This is an excellent opportunity for someone with an aptitude for stakeholder management and organisational relationships, as you will support the CEO, Board and wider team, as well as liaising with colleagues within Age UK, HelpAge International and the Disasters Emergency Committee.

As Board & Executive Support Officer, you will work closely with the CEO to enable good governance and effective Board meetings, liaising with the Chair and Trustees between meetings to support them in their oversight roles, ensuring reviews of organisational policies, and timely communications.

This role involves providing administrative support to the CEO specifically (e.g. diary management), alongside logistical assistance for the CEO and wider team (e.g. arranging international travel and meetings).

You will act as a focal point for co-ordination across Age International, providing flexible support on a wide range of projects, so experience of project management, a proactive approach, the ability to take the initiative confidently and deliver to tight deadlines are important.

This is a part-time (17.5 hours weekly) hybrid opportunity, a blend of both home and office-based working. Salary advertised is full time equivalent.

Must haves:

• Administrative experience: minute taking, diary management, maintenance of online files and company records, administrative and travel support to a team.
• Project management experience, including organising events.
• The ability to use current office technology including MS Teams, Board software and associated communication tools.
• Excellent communications skills.
• Confidence working across departments, good stakeholder management and a collaborative approach to building working relationships with people at all levels, both internally and externally.

Property Resources Officer

The Vacancy

We are offering a unique and exciting opportunity to join in the work of the Connexional Property Support team and the wider Methodist Church in delivering its strategic plan to make the best use of its buildings for mission in local communities across the country.

Working alongside the Director and colleagues within the team, you will be helping to provide the essential support and guidance the team offers to Trustees, Ministers, Connexional colleagues and the wider church.

Your role will be varied, including supporting colleagues in their specific areas of work and expertise - from listed buildings to net zero initiatives.  You will also lead on engagement with Trustees and alike who are seeking advice and guidance in relation to a variety of property resource needs.  This could be through the provision of proactive support of and input into, relevant forms of guidance, communications and funding, community engagement, training and good practice.

Alongside this, you will lead on the communications and resourcing to the District Property Officer network and other relevant networks, across the Connexion.

You will also support the Director in the administration of property related grants.

About You

We are looking for someone who wants to make a positive contribution to the work of the Property Support team and be equally comfortable collaborating in a team environment or under your own initiative.  You will have experience supporting a senior team, and preferably have property or project management experience, although this is not essential.

As the role will underpin and contribute to supporting the team’s work with external colleagues, particularly the District Property Officer network, it is essential that you are comfortable in engaging with a range of stakeholders, and have excellent organisational skills, particularly in terms of resourcing and training.

The role will be very collaborative with team colleagues, and therefore experience and ability to plan, research and assimilate new information alongside the analysis and delivery of projects will be an essential quality.

Responsibilities

— The responsibilities of Global Human Relations Specialist will include, but are not limited to:

Qualifications

— The successful Global Human Relations Specialist candidate will likely reflect much of the following profile:

 Essential

• A combination of education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or a field related to the work.
• Five years’ progressively responsible HR experience.
• International HR experience. GPHR or PHRi or equivalent, a plus.
• Practical understanding of global employment law and issues.
• Strong understanding of accounting as it relates to staffing.
• Excellent, hands-on knowledge of web-based systems including HRIS, payroll (we currently use Deel), office suite platforms (proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite preferred).

We are looking for a Philanthropy Executive to join our small, yet dynamic and passionate philanthropy team. In this role, you’ll raise income from major donors, trusts, foundations, and corporate supporters, as well as supporting broader team efforts. As a Researcher, you will be running elements of our research programmes, as well as managing client accounts and providing them with consultancy support. This will include advising charity clients on what the results mean for their organisation and how to make the best of their research.

The Researcher will be a core member of the Public Audiences team, working on our regular tracking research in the UK, Ireland and Canada, as well as on bespoke projects. In practice, this means working on a wide variety of topics and using many different research methodologies to help charities make better decisions. Key topics we cover in our research and outputs include brand, communications, fundraising, reputation and trust.

