We are looking for a strong finance professional to join our Finance partnering team! You will be supporting our Income and Engagement Directorate which includes raising funds so that Alzheimer’s Society can provide essential services to those who need us. You will assist the team with financial analysis and advice that will help shape decision making. This role will involve you to support budget holders to maximise their impact and deliver a high quality, customer focused finance partnering service to stakeholders, including support to operational decision making, commercial development and producing forecasts, budgets and insightful analysis.
You'll have experience in preparing financial reports, budgets, forecasts, business plans, and modelling of financial data. You will advocate and promote the Society's core values (trusted experts, better together, compassionate and determined to make a difference) able working collaboratively with wider teams successfully and professionally to complete tasks.

Temwa is seeking a dynamic Fundraising & Development Manager to lead and expand our charity's fundraising efforts. The ideal candidate will be experienced, confident, and honest, with a deep passion for international development.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Overseeing the fundraising team, including the Programme & Trust Officer who supports grant applications and reporting, and the Fundraising & Events Coordinator who supports individual giving, events, and trading.

We have a highly skilled team of 30 full-time employees in Malawi implementing this work, based out of two offices in the Northern Region. Our UK office in Bristol comprises a small fundraising and operations team of seven staff (two team members are full-time, all other team members are part-time), 3-5 regular volunteers and interns, and a wider family of volunteers and supporters.
Temwa UK has an experienced and high functioning board of Trustees who are very engaged. The board member who oversees the fundraising portfolio is very active, providing support to the Fundraising & Development Manager and the fundraising team as a whole.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
1. Managing the fundraising strategy and donor relations with oversight of the fundraising office
- Develop, implement, monitor, and evaluate the charity’s income generation strategy, ensuring targets are achieved.
- Align the fundraising strategy with the communications and marketing strategy.
- Act as the organizational expert on income generation, leading the team to expand all relevant fundraising streams.
- Maintain and enhance current income streams, including trust fundraising, corporate fundraising, high value donors, and individual giving.
- Maintain relationships with key donors and their specific requirements.
- Collaborate with the Programme Advisor and Programmes Director in Malawi to align community needs with donor priorities.
- Lead, research & review the opportunities to apply for institutional funding with the Programme Advisor.
- Manage donor relations and communication with the Managing Director, Programme Advisor, and UK fundraising team.
- Contribute to donor reporting and distribution donor reports, and ensure compliance to donor-relevant obligations with the Programme Advisor.
- The Fundraising & Development Manager will report directly to the MD and Board of Trustees.
2. Providing leadership to and managing the fundraising team
- Develop, coach, inspire, and motivate the team to achieve their objectives and grow their skills.
- Conduct regular one-to-ones with direct reports, ensuring effective performance management with timely appraisals.
- Ensure team members have clear work plans and objectives.
- Champion best practices in particular with use of the database, ensuring all legal and compliance standards are met and, where possible, exceeded in fundraising and marketing activities.
- Recruit key fundraising team members as needed.
- Support the fundraising team in designing and managing effective marketing and communications strategies.
- Facilitate effective internal and external communication, sharing information, successes, and best practices.
3. Growing income streams
- Lead and manage all fundraising areas in the UK office, ensuring targets are met.
- Develop and manage comprehensive budgets, providing performance information to the Senior Management Team and Trustees.
- Ensure effective management of the donor journey for all contacts.
- Research and develop business cases for new income generation areas to drive sustainability.
- Implement and evaluate new income generation projects.

- Lead on all grant applications, including trust & foundation and institutional.
- Manage individual giving campaigns and online activities with support from the fundraising team.
- Source individual stories and images, brief internal and external teams, and write copy as needed.

- Collaborate with the management team to reach key audiences and achieve strategic goals.

Experience, Qualifications, and Requirements:
The ideal applicant would have the following attributes

The Network Lead plays a central role in helping us achieve our vision to end the need for food banks in the UK. This is a varied, proactive and fast-paced role that involves representing the Trussell Trust on policy and public affairs in the region/nation, the leadership of a dynamic team of area managers that supports the network of food banks in the region/nation to deliver emergency food, and the coordination of projects and partnerships to support the food banks in our network to reduce the need for their services locally.
Role responsibilities

Strategic Leadership: Manage the delivery in the region/nation of food bank operations and key strategic projects that are part of the Trussell Trust’s five-year strategy to end the need for food banks.

