The Royal Society of Chemistry is looking for a Digital Channel Owner to join our Integrated Media team. This is an exciting opportunity where you will be involved across our communications and marketing campaigns, focusing on a wide range of global audiences, helping us to target activity using timely, unique and relevant messaging based on preferences and behaviours, supporting both emotional and rational positioning to drive action and engagement.

As Digital Channel Owner you will play a key role in managing a range of digital channels to deliver impactful activity to support our ambitious campaigns. You will be expected to develop close relationships with colleagues, including delivery teams and those based overseas.

In this role, you will:

• Create and deliver content across digital channels (social media, website, email)
• Specialise in multiple digital platforms, becoming an in-house expert across our digital estate, including X, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube.
• Monitor and analyse digital metrics to improve channel effectiveness, advising colleagues on digital best practices
• Stay current with digital communication trends as well as legal and best practices
• Collaborate with colleagues on integrated marketing and communications campaigns, including paid activities
• Ensure data integrity and provide performance reporting, building knowledge to monitor target audiences and industry trends
• Develop and maintain RSC brand consistency across all digital communications
• Collaborate and support Communications team in delivering strategic priorities

Although this role is contractually based at our Cambridge or London office, you will be able to work from home within the UK, with the expectation that you will attend the office as needed for your role. What we are looking for:

• Degree level and/or a relevant communications/marketing qualification and/or relevant communications/marketing experience.
• Experience within an organisation of some or all of the following: social media management, digital advertising, content creation, email marketing.
• Experience of using social platforms as digital marketing tools – specifically the range of organic posting methods; social posting tools and measurement; paid promotion and measurement
• Experience of creating and using video on digital platforms, with a professional understanding of video content, video production and best practise for content on YouTube (including – but not limited to – closed captions, SEO tagging etc.)
• Experience creating and publishing content for corporate social media accounts such as X, Facebook/insta reels and LinkedIn, and using social media analytics tools to optimise social strategies.
• Experience of using leading email platforms and marketing automation systems, email automation and trigger/behaviour based email communications.
• Experience in measuring and reporting on the performance of digital content and channels.
• Experience of using website content management systems and knowledge of search engine marketing and SEO (search engine optimisation)
• Demonstrable interest in how the digital environment is evolving and an appreciation of its role in the delivery of effective and efficient organisational communications and marketing, together with an understanding of complementary disciplines such as advertising and ecommerce

Job Context

YMCA England & Wales is the national body of the YMCA in England & Wales, supporting, developing and representing just over 100 local YMCA’s, ranging from small community based organisations to nationally relevant specialists.

Job Purpose

 

The purpose of this role is to ensure that YMCA England & Wales is able to mobilise the public, our federation, external organisations and young people to support our campaigns calling for political or social changes to improve the lives of young people across the country. This will include building relationships with local YMCAs and young people to ensure our work is informed and driven by those we represent, creating advocacy actions for them and the public to engage with and giving our young people a platform for their voices to be heard.

Scope and Limits of Authority:

 

The Campaigns Officer will report into the Public Affairs and Campaigns Manager. The post will have no line management or formal budgetary responsibilities.

The post holder must operate at all times in accordance with the approved policies and procedures of YMCA England & Wales and act in accordance with the values and ethos of the organisation as outlined in the Code of Conduct.  In addition all employees must adhere to the performance management processes and systems approved by the Board of Trustees.

Areas of responsibility

● Contribute to the development of YMCA England & Wales’ national campaigns strategies.

The Centre for Justice Innovation seeks to build a justice system which all of its citizens believe is fair and effective. We provide hands on support to front-line practitioners, conduct research into how things work, and could work better, and promote evidence-based policy solutions.

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic intern to support the work of the Centre’s Women In Justice Programme. The position is full-time for a fixed period of four months starting in September 2024 and pays the London Living Wage. Travel costs will also be reimbursed.

What will I be doing?

Evidence review

One of the primary roles you will undertake is a review of the existing evidence base around the profile and vulnerabilities of women engaged in the criminal justice system. This review will seek to synthesise evidence about both the prevalence of vulnerabilities of justice involved women and the mechanisms between those vulnerabilities and their offending. Findings from this evidence review will be key in supporting the development of messaging for policy makers, as well as contributing to the milestones below.

Analyse data to extract meaningful insights around the complex needs of women who come to court.

