About the Brent Centre for Young People (BCYP)

The Brent Centre for Young People is the leading mental health charity for young people in Northwest London, helping over 700 young people a year with a wide range of issues. We offer specialised treatment in the areas of depression, suicide prevention, tackling self-harm, eating disorders, exam anxiety and more. Our approach is rooted in psychoanalytic psychotherapy. We aim to reach significantly more young people in the years ahead, drawing on our heritage that combines specialist treatment in-house and outreach into communities. The Brent Centre is also an important Research Centre on Adolescent Breakdown and Adolescent Psychotherapy.

Fundraising at BCYP

BCYP has historically been very successful in raising funds from non-statutory sources, particularly trusts and foundations, and is grateful to hold a number of established relationships with grant- makers. We work hard to ensure that we submit excellent, data-driven applications and evaluations. Until now, applications have largely been submitted by our Fundraising Manager- Trusts & Foundations, with occasional support from a freelance bid-writer. We now want to recruit a new member of the team, to help us to grow our income stream in this area and help us to steward these key relationships.

In this exciting newly created role, you will be responsible for helping to grow our income from grant- makers to design and promote funding opportunities, and to steward relationships with supporters through the giving cycle. We are looking for a fundraiser with at least three to four years of experience in identifying prospects and grant-writing, and who has experienced success in securing funds. Vitally, we want to recruit an individual who is as committed to Brent’s vision, and who will work with us to help us be there for young people in the coming years.

We are seeking an experienced candidate with a great understanding and knowledge of individual giving, who shows great leadership skills and the ability to collaborate across teams to maximise opportunities to achieve organisational growth.

The role will manage the Donor Acquisition Fundraiser and In-Memory Fundraiser and be responsible for the overall delivery of our individual giving strategy.

As the Individual Giving Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the planning and implementation of our individual giving programme of fundraising and activities, aimed at individuals. It will be the Individual Giving Manager’s responsibility to generate significant income through individual gifts, campaigns and appeals, regular giving, in memoriam giving, lottery and legacies, and to increase activity and income from these sources.

Your primary focus will be on recruiting new donors, retention through a gold standard supporter journey and income growth for these vital areas of fundraising, all while leading a dedicated team. You will be responsible for delivering innovative and creative appeals as well as supporting the fundraisers responsible for in-memory and donor acquisition to achieve their targets and objectives.

Individual Giving is a growing income stream for Birmingham Hospice, and this have been recognised by the Executive Team who are investing in this area, in particular regular giving and legacies.

Role Overview:

This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in our Fundraising and Lottery team. As the Lottery and Promotions Lead, you will be responsible for conceptualising, planning, and executing innovative Lottery and Promotions campaigns that drive engagement and sales across Lincolnshire. Your primary focus will be on increasing our income generation from Lottery and Promotions activities, adapting to the challenging economic climate.

You will work closely and collaboratively with the Head of Fundraising and Lottery to develop and implement a strategic approach to expanding our reach, reducing attrition rates, increasing income and enhancing brand awareness.

Key Responsibilities:

• Champion and promote Lottery and Promotions products within the organisation and throughout our Lincolnshire community and beyond to support the Charity’s Trust-wide Organisational and Income Generation Strategies for 2024-2029 in order to drive growth.
• Identify and seize business development opportunities to promote the Hospice Lottery across Lincolnshire.
• Increase sales of Lottery and Promotions products, including lottery memberships and raffles.
• Understand supporter motivations and tailor Lottery and Promotions activities to meet their needs.
• Manage an income target of circa £700, 000 across Lottery and Promotions products.
• You will be the primary contact for Lottery and Promotions advice, guidance, and support to ensure that activity is delivered to the highest standard, and levels of confidentiality and is compliant with Gambling and Charity legislation, including the Gambling Act 2005, GDPR, Fundraising Code of Practice and Gambling Commission

Qualifications and Experience:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Hospice Neighbours Coordinator to help us meet the social and practical support needs of our patients and their carers.

About the role:

Supporting someone at the end of their life is not just about providing medical care. Individuals and communities add an important layer of extra support allowing the normal and every day to continue. As part of the Compassionate Communities agenda, our Hospice Neighbour project brings together our patients with people from their local community who provide simple social and practical support for a few hours each week.