Many charities subscribe to our regular tracking research, which primarily focuses on research with the general public and MPs. Some charities need more bespoke research, which would involve the team working closely with clients to help understand their needs and to design research projects to meet their objectives. This type of work could include: online surveys to measure people’s attitudes on social issues to influence the development of a campaign; interviews with service users to explore the impact of their services; focus groups to test understanding of a charity’s brand and communication; or supporter satisfaction surveys to understand the motivations and retention of supporters.

nfpResearch is based in Spitalfields, near Liverpool Street. We adopt a flexible working environment, enabling staff to work both at home and in the office. We require one day a month in the office at least, though the successful candidate may be expected to work in-office on additional days throughout the year for training or events, etc. nfpResearch operates a 100-90-100 working policy. Who we are looking for:

This post would be ideally suited to somebody with a minimum of one years experience in a market or social research related role, with a strong interest in, or experience of, the charity sector.

Essential:

• Minimum 1-year previous professional research experience

• Experience of managing projects or research programmes, with minimal supervision

• Experience of managing clients or other external relationships

• Experience of presenting in a professional context

• Quantitative research experience, excellent numerical skills and experience of statistical analysis techniques

It’s an exciting time to join War Child as they have just launched their new Alliance initiative. The War Child Alliance brings together the five War Child fundraising members (in the Netherlands, UK, Germany and Sweden, plus Children in Conflict in the US), with 14 programme members, based in and around conflict-affected areas across the world and coordinated by a new international body: the War Child Alliance Foundation. Through the Alliance they are integrating programme activities under one umbrella – allowing War Child to combine strengths and pool resources – all with the aim to multiply impact for conflict-affected children.

As part of the Trusts and Institutional funding team of four you’ll work alongside the Head of Trusts and Institutional, Trusts Manager and Trusts Executive, and be line managed by the new Trusts and Institutional Funding Lead.

Your key objective is to provide operational, administrative and analytical support to the team to grow income and enable War Child to deliver quality programmes. You’ll ensure compliance with quality and donor requirements, contribute to effective risk management, provide support for the different donor accounts and ensure processes and systems are in place, implemented and efficient.

The role requires proactive collaboration with cross-functional teams, excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and strong communication skills.

About the role

• Develop donor profiles by conducting research on potential donors, including their funding focus, giving history, and connections to War Child.
• Plan and prepare meetings with donors by collaborating with senior colleagues and stakeholders to determine strategic objectives and key messages.
• Monitor and share potential funding opportunities with the relevant Donor Account Managers within the Trusts and Institutional Funding team.
• Support the implementation of internal grant management processes.

StandOut support people leaving prison to realise their potential. Their programme empowers people to build a bridge from their life in prison to a bright future, leaving the criminal justice system behind for good. First in prison, and then in the community, StandOut equips people with the skills, confidence and mindset they need to succeed. This is a part-time role (22.5 to 30hrs) with a salary between £28,000 and £31,000. StandOut are based in London and most work in a hybrid fashion.

Working alongside the Fundraising and Development Manager the Fundraising Officer (Trusts) will be responsible for identifying new opportunities, writing compelling proposals and driving ongoing engagement. Approximately 70% of income derives from trusts and foundations which provides a strong base of funders from which to work, ensuring long term, sustainable funding for the future of StandOut.

This role will suit someone with experience in a similar role where they have worked as a sole fundraiser or as part of a wider team. You will have a track record of writing compelling and successful funding proposals and a passion for criminal justice or wider social justice issues.

• Reconcile budgets, accruals, prepayments and other financial records for year-end.

• Drive effective strategic and operational decision making for budget managers.
• Support the design, development and continuous improvement of finance processes and quality and system improvement projects.

The successful candidate will have:

• Part-qualified with a CCAB qualification or evidence of equivalent experience in a similar role.
• Experience of working in a management accounting, finance business partnering or related financial role.
• Ideally experience working in the public sector, but this is by no means essential.
• Proven experience of working collaboratively, including working with internal and external people in positions of influence to develop and implement customer-focused business solutions.
• Ability to analyse, summarise and communicate financial data and information clearly and accurately to non-financial budget managers.
• Ability to provide constructive challenge to budget managers.

They help our award winners with everything from managing their cash flow, developing business plans, evidencing social impact, raising investment, to helping them find expert mentors in specialist fields.

Guided by our dual goals to fund for impact and deliver market leading support, we will support our Social Entrepreneurs across the UK to create impact and change. This role will work in collaboration across the organisation to ensure we deliver, improve and develop our find, fund and support offer. This role will encourage and lead the SE Support team across England to seek a diverse pipeline and deliver equitable awards and support, by working alongside social entrepreneurs and by making data informed decisions. You will play a major role in deepening our capability and expertise within our awards delivery.
