Your Role

As the Philanthropy and Relationships Lead, you will:

Strategic Leadership

• Develop and execute a measurable plan for philanthropic growth based on key insights from our recent major donor evaluation.
• Support the Director of Fundraising, Engagement, and Voice to foster a culture of philanthropy across the organisation.
• Collaborate closely with the CEO and senior colleagues to drive donor cultivation activities, leveraging relationships to maximize engagement.

Relationship Building

• Cultivate and nurture existing donor relationships, aligning their interests with Kids’ impactful work.
• Actively network and maintain visibility within the community to attract new supporters.
• Collaborate with the Fundraising, Engagement, and Voice team to integrate efforts and demonstrate the impact of our services.

Prospecting and Outreach

• Develop and implement a structured approach to identifying new donor prospects, including mid-level and major donors.
• Work with the Events Manager to design and execute cultivation events, creating opportunities for meaningful engagement.
• Establish a mid-level giving strategy and maintain a dynamic caseload of potential donors.

Financial and Budget Management

• Set and achieve income targets, using our CRM (Donorfy) to track progress and manage the donor pipeline.
• Develop accurate financial projections and maintain a balanced approach between ambition and realism.

Tailored Communications

• Create compelling cases for support and personalized impact reports, showcasing how donations make a difference.
• Craft thoughtful, donor-centric communications that resonate with supporters’ motivations.

About You

We’re looking for a motivated relationship manager with:

• Proven success in building and sustaining high-value donor relationships, resulting in significant financial support.
• Demonstrable experience in pipeline management, including identifying prospects and generating new financial gifts.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Confidence in using CRM systems to efficiently manage relationships and forecast income.
• A strategic mindset with a proven ability to develop and deliver tailored cultivation plans.
• Genuine passion for supporting children and young people with SEND, with insight into the policy landscape affecting them.
• Experience working with senior stakeholders, including CEOs and trustees, to secure support.

What we’re looking for in our Lead Developer:

- Achieved proficiency in programming/software development or gained experience in another development skill involving system implementation and comprehensive training in programming

- Extensive .Net development experience, preferably using agile methodology

- Ability to understand complex problems and break them down into a set of user requirements

- A good understanding of information systems concepts and practice and the software development life cycle

- Experience of designing systems and communicating that design, providing direction to others to implement the design, and monitoring/following up progress against targets

Let's talk about you 

• Relevant experience of major donor fundraising with an excellent track record of initiating new relationships and securing four and ideally five figure gifts.

• The ability to manage a complex pool of prospect and donors, devising clear donor solicitation plans with the aim of securing long term financial philanthropic support.

Myeloma Patients Europe (MPE) is offering an exciting position as Communications Manager (Digital and Social Media) in a dynamic European non-profit patient advocacy organisation. This role will help deliver the MPE communications strategy, providing both strategic and operational support across the organisation, and ensuring that MPE is increasing our reach and impact to improve the lives and experiences of myeloma patients.

As Communications Manager (Digital and Social Media), you will work with the Head of Communications and other key staff across to the organisation to:

• Implement MPE communications strategy, monitor and improve MPE reach, and increase impact with key stakeholders
• Develop and disseminate strong and relevant messaging for key stakeholders     
• Monitor and evaluate our performance and reach across digital and social communications channels

This will include working on the following core activities and tasks:

Digital communications (40%)

• Writing, editing and updating content for the MPE website (i.e. using WordPress, Elementor and other content management systems)
• Developing written and graphic content for MPE programme specific websites (such as MPE Navigator and Myeloma Access Atlas)
• Collaborating with relevant MPE staff on digital content development and publication
• Designing educational and promotional materials including leaflets, reports, patient materials, campaign materials and social media adverts/cards/images
• Supporting the Head of Communications with the development and management of monthly E-newsletter content, webinars and other relevant communications activities

Social media (40%)

About you:

Essential

• Minimum of four years of relevant professional experience in communications role or equivalent
• Demonstrable experience of writing and developing communications content , social media posts, news stories and articles (this will be tested at interview)
• Experience of stakeholder engagement and increasing reach of an organisation via communications channels
•  Ability to explain and communicate complex topics to diverse and lay audiences
• Basic digital design skills
• Excellence in writing, proofreading and editing in English. The ideal candidate will be a native English speaker

This is an exciting opportunity to support and expand the integration of Youth Voice into our organisation and work with our passionate Youth Team to ensure that Winston’s Wish is driven by the voices and experiences of bereaved children and young people.

In the past 3 years we have recruited over 100 members to our Youth Team to help us in our mission to make sure that no child or young person grieves alone. Through their voices and experience we have made huge change to the way we support others. This role is key to making sure their voices are heard.

You will support the Head of Youth Participation & Engagement in the administration, facilitation and delivery of Youth Participation & Engagement throughout Winston’s Wish to champion youth voice and involvement in all that we do.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

· To co-ordinate and provide safe spaces for Youth Ambassadors to take part in Youth-Led activities and projects.

