We are recruiting for a private international charitable foundation which seeks to support environmental recovery, supported by cultures and economies grounded in Earth lore, in line with their “breathe freely” ethos.  As such they are committed to grants and other investments that are healing to the climate, to biodiversity, and to human cultural relations with the other-than-human. The foundation is currently based in a Hong Kong family office, with personnel in Hong Kong and the UK, as well as Cameroon, Brazil, Australia, Papua, and the US. This is a new position which interfaces with all foundation staff. Under the general direction of the Director of Operations, you will be developing and ensuring that staff policies and practices are relevant, clear, harmonized, and compliant with regulations across the foundation’s staff locations and in alignment with the foundation’s values. The position provides an opportunity to practice all aspects of a global HR function including recruiting, hiring and on-boarding, remuneration and benefits, performance and effectiveness, compliance, training and development, staff wellness and retention, and HRIS.

Global Human Relations Specialist 

Responsibilities

— The responsibilities of Global Human Relations Specialist will include, but are not limited to:

• Determine and facilitate optimal hiring status for new and continuing staff (direct employment, EoR employment, independent consulting) and initiate and manage contracts as appropriate.
• When there are open positions, working with hiring managers to manage the full cycle of recruitment of positions including job scoping, candidate sourcing, interviewing, reference checking, background checking, developing offers and closing the hire.
• Guide and manage onboarding, orientation and exit processes.
• Evaluate and facilitate staff mobility and travel requirements (visas, permits, and registrations) as needed.
• Update and maintain job description library and organisational charts.
• Maintain appropriate benchmarks, periodically review and recommend enhancements to compensation and benefits plans across international geographies.
• Coordinate payroll and HR administration with International Accountant and others.
• Review, update, develop and enhance processes, policies, and procedures for staff across various jurisdictions to ensure compliance around applicable labour and employment regulations, internal equity in compensation and benefits, and to reflect best practices and our institutional culture and values. Identify any significant gaps to our offering in relation to staff priorities.
• Ensure the integrity of staff records and timeliness of any required actions (e.g. remuneration adjustments, contract renewals, enrolments etc).
• Consult with, coach, and support managers and staff on standard personnel transactions, employee relations issues, interpretation and fair application of policies and applicable laws.
• Recommend appropriate resources and training for professional development needs.
• Organise staff events for team and capacity building and cross-cultural and cross-disciplinary learning including annual retreat.
• Maintain a pulse on staff morale and identify strategies to enhance staff cohesion, engagement and overall health and well-being.
• Specify and optimize HRIS to efficiently manage human resource related processes, record keeping and analytics. Manage HRIS interfaces with other relevant systems such as accounting.
• Develop and manage relationships with staffing related service providers including payroll and HRIS providers, accountants and employment law experts.

General and Other

• Coordinate user training and resourcing on HRIS (including payroll) platform, as needed.
• Keep abreast of developments in foundation staffing (role descriptions and structures).
• Keep abreast of best practices in international HR.
• Occasional travel as required for execution of duties.
• Other duties as are consistent with specialist’s role and experience as the foundation continues to evolve, or from time to time as prompted by institutional priorities.

Qualifications

— The successful Global Human Relations Specialist candidate will likely reflect much of the following profile:

 Essential

• A combination of education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or a field related to the work.
• Five years’ progressively responsible HR experience.
• International HR experience. GPHR or PHRi or equivalent, a plus.
• Practical understanding of global employment law and issues.
• Strong understanding of accounting as it relates to staffing.
• Excellent, hands-on knowledge of web-based systems including HRIS, payroll (we currently use Deel), office suite platforms (proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite preferred).
• Comfortable in complex and highly matrixed environments. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and effectively with peers across disciplines and functions in shared efforts with proven ability to influence without direct formal authority.

Chefs in Schools is a young, ambitious charity that’s rapidly growing. Our mission is to improve kids' health, through improving school food & food education. We focus our efforts in areas of high socio-economic deprivation, where more than a third of children are entitled to free school meals, and diet-related disease is driving further inequality.

We support and train school kitchen teams to serve the best, freshest and tastiest food possible, alongside meaningful food education. We share learning and resources, aiming to inspire and enable others to follow our lead.

About you and the role

The purpose of this role is to manage operational delivery of our School Chef Educator programme, ensuring efficient and effective delivery.  The School Chef Educator programme is a 10 week training programme for school kitchen staff, covering topics such as Reducing Food Waste, and Food Education. It is delivered in a blended learning format, through a mix of in-person training, bitesize webinars, and our online learning website.

You will be supported by our Director of Transformations, and manage our Chef Trainers who deliver our School Chef Educator Programme. You will work closely with the Director of Partnerships & Impact, our School Engagement Manager and our Research Supervisor, to identify and liaise with suitable funding partners, academies and schools, and ensure we are monitoring and evaluating our programme delivery to evidence it’s impact and ensure quality delivery across the cohorts that take part.

Your role will oversee our School Chef Educator Programmes, delivered across England. This role will be primarily focused in London, but will include supporting schools in locations across the UK as we develop new hubs. An average week in this role might see you attending meetings with new partners to secure support for new programmes, sourcing venues for training days, scheduling programme delivery dates, identifying and contacting schools in our programme delivery areas to sign up their kitchen teams to our programme, developing new content on our learning management system, attending webinars our Chef Trainers are delivering, and supporting Chef Trainers with our in-person kick off sessions, and graduation celebrations.

