demonstrate leadership in key strategic relationships with public bodies, funders, corporate sponsors and other external stakeholders, through a range of communications, networks and events.

· Ensure full, timely, accurate and effective communication with the Board of Trustees and any sub-committees of the Board.

· Ensure that all decisions made in the course of the role are made according to current legislation and in line with all instruments of governance.

The Role

The Events Officer plays a key role, working closely with the Member Events and Partnerships Manager, membership team and members.

We opened our Day Centre for older people, adults with disabilities and adults with dementia in October 2021. The Office Manager role is a new position that will provide a wide variety of operational support to the Day Centre Leadership Team as we are embedding and growing our Day Centre offering and increasing the number of clients who attend the Day Centre and the types of services they receive.

We also support older Wandsworth residents in the following groups with outreach in the community and with activities in the Day Centre: BAME; digitally isolated; financially isolated; LGBTQ; socially isolated; women; and those with, or at risk of, mental and/or physical ill health and disabilities.

A well established childrens health charity are looking for an enthusiastic and well organised individual to join their Special Events Team as Senior Special Events Fundraiser. As a highly creative and confident fundraiser, you will be given the scope to develop existing events as well as creating new and innovative events to increase fundraising as well as raising awareness of the charity. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Event Management: Work closely with the Head of Special Events to manage and deliver key elements of various events, ensuring they meet budget targets.
• Relationship Building: Develop and maintain excellent relationships with high-level supporters, senior volunteer committees, and external suppliers.
• Innovation: Use creativity and confidence to enhance existing events and create new, innovative fundraising events to raise awareness and increase funds.

Requirements:

• Proven experience managing successful special events from concept to post-event evaluation.
• Demonstrated success in achieving budget targets.
• Strong skills in developing event plans and materials.

The Database Manager position is an exciting new opportunity to work alongside the Head of Salesforce to develop a solid foundation working with the world’s largest integrated CRM platform, Salesforce.  Winston’s Wish is currently leveraging various Salesforce products, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and Non-Profit Success Pack. Additionally, we are investing in Marketing Cloud and AI in the upcoming year as part of our strategic shift towards a 'digital first' approach. 

We’re looking for someone with an ability to use their initiative to get things done, an enthusiasm for quality improvement with a keen eye for detail and someone with compassion and empathy for those affected by bereavement.  Whether you’re already a certified Salesforce Administrator or have lots of experience maintaining Salesforce but are yet to obtain the certification, we’d like to hear from you.

Main Responsibilities  

What you'll do: 

• You’ll be our 'go-to’ person for Salesforce end users; 
• Support the day-to-day platform administrative functions and configuration including user management, permissions, sharing rules, objects, fields, page layouts, record types, custom settings, reports & dashboards;
• Working on declarative development utilising Flows, custom objects, workflows, validation rules and security configuration; 
• Support day-to-day user queries; 
• Proactive system maintenance including keeping up with Salesforce releases, features and best practices; 
• Data management to improve Salesforce data quality, implementing rules and automation as needed; 
• Collaborate with Fundraising, Bereavement Services and Marketing & Communications to gather and analyse business requirements and translate into scalable solutions; 
• Provide ongoing user training and create training materials/technical documentation as needed; 
• Communication of any platform changes to end users and stakeholders; 
• Implement and enforce security best practices to protect sensitive data; 
• Ensure compliance with relevant data protection regulations and internal policies; 
• Account manage our outsourced Salesforce & IT partner support companies.

Person Specification

• Certified Salesforce Administrator with at least 1 years’ experience or someone with 1 years’ experience of working in Salesforce at an administrator level (but would like to achieve the Salesforce Administrator Certification); 
• Confident using DataLoader to manage imports and exports of data; 
• Demonstrated experience implementing Salesforce configuration changes including (but not limited to): Flow, fields, page layouts, record types, custom settings, dashboards and reports; 
• Excellent relationship-building and communication skills and ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels; 
• A proactive attitude to implementing best practice solutions; 
• Demonstrates enthusiasm towards continued personal/professional development; 
• Hands-on experience with either Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Sales Cloud, NPSP and/or FormAssembly, don’t worry if you haven’t got experience of all of them; 
• Excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, effectively and appropriately with colleagues at all levels. 

Additional information, if you are yet to obtain the Salesforce Administrator Certification 

• During the first 6 months, time will be allocated to self-learning/self-development via Salesforce’s Trailhead learning platform and other resources;
• After 6-12 months, Winston’s Wish will support you through the Salesforce Administrator Certification Examination.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join SSAFA’s ambitious and dynamic Corporate Partnerships team. We are looking for an experienced and highly proactive Corporate Account Manager to manage our growing portfolio of strategic partnerships.

About the role

We are looking for someone to lead on the successful delivery of corporate partnerships. It will be your responsibility to deliver the account management elements, ensuring all commitments are delivered whilst identifying opportunities to increase the value of long-standing relationships.

Working closely with a wide range of stakeholders, you will plan and execute an annual programme of content, reporting, volunteering, fundraising activities, and events to ensure the objectives of the partnership are achieved. As well as being responsible for the timely and successful delivery of all activities, you will continually look for new ways that your partners can support SSAFA.

About you

We are seeking an experienced senior officer or manager who brings significant account management experience and is target driven, a self-starter and has a record of growing long-term partnerships. If you have excellent communication and relationship building skills along with the initiative to maximise every opportunity within a partnership, then we would love to hear from you.

We are keen to find the right person for the role, and therefore happy to discuss flexible working patterns such as compressed hours or early/late start times. We have a remote working policy, with occasional travel into the London office. You will need to regularly represent the charity at events and visit the offices of corporate partners so flexibility and the willingness to travel is essential.

The Candidate
