This is an exciting opportunity to support and expand the integration of Youth Voice into our organisation and work with our passionate Youth Team to ensure that Winston’s Wish is driven by the voices and experiences of bereaved children and young people.

In the past 3 years we have recruited over 100 members to our Youth Team to help us in our mission to make sure that no child or young person grieves alone. Through their voices and experience we have made huge change to the way we support others. This role is key to making sure their voices are heard.

You will support the Head of Youth Participation & Engagement in the administration, facilitation and delivery of Youth Participation & Engagement throughout Winston’s Wish to champion youth voice and involvement in all that we do.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

· To co-ordinate and provide safe spaces for Youth Ambassadors to take part in Youth-Led activities and projects.

· To be a key link between Youth Ambassadors and staff, making sure their voices and experiences are heard.

· To recruit and engage young people, and their families, to enable them to feel comfortable to join our Participation service.

· To support the Head of Youth Participation & Engagement to develop opportunities for children, young people and their families/carers to be actively involved throughout the organisation.

· Lead and facilitate small scale participation projects with the Youth Team.

· To maintain records of all interactions with stakeholders, using salesforce. 

· To be able to work flexibly, including regular evening and occasional weekend work in response to participants availability.

· Support the Head of Youth Participation & Engagement to create opportunities for the Youth Team, working alongside teams throughout the organisation to do this.

· Support the Head of Youth Participation & Engagement in planning and facilitating the Youth Forum.

· Work with young people to create meaningful content and service recommendations.

· Work across the Winston’s Wish team, sharing, promoting and training in best practice in Youth Voice.

· To assist in planning, organising and delivering participation events (virtually and in-person).  

· Ensure the safety and wellbeing of members of the Youth Team through adherence to the organisation’s safeguarding policy and practices.

· Maintain accurate records throughout all services, complying with the organisation’s recording and reporting requirements.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Essential

· Minimum 3 years experience of working with children & young people in a  health, social care, youth, community or education setting.

· Experience of advocating for the interests of young people, or a vulnerable, marginalised, or under-represented community.

· Good written and oral communication skills, with experience of tailoring these to a wide range of audiences.

· Experience of facilitating groups with young people.

· Knowledge of different facilitation approaches and methods.

· Demonstratable experience of safeguarding children, young people and vulnerable adults and an ability to practice in a way that promotes this.

· Experience of building trusting relationships with children and young people, and creating safe spaces.

· Passion for Youth Voice.

· Understanding of the challenges that participation work can present, and experience of how to overcome this.

· Ability to work collaboratively within a team and with external organisations.

 

Desirable

· Experience holding online groups for young people.

· Experience of working in bereavement sector.

You will be working with our Brand and Communications Team to craft on-brand communications across our social media platforms and website. In this role, you will support the implementation of our communications strategy and develop content on our website, all whilst following our visual identity and tone-of-voice guidelines. You will also be working with the wider NDC team to support the delivery of our online training and workshops.

Heart Research UK is a leading non-profit organisation dedicated to stopping people dying from heart diseases. The Health Promotion & Education team enhance the heart health of the UK population through innovative health improvement programs.

The Healthy Heart Coach will deliver health checks, provide tailored heart health lifestyle advice, and conduct heart health coaching sessions within community, workplace and event settings. Are you a social media fanatic, looking to make a real impact? We're excited to welcome a creative and organized Social Media Assistant to our fantastic team at the Alzheimer's Society!
 
As our new apprentice, you will be working with our team to plan and create engaging day-to-day content in various formats (text, photography, graphics, video). You will have exposure to manage the Social Media inbox and processes to assess and assign incoming tasks efficiently and also providing community management support across channels.
 
This role will also require you to support the team in identifying new and existing storytellers to feature in our social media content. You will undertake daily tasks and checks to ensure the smooth running of all our social media platforms and support in pulling data and to help produce reports. RNID Near You Co-ordinator (East Riding)

You will be joining us at an exciting time as we reopen services that unfortunately closed due to the pandemic. As a coordinator, you will focus and lead on developing and delivering our community service across the East Riding of Yorkshire through drop-ins offering:

• practical hearing aid support
• information on hearing loss and tinnitus
• hearing checks

You will be responsible for co-ordinating up to 15 drop-in services and be able to recruit, train and manage a team of up to 30 volunteers to deliver the service across East Riding of Yorkshire.

You will: 

1. Coordinate our volunteering team to deliver a high level of service at our RNID Near You drop-in sessions.
2. Recruit volunteers across the East Riding of Yorkshire to strengthen existing sessions and open new sessions as required.
3. Work with NHS audiology to induct and train our volunteers to high standards.
4. Promote our sessions to ensure maximum engagement from local hearing-aid users.
5. Ensure all paperwork is processed correctly and reports to stakeholders are timely completed.

You want to make a difference in people’s lives and love to interact with various audiences, including volunteers, health & care professionals, and service users. You have experience managing your own workload and are able to work flexibly when required. You can motivate volunteers to assist clients with hearing aids sensitively, to give clear guidance and take into account individual wishes and health needs.

You are ready to work for a home-working organisation and have good IT skills, particularly with Microsoft Office applications including Teams, Outlook, Excel, and Word. You will be able to recruit, train and manage a team of volunteers and deliver an excellent service across East Riding of Yorkshire. While home based, regular travel to venues where we provide drop-in sessions will be required.

Programme Coordinator 

We are recruiting for a Programme Coordinator, who will support the delivery of the Maternity Neonatal Voices Partnership project.

The Role

The organisation is responsible for delivery of MNVPs for both Birmingham and Solihull ICB. Travelling is required to engage and meet with service user reps, leads and relevant stakeholders.  Part time applicants will be assigned specific trust to work within (again travel will be required within the specified area).  Some level of cover will also be required across the 2 areas in cases of absence, annual leave etc. 

This is a fixed term role which will involve supervision and line management of a team of volunteers, leads and delivery of the MNVP forums and associated activities as well as supporting the administration of the contract.

Main activities within the role include: 

• Recruitment of MNVP members and volunteers

• Build strong working relationships with commissioners, partners and local parents and families

• Ensure parent and families views are fed back in a clear, understandable matter to commissioners

• Production of a range of reports including data to senior managers and commissioners

• Active use of Social Media to engage with service users and partners including managing meetings via these channels

• Coproduction of communications with Local Maternity Neonatal Systems ensuring service users views are listened to and included in actions

• Attendance at a range of meetings with stakeholders and partners

• Active engagement with other MNVP Forums across the country including through the use of social media

About You

You must have the natural ability to build effective relationships, be approachable and have an outgoing personality as well as being IT literate and a good communicator at all levels.  Experience of working with midwifery services is helpful as is knowledge of MNVP priorities and aims.