● Ensuring learning and evaluation is embedded in our programme delivery, working with the Chef Trainers to document best practice learnt from each programme.

● To work alongside the Director of Partnerships & Impact and our Research Supervisor to ensure that we’re collecting accurate and relevant data to measure our impact, evaluate the impact and effectiveness of the programmes, conducting regular assessments and measurements.

● Work with the Research Supervisor to support preparing reports on the impact of the School Chef Educator programmes, including statistical data, trends, and success stories.

● Maintain accurate data records and ensure our contacts database is up to date with relevant participant, partner and engagement information.

● Collaborate with the Chef Trainers to ensure the delivery of high-quality services that meet the needs of participants on our programmes.

● Overseeing project planning and execution for the continued expansion of the roll-out of the School Chef Educator training programme - this will involve being organised and keeping the project on track, working with internal and external parties.

● Assist in the delivery of programmes where necessary, providing support and guidance to the Chef Trainers as needed.

● Working with the Chief Innovation Officer, the Chef Trainers across all our programmes and the wider Chefs in Schools network to identify current and future skills requirements for the school kitchen workforce.

● Developing and/or commission relevant training materials to keep our programme up to date and develop new programmes that complement our organisational strategy.

● Plan, and manage the continued iterative development of our School Chef Training programme. Lead on programme design, monitoring performance and adjusting our approach as necessary for future cohorts.

● Line manage the Chef Trainers, lead on hiring, training and managing any future staff required as our programme offering grows.

● Maintain and manage our Learning Management System, and Learning App, ensuring good version control, user management, and digital legal compliance.

Age UK Wandsworth is an independent local charity. We've been working in the local community to help older people for over 60 years. We have dedicated staff and over 300 volunteers helping us to deliver services and activities for older people in Wandsworth.

As a Researcher, you will be running elements of our research programmes, as well as managing client accounts and providing them with consultancy support. This will include advising charity clients on what the results mean for their organisation and how to make the best of their research.

The Researcher will be a core member of the Public Audiences team, working on our regular tracking research in the UK, Ireland and Canada, as well as on bespoke projects. In practice, this means working on a wide variety of topics and using many different research methodologies to help charities make better decisions. Key topics we cover in our research and outputs include brand, communications, fundraising, reputation and trust.

Many charities subscribe to our regular tracking research, which primarily focuses on research with the general public and MPs. Some charities need more bespoke research, which would involve the team working closely with clients to help understand their needs and to design research projects to meet their objectives. This type of work could include: online surveys to measure people’s attitudes on social issues to influence the development of a campaign; interviews with service users to explore the impact of their services; focus groups to test understanding of a charity’s brand and communication; or supporter satisfaction surveys to understand the motivations and retention of supporters.

nfpResearch is based in Spitalfields, near Liverpool Street. We adopt a flexible working environment, enabling staff to work both at home and in the office. We require one day a month in the office at least, though the successful candidate may be expected to work in-office on additional days throughout the year for training or events, etc. nfpResearch operates a 100-90-100 working policy. Description of responsibilities and opportunities:

• Opportunities to work on the research we conduct for a whole range of charities in the UK and other countries

Who we are looking for:

This post would be ideally suited to somebody with a minimum of one years experience in a market or social research related role, with a strong interest in, or experience of, the charity sector.

Their programme empowers people to build a bridge from their life in prison to a bright future, leaving the criminal justice system behind for good. JOB PURPOSE

To inspire people with mental health conditions to progress, and to gain and sustain paid employment.  Some Employment Specialists will support clients with common (mild to moderate) mental health conditions (e.g. anxiety, depression), whilst others will support clients with more severe and enduring mental illness (e.g. schizophrenia, bipolar, personality disorders).

Depending on what clients are right for you to work with, you will either work across the local NHS primary or secondary care network alongside NHS clinicians to secure client referrals.

To work with clients with more serious mental illness, you will need to be comfortable supporting people who have experienced / are experiencing serious mental health challenges, as well as possibly other serious difficulties in their lives.  Although you will receive full training and support, it’s important you are aware of the potential impact this may have on your own mental wellbeing.

All Employment Specialists will follow the 8 principles of IPS, adhere to the IPS Fidelity Scale and achieve monthly targets and KPIs with the required administration and compliance.

Responsibilities and Duties

1. Engage a caseload of clients with mental health problems and establish trusting, collaborative relationships to support them into employment in line with contract targets and IPS fidelity.

2. Assess clients’ employment support needs; implementing and adjusting employment plans as necessary to support each client’s desired outcomes along IPS requirements.

3. Develop and deliver a range of practical services to meet clients’ needs including career guidance, job searching, CV preparation, interview skills, individual coping techniques or work coaching.

4. Build a constant flow of referrals to ensure a dynamic caseload.

5. Conduct weekly employer engagement activity in line with IPS Fidelity.

6. Understand the complex issues a client may face, recognise holistic support needs and work in conjunction with clinical staff.

7. Facilitate access to expert financial advice on welfare benefits and ‘access to work’ resources.

8. Provide support and reasonable adjustments if required, to employed clients to support them to stay and progress in work.

9. As requested, attend clinical team meetings to provide advice and information on employment and IPS.

10. Collaborate with community partners to raise awareness of employment and mental health issues and promote access to the service.

11. Maintain accurate and up to date records of activity and outcomes in line with service requirements, ensuring the IT database is up to date and paperwork compliant.

12. Update and maintain NHS database (IAPTus).

13. Receive regular supervision and training to meet individual, team and organization’s needs.