The Hospice Neighbour Coordinator role makes this happen! The successful candidate will be responsible for developing this important service. They’ll act as a single point of contact providing timely advice and guidance for project volunteers, facilitate bi-monthly volunteer support group sessions and build relationships with both internal and external referral partners. There is a strong demand for this wonderful project and this role is a fantastic development opportunity for the service and the successful candidate.

We’re looking for a highly organised, capable and positive volunteer project coordinator. You will understand asset-based community development and have insight and experience of the issues that affect an individual at end of life. You’ll have great interpersonal skills, be approachable, open, and able to communicate with volunteers and staff across the organisation. You’ll demonstrate excellent attention to detail and accuracy in your work, have a positive solution focused outlook, and the ability to prioritise and manage a broad workload.

Working to a new Fundraising strategy with ambitious plans for growth, the Public Fundraising Manager will help us reach the next level in our income generation.

The role will combine direct responsibility for the retention and growth of our Individual Giving income streams (regular giving, lottery, appeals) with leadership and support of our other public facing income streams (community, legacy and in memory giving).

St Barnabas House, Martlets and Chestnut Tree House are seeking a Community Engagement Assistant to join the Community Engagement team.  This newly created role will provide vital support to our Events Fundraisers and Community Fundraisers enabling them to go above and beyond for our incredible supporters who go out of their way to raise crucial funds for adult and children’s hospice care in Sussex and beyond.

This role offers flexibility in location, with hybrid working and offices in both Brighton and Worthing.  There will be some travel required between sites.  Whilst this role is advertised at 37.5 hours per week, part-time hours (minimum 4 days a week) will be considered.

War Child believes that children’s lives should not be torn apart by war. It is the only specialist charity for children affected by conflict, with four main areas of work: protecting children, educating children, supporting communities and campaigning.

It’s an exciting time to join War Child as they have just launched their new Alliance initiative, which brings together the five War Child fundraising members (in the Netherlands, UK, Germany and Sweden, plus Children in Conflict in the US), with 14 programme members, and coordinated by a new international body: the War Child Alliance Foundation. Through the Alliance they are integrating programme activities under one umbrella – allowing War Child to combine strengths and pool resources – all with the aim to multiply impact for conflict-affected children.

The Philanthropy Manager is a key member of the Philanthropy & Partner Engagement Department within War Child’s award-winning Fundraising team. Working closely with the Philanthropy Lead (line manager) and Senior Philanthropy Manager, you will manage a portfolio of major donors at 5- and 6-figure level to support a team target of c£1.4M.

As Philanthropy Manager, you will: 

• Identify and qualify a pipeline for up to 6-figure gifts for both unrestricted and restricted giving
• Lead and be supported on building an excellent stewardship programme, supporting relationship managers across the team to deliver sector leading supporter journeys
• Develop and implement strong cultivation and solicitation plans for existing donors to generate significant income from the portfolio. This will include personal meetings, attending networking events, writing proposals/reports and making presentations
• Take an active role where relevant, on the planning and delivery of a diverse portfolio of philanthropy events, including events that are hosted by Ambassadors

Ideal skills and experience: 

• Experienced in a similar fundraising role, with a knowledge of major donor fundraising, ideally within an international development or humantarian NGO
• Ability to input into fundraising strategies with a track record of securing 4-5 figure gifts and delivering against targets
• Experienced in stewardship strategies for major donors or the development of supporter journeys in order to retain donors
• A relationship focussed approach with strong networking skills at senior levels internally and externally

We’re a small but ambitious arts charity on an exciting journey. We are transforming a half-acre industrial heritage site - New River Head Clerkenwell - into the national centre for illustration and a home for Quentin Blake’s archive.

We’re seeking a brilliant person - or people - to join the team as Philanthropy Manager at an exciting time for the Centre with construction about to begin on our new home.

The Philanthropy Manager will secure gifts from Individuals, Trusts and Foundations in the range of £1,000-£50,000+, and will work closely with the Head of Development, Centre Director and Board to steward gifts at the £50,000+ level.

You will be a relationship-focused fundraiser with experience of face-to-face fundraising, excited by the opportunity to play a key part in launching a major new cultural institution. You will use your experience and key moments on the way to opening to refine, refresh and grow our established giving circles. You will also identify and develop new ways that individuals can support the Centre and our programming before we open our doors in February 2026.

You will be an inspiring and committed ambassador for the Centre and its mission, in person and in writing. You will also be a great team-player who enjoys collaborating with colleagues across the Centre to deliver a dynamic and creative programme of donor cultivation and stewardship.