· To be a key link between Youth Ambassadors and staff, making sure their voices and experiences are heard.

· To recruit and engage young people, and their families, to enable them to feel comfortable to join our Participation service.

· To support the Head of Youth Participation & Engagement to develop opportunities for children, young people and their families/carers to be actively involved throughout the organisation.

· Lead and facilitate small scale participation projects with the Youth Team.

· To be able to work flexibly, including regular evening and occasional weekend work in response to participants availability.

Want to work with multiple award-winning charity, FoodCycle? As Regional Manager you will represent, manage and co-ordinate your allocated regional Projects. Our Projects are spaces where volunteers are empowered to run community meals using surplus food.​

You will manage local relationships with venues, community partners, supermarkets and volunteer recruitment channels to enable this to happen. As an excellent communicator, you will manage the volunteers at each Project ensuring they are trained, supported and on-message with FoodCycle strategy, ensuring that volunteers are confident enough to self-organise and make a success of their Projects.​

Barnardo's are commissioned to deliver the services in the Children and Family Centres in Warwickshire in partnership with a wide variety of agencies offering activities to children, young people and parents/carers. Rugby Children and Family Centres are recruiting for an Early Years Practitioner to deliver a range of services including 1:1 support, groups activities and courses. The postholder will be required to be flexible to work across the Rugby Borough locality, as outreach work is a significant and regular part of the EYs team's work, an ability to travel and transport resources throughout the locality  to meet the requirements of the role is essential.

You’ll join our cross-functional Product & Engineering team to build and improve the digital platforms that teachers and pupils rely on every day. You'll work closely with product managers, designers, researchers, and curriculum specialists to develop user-facing applications using technologies like TypeScript, Next.js, GraphQL, and SQL.

This is a hands-on role with plenty of scope for technical leadership and mentoring, alongside the opportunity to shape our engineering practices and culture. FUNDRAISING LEADERSHIP

• Lead the development of the fundraising strategy to grow and diversify the charity’s income, with support from the CEO.
• Evolve our fundraising function to maximise benefit to the charity; developing additional or existing income streams as set out in the fundraising strategy, with support from the CEO
• Lead the implementation of the fundraising strategy, setting annual plans, income targets and budgets
• Establish and grow an effective, high-performing fundraising function. Provide effective leadership for the team (Fundraising Manager and Fundraising Assistant). Nurture and develop colleagues to achieve their potential.
• Ensure systems and processes are in place for effective management and development of the fundraising function, including compliance with the Fundraising Regulator and our policies.
• Manage the fundraising budget, reforecasting income and expenditure throughout the year and reporting progress to the SLT and the Board of Trustees.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of fundraising activities and adapt plans where appropriate.
• Be an ambassador for Caudwell Youth and support the CEO in this role
• Involve young people in fundraising developments and activities as appropriate, championing a collaborative and participatory culture.

HIGH VALUE GIVING

• Responsible for leading the development, and managing the delivery, of our major donor and corporate fundraising strategies
• Identify and engage potential new donors
• Ensure effective stewardship is in place to develop relationships with donors
• Be the lead contact with John Caudwell’s Charity Pioneer, supporting the recruitment and engagement of Life Changer Circle members.
• Support the CEO to develop and maintain the charity’s relationship with our founder, John Caudwell.

• Support the Grants Manager to develop strategy and plans to maximise ROI from Trusts and Foundations.
• Oversee the grants pipeline, application process and procedures to ensure quality and compliance with financial and legal requirements.
• Work with Marketing team to support positive fundraising messaging through CY communications
• Work with Marketing team to support active challenge and community fundraising, ensuring that all our fundraisers are thanked and have appropriate donor journeys
• Support the Operations Director to grow income from statutory sources

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Essential skills and experience

• A minimum of 5 years' experience in fundraising, including a track record of securing high-value gifts of six figures.
• Proven track record of successfully developing and delivering fundraising strategies, including corporate partnerships, major gifts, trusts, and foundations.
• Sound leadership and team management experience, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve targets. The Fundraising Director will manage a team of two within a wider organisation of 25 staff.
• Excellent relationship-building skills with donors, corporate sponsors, grant-making bodies, and stakeholders, including grassroots and volunteer-driven fundraising efforts.
• Strong financial acumen, including experience in budget management, financial forecasting, and reporting on fundraising performance, with a focus on KPIs and success metrics.
• Ability to set and achieve clear fundraising growth targets, ensuring alignment between current income portfolios and projected expansion.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to craft compelling fundraising proposals and cases for support.
• Knowledge of fundraising regulations, data protection laws (GDPR), and ethical fundraising best practices.

• Knowledge of donor stewardship best practices, ensuring structured donor engagement journeys and retention initiatives.

Key Responsibilities: 

Fundraising:

• Conduct research on potential funding opportunities and grant applications 

• Assist with the development and implementation of fundraising campaigns
