The Badur Foundation is an independent foundation supporting grassroots charities and social enterprises. The Foundation works across four countries (UK, Hungary, Malta, Laos) and focuses on tackling poverty, inequality, and environmental challenges. In each country, our support is adapted to take account of the local context. Our projects are diverse and current projects include protecting, restoring, and regenerating nature in Malta and a project to increase access to nature for children with disabilities.
This is a newly created Finance Manager role where you will be responsible for the daily operations of the charity to ensure that all aspects of the finance function operate successfully. You will support both internal and external stakeholders with finance-related matters and will have direct exposure to working with the board.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of accurate and timely monthly management accounts
- Cash monitoring and reporting
- Prepare/assist with the preparation of financial statement and supporting schedules
- Preparation of quarterly sales invoices
- Oversight of bill payments
- Process and post-nominal ledger month-end journals
- Provide finance support to the wider team
- Provide finance support to the facilities manager in all aspects of managing the office building
- Managing the service charge account for the office building
- Running the monthly payroll including liaising with payroll providers
- Preparation of VAT returns
- Assisting with the preparation of the finance update for the quarterly board meeting
- Act as a point of contact with banks, service providers, and suppliers
- When required liaise with the external auditors, ensuring that timescales are communicated and agreed, and the auditors’ requirements are met to ensure timely completion of their work
Skill set required
- Qualified Accountant CA/ACA/ACCA/CIMA or qualified by experience
- Strong management accounting and bookkeeping experience
- Experience working in a similar role, ideally within a small company environment
- Self-starter who works proactively and independently
- Good organisational skills and ability to plan and prioritise work
- IT literate with strong Excel skills
- Experience using accounting software, QuickBooks advantageous
- Interest in or experience of working in the charity sector

We are therefore recruiting a Finance Manager to lead the implementation and delivery of best-practice financial management and planning, ensuring that ODAC is ready to continue to increase our charitable impact.
This is the first Finance Manager role in the organisation and the role will involve using your knowledge and experience to develop the way that ODAC works. In recent years, financial management has been led by the Chief Executive, with a freelance book-keeping contractor and a 0.5 days/ week Finance Administrator, and we have an experienced Finance Lead on the Board of Trustees.
The Finance Manager will lead on bookkeeping, financial management, and providing support and advice to budget holders. They will collaborate with the Director on financial planning and reporting, and will be responsible for reviewing and implementing best practices, ensuring that the charity’s financial functions are fit for its size, purpose, and growth.

The Harlequins Foundation wish to appoint an Education and Employability Mentor to oversee the development, planning and delivery of our employability provision. As the Education and Employability Mentor, you will have oversight of a variety of different programmes, playing a vital role in the development and delivery of these. We are excited to be advertising the role of Psychotherapy Service Manager at Respond, to lead our team and the development of our psychotherapy services with autistic people and people with learning disabilities who have experienced trauma and their families. Many of our clients may have experienced complex or multiple traumatic experiences including sexual violence, domestic abuse and neglect.
The Psychotherapy Service provides predominantly longer-term therapeutic support of a year or more, depending on how the work is funded, to an average of 130 unique individuals per year. The current team of 10 are made up of 4 senior therapists (reporting to the postholder), 4 therapists and 2 honoraries in training, the majority of whom are Arts therapists and work within a psychodynamic and/or systemic model.
We welcome applications from experienced Psychodynamic Counsellor/Psychotherapists, Arts therapists, Psychologists or Family Therapists who are passionate about our work. You will work psychodynamically, champion our trauma informed approach including our reflective practice model and have the opportunity to influence and shape the development of the psychotherapy service. Leading the small team, you will provide clinical leadership and be Safeguarding lead, ensuring we continue to provide high quality psychotherapy services. We are offering the role at 4-5 days per week, working in a hybrid manner flexibly. You can also hold your own small case load of clients, supervisees and/or consultancy work within the role.
This is a unique and specialist role and we recognise that you may have more experience in one clinical area or client group than another, given the breadth of our work and whilst you may be experienced in working psychodynamically as a therapist and as a line manager, you may be newer to leading a service for example. We are looking for an Employment Specialist to join our team in Leatherhead, Surrey. We help individuals with mental health problems to find paid employment. We also support people to retain their employment when they are struggling at work due to their mental health. We also advise and support employers about mental health in the workplace. But its only possible with the help of people like you.
Your challenge? To do everything you can to help the individuals we work with to source appropriate work experience placements with local organisations/employers. Day to day, you’ll offer support, careers advice and guidance, helping people to set their own recovery and employment focused goals and provide training in personal and skills development such as CV preparation, interview techniques etc. You’ll also be responsible for establishing and maintaining positive links with community mental health teams and have the initiative to develop and promote the service. Additionally, you will have responsibility for maintaining efficient admin systems to ensure referrals, assessments and reviews are completed in a timely manner.
As well as a good understanding of mental health problems and the issues and barriers this can create for our clients, you’ll need excellent motivational, presentation and listening skills and a willingness to travel in the local area and to work outside of office hours as required.
This is a permanent full-time role requiring the post holder to work 37.5 hours per week.
