About us
Who we are
Street League use sport and physical activity to tackle youth unemployment. We do this by working with young people from disadvantaged areas, and engaging them in sport and education programmes with a view to getting participants into work, mainstream education or training.
We use sport as an engagement and retention tool in order to build the confidence and develop the soft skills of our participants. Young people take part in a daily sessions which acts as a feeder programme for our Academies.
We offer two principal Academy programmes. The first is the Personal Development Academy which is held each afternoon. After successful completion of the Personal Development Academy, young people can progress onto our more intensive 14-week Progressions Academy. As well as taking part in football and fitness activity, young people will achieve accredited qualifications and participate in a two-week work placement.
Street League operate in 12 regions across the UK in Scotland and England.