Our previous research into the vulnerabilities and unmet needs of people who come to court, and people’s experiences of the court process, all suggest that we must do much better to make the court process fairer. This is especially the case for women, who often have disproportionately high complex needs, and who often also have contact with the child protection system. This work will bring together evidence on the needs of women who come to court, in part by exploiting existing Community Advice service data to identify the number and profile of women attending court with support issues, as well as developing case studies. The evidence review will also play a core role in developing a picture of the evidence around the needs of women coming to court.

Contribute to the delivery of Women in Justice policy and practice priorities:

You will also support the delivery of our strategic aims in this area, in part through the findings of the evidence review. In particular, you will work with others to deliver the following milestones:

• Analyse findings from recent fieldwork to develop recommendations to promote long-lasting change for community support for women with substance use disorders. Findings from the evidence review will ensure the recommendations are concrete and practical for policymakers, local authority commissioners and service providers.

• Support the event management of a workshop convening practitioners working in, and interested in working in, problem-solving courts for women. Findings from the evidence review will be shared within the workshops to stimulate and inform discussions.

• Promote the evidence for the use of problem-solving courts for women with policymakers. Summary findings from the evidence review will support the development of messaging for policy makers.

Development and engagement

Beyond these milestones, you will also support the development of the Centre’s Women in Justice programme, helping us develop our capacity to articulate the links between our work on women in contact with the criminal justice system and other relevant areas of work including family justice, women’s substance use and violence against women and girls. This work may involve working on the development of funding bids and supporting the Women in Justice area of focus leads in their work and stakeholder engagement. You will also attend any relevant events and parliamentary meetings that happen during this time, such as APPGs and VAWG conferences.

Support across the research team

In addition to working on the evidence review, you will support other members of the research team with research activities as required. This might include activities such co-facilitating interviews, coding transcripts, and holding an online workshop with participants.

This will involve mapping and building contact lists of key parliamentarians and policymakers, and supporting the outreach to these stakeholders, for example by helping us draft letters and organise policy events. You will be the Centre’s eyes and ears in Westminster, and monitor relevant parliamentary business, such as justice select committee hearings, parliamentary debates and All Party Parliamentary Group meetings, to identify and share with the team policy trends and organisational opportunities.

You will also help our Communications Officer to increase the reach and impact of the Centre’s work, for example by expanding our promotional mailing lists of organisations working in academia, the third sector and journalists, and building up the Centre’s image library. What we’re looking for 

We are seeking an LMS Integration Specialist to join our team on a short-term basis. This role is key in developing a new microsite dedicated to hosting a Learning Management System (LMS). The microsite will serve as a dynamic platform for delivering educational content and interactive learning experiences. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in content management, quality assurance, and LMS plug-in integrations.

Deliverables

Plugin Management and Integration:

• Set up and manage plugins, for example a plugin to control access based on user roles and subscription levels.
• Identify, install, and configure third-party plugins to extend LMS functionality, including membership management and interactive content tools.
• Ensure all plugins are updated, compatible, and functioning correctly.

API Integration (Zapier, Salesforce):

• Integrate LearnDash with external systems, particularly Salesforce, using Zapier to automate data flow and enhance CRM capabilities.
• Develop and manage REST API connections to streamline data synchronisation and reporting.

System Testing and Quality Assurance:

• Perform thorough testing of user journeys and routes to identify and report bugs, inconsistencies, and areas for improvement.
• Work closely with the wider team to resolve identified issues and verify fixes.
• Conduct comprehensive testing of all plugins and integrations to ensure seamless operation and optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to system access, course content, and plugin functionality.

Back Up is an organisation that has inspired and supported people affected by spinal cord injury to get the most out of life for almost 40 years. Charity People is delighted to be supporting this incredible organisation to recruit for an interim part time Director of Communications and Marketing who will join the team at a key point; the charity's income has grown year on year since 2020 and they have a goal to increase that further by 2025 in order that they can meet increasing demand for their services.

The interim Director of Communications and Marketing will simultaneously oversee delivery of current plans and look to the future; putting in place structures, systems and processes to support a growing organisation and make the most of new opportunities as they arise.

Part time Director of Communications and Marketing

Contract: interim, 12 month role

Hours: Part time, 21 hours per week

Key responsibilities within the role will include:

About the role:

The British Museum is seeking a Finance Assistant to work as part of the Payables function of the Finance Department in a world renowned setting and the most popular tourist attraction in the UK. You will ensure that financial data is accurate, that all invoices are recorded in a timely manner, and that the service provided to Museum departments is of a high standard.

Key areas of responsibility:

• Maintain the purchase ledger, ensuring ageing is current and that payments are correctly allocated.