Learning with Parents supports all families to have positive learning interactions together and leads the sector to learn what works in tackling inequality.
In partnership with 150 primary schools, we support families across the UK to enjoy learning together at home. Families are motivated to sustain and enjoy frequent and positive interactions together.
Our parental engagement journey with schools starts by focussing on reading. Our digital reading log is an inclusive way for schools and families to record reading, replacing physical reading records.
Our full Maths and English programme builds on the positive habits fostered by our reading log. It replaces traditional Maths and English homework with fun activities which have parent-child interaction at their heart. Through behavioural insight research, innovative technology and teacher training we ensure that as many families as possible are supported effectively.
We are working to improve parental engagement across the sector, by producing evidence of parents’ impact and generating insights into how schools can best support them. Learnings are disseminated through the Parental Engagement Forum and amplified through the Fair Education Alliance.
About the Role
There are 1.4 million primary-aged children growing up in poverty in the UK, and we are currently only working with a fraction of them. We have grown rapidly over the last few years and are now looking to grow our Fundraising team to the next level.
The Fundraising and Communications Officer will work as part of the Fundraising team to deliver Learning with Parents’ fundraising strategy. Their primary focus will be strengthening our existing funding pipeline through prospects research and managing the donor database. They will also be responsible for drafting compelling applications and reports for new and existing donors. They will develop and adapt our fundraising resources and provide wider support to the team.
The Fundraising and Communications Officer will also be responsible for managing Learning with Parents external communications, including creating and posting engaging blogs and social media posts, drafting the Annual Impact Report and managing the organisation’s brand guidelines.
Lastly, the Fundraising and Communications Officer will provide logistical support for the Parental Engagement Forum.

About you

Women’s Aid is the national charity working to end domestic abuse against women and children. Purpose of the Interim Head of Training and Education role:
The successful candidate will play an integral role in supporting the Training and Education function within Women’s Aid through a period of significant change, whilst maintaining a focus on the delivery of high quality training products to a diverse set of audiences.
Key duties and responsibilities of the Interim Head of Training and Education:
- Have oversight and hold strategic responsibility for the delivery of training and accredited education and qualifications that are developed and delivered by Women’s Aid.

Specific responsibilities
An applicant appointed to the role will be expected to:
- Engage with disadvantaged households who need help with energy issues.
- Improve the understanding and confidence of households in fuel poverty to better manage their energy use.
- Reduce the financial hardship and stress of households in fuel poverty by supporting their access to lower tariffs (where possible), grants for heating and insulation improvements and income maximisation.
- Improve the wellbeing and safeguarding of households in fuel poverty whose health conditions are exacerbated by living in a cold home.
- Identify energy improvements that can be made to the home and refer to installers who can fit them.

About this exciting opportunity
Working as part of a multi-agency team, you will provide person-centred support to a caseload of service users who will either be serving community sentences or being released from prison. You will undertake assessment and action planning with individual service users, create a safe and trusting environment, using trauma-informed practice to successfully facilitate a supportive and constructive relationship with service users, plus deliver a range of interventions to service users which contribute towards achievement of prescribed outcomes.

The In2STEM programme is a fantastic opportunity for 16-19 year olds to gain insights directly from STEM industry and research professionals. What we are looking for
We are excited to be recruiting a Senior Programme Officer to join our growing In2STEM Programme team. The focus of this role will be to support delivery and ensure that our young people have an exceptional experience on the programme. You will also be kept engaged through deputising for the In2STEM Programme Manager one day per week.
You will have a good understanding of the challenges today’s young people from less privileged backgrounds may face and bring a proven track record of supporting vulnerable young people and/or adults with a range of support needs, including mental health needs, learning difficulties and disabilities. Duties and responsibilities
The purpose of the Senior Programme Officer role is to support the successful delivery of the In2STEM Programme and ensure our young people have an excellent experience.
Your specific duties will include:
Programme Delivery

Managing a caseload of students and volunteers from application stage to successful completion of the programme, including recruitment, placement matching, onboarding, event planning and programme delivery (in-person and online), troubleshooting throughout the programme and evaluation.

Track record of experience directly supporting vulnerable young people and/or adults with a range of support needs, including mental health needs, learning difficulties and disabilities, facilitating access to other support services as needed.

An understanding of the social and economic barriers that prevent some young people accessing STEM careers and an ability to recognise the importance of diversity and inclusion in STEM.

Knowledge and understanding of the STEM sector, including higher education, apprenticeships and STEM careers.

Experience of delivering projects for young people including recruitment and caseload working.

Experience developing and maintaining strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders at various levels.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong presentation skills and an ability to adapt to a range of audiences.

Good understanding of safeguarding in practice when working with young people.

Flexible and adaptable, with an ability to pick up new tasks quickly and keep a level head when faced with challenges.

Many of our roles involve working with children and we will therefore take up references prior to your appointment. You should provide details of referees including your current and previous employers, covering the last 5 years. Your current or previous employer will be asked about disciplinary offences relating to children, if the role involved working with children, including any in which the penalty is time expired. We will also ask if you have been the subject of any child protection concerns and if so, the outcome of any enquiry or disciplinary procedure.
