We are partnering with an organisation that supports members of the armed forces community, including veterans and adult family members with health conditions and other complex challenges, on their journey into employment after leaving service.

They help individuals overcome barriers to employment and transform their lives. With a long and proud history, the organisation continually adapts its services to ensure they remain relevant to modern-day veterans and their families.

This key role involves delivering a grants portfolio to support the strategic aims of Veterans and Family Services. Working alongside the Senior Trusts Manager, you will be responsible for generating income from trusts, foundations, and corporate partnerships at the 5- and 6-figure level. The core grant fundraising programme is well-established, with regular funds from military charities and other trusts and foundations. The corporate partnership programme has recently been updated to focus on higher-value grants and broader partnerships.

The charity has ambitious plans to expand its services and is seeking a capable and confident individual who can work autonomously and creatively across a diverse portfolio, while also engaging with the wider team. As Trust and Corporate Fundraising Manager, you will: 

• Support the development and delivery of the fundraising plan, proactively researching and pursuing new income opportunities, with targets for fundraising applications to trusts & foundations and corporate foundations. (Account Management 60%, New Business 40%)
• Develop strategic and collaborative relationships with funders to maximise income and ensure excellent supporter care with a team target of £770k
• Write and submit compelling, evidence-based funding applications, targeted to the priorities and criteria of the funder
• Provide excellent stewardship of all funders, building on the existing stewardship framework

Main duties

Programme Support 

• Provide support across Causeway's broad portfolio of programmes, such as online mentoring, insight days, work experience weeks and university and employer outreach schemes

• Deliver online and in-person workshops to students and stakeholders, alongside other members of the Programmes Team

• Look after our shared inboxes and share queries with relevant team members 

• Support the collection of information as part of programme reporting requirements

• Support in the design and creation of new programme resources

• Support other team members with management of external communications including the Causeway website, Twitter account and newsletters 

• Develop and implement strategies to promote student engagement with Causeway’s programmes (for example, student 1-1 calls and emails)

Purpose of the Community Fundraising Officer role: 

As Community Fundraising Officer, the successful candidate will play an integral role in nurturing relationships with existing and prospective supporters, as well as overseeing a portfolio of community fundraising events and activities  in order to increase donations. Attending fundraising events and networking will be a key part of the role, paired with a thorough understanding of Women’s Aid work, business plans and strategic priorities.

 Key duties and responsibilities of the Community Fundraising Officer:

• To be responsible for a rolling calendar of events and activities. Providing fundraisers with tailored stewardship, resources, ideas and recognition for their event to maximise income and cultivate them to become a long-term supporter of Women’s Aid.
• To assist with the development and production of a range of fundraising stewardship materials including posters, our fundraising newsletter and annual thank you to donors.
• To work closely with key internal stakeholders both to understand and be able to package up their work into clear compelling asks for all stewardship documents.
• To ensure appropriate means of monitoring and evaluation of fundraising events and activities are established to feed into the fundraising team’s KPIs.
• To use the fundraising database to produce reports and analyse success rates, to feed into the fundraising strategy.
• To take responsibility for purchasing places for events through raising Purchase Orders and invoices where appropriate.
• To develop and manage relationships with fundraisers, encouraging the to become long term supporters of Women’s Aid.

What we are looking for in our Community Fundraising Officer:

• Knowledge of feminism, domestic abuse and the role of Women’s Aid
• Understanding of social media channels and their audiences
• Experience of using a CRM
• Fundraising background with proven experience of having met/exceeded targets

- Substantial experience of devising and implementing successful fundraising for at least two of the following areas: New Business Development, Charity of the Year, Key Account Management, and Volunteer Committee led Events to deliver income growth.

The hospice is looking for a Trusts and Major Donor Fundraiser (to cover maternity) to help them on their mission to continue and expand the excellent care they provide to their patients.

About the role:

The Trusts and Major Donor Fundraiser will help the hospice achieve its ambitious funding goals to increase patient care through maximising grant and donation income from public bodies and charitable trusts. This really is a lovely opportunity to come in to cover the current postholder who has things in a really good place. There will be the opportunity for some crossover so you'll have a working handover.

About the role:

We are seeking a Head of Operations to work with the CEO and senior leadership team to manage a broad scope of operational functions, including workplace governance, people management, digital support, data and risk management. The Talent Set are delighted to be working with a fantastic charity supporting young unaccompanied refugees in England who are looking for an Interim Head of Fundraising & Communications to join their team for an initial 6 months period.

The Head of Fundraising & Communications will operate as an effective member of the Leadership Team, reporting directly to the CEO and acting as the strategic lead for the charity’s fundraising and communications activity.

Given the fluctuating nature of statutory income (currently c.75% of total income) it will be the responsibility of the Head of Fundraising & Communications to develop and implement a fundraising strategy that enables the organisation to diversify its income portfolio, ensuring a sustainable funding model that spreads risk and allows for greater donor engagement.

There is a blank canvas to be creative and try new things, with lots of scope for the successful applicant to determine where the network opportunities might lie, build long term relationships and develop an exciting programme of external communications and engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate as an effective member of the Leadership Team, working collaboratively to ensure the delivery of organisational objectives.
• Develop, lead and deliver the fundraising strategy – focused on diversification and sustainable income whilst remaining hands on in the establishment of new income streams.
• Establish clear stewardship plans for all supporters, maximising their engagement with the charity.
• Develop and implement the communications strategy – utilising external comms to engage supporters and underpin income generation whilst raising awareness about the issues faced by unaccompanied child refugees.
• Oversee the generation of tailored, multimedia content that raises awareness of the charity and drives increased support.

Person Specification:

• Aligned with the charity's values of: Respect, Integrity, Passion, Grace, Compassion and Wisdom.
• Proven expertise of fundraising across different income streams (e.g. trusts and foundations, community, regional, philanthropy). Expertise of developing new income streams from scratch/a low base would be beneficial but not essential.
• Relational approach – focused on developing long term commitments and support from key stakeholders and donor audiences.
• Experience of working in a communications role/closely with communications teams to maximise the opportunities to engage externally and increase support/awareness.
• Creative approach to fundraising, with realistic ambitions within a small charity environment.

What’s on offer:

• An initial 6 month contract with the potential for extension
• A flexible working pattern, although some travel for the role is required. (please note you must have the right to work within the UK).
• A day rate of £200 per-day PAYE inclusive of holiday pay (Inside IR35).

How would you contribute to Cycle Sisters’ mission? 

Cycle Sisters has grown hugely over the past few years, with an expanded range of programmes and activity. We are keen to continue this journey of growth and have just finalised a new strategy for 2024-2027 which prioritises reaching more women and girls, and ensuring our financial sustainability.

The Fundraising Lead will play a critical role in supporting our ‘sustainability' strategic priority to ensure Cycle Sisters can access the resources it needs to keep making a difference.   This post-holder will lead on growing Cycle Sisters’ unrestricted income, with a focus on community fundraising and corporate partnerships.

The post-holder will need to be an excellent networker, confident in representing the organisation externally and able to motivate a range of stakeholders to financially support Cycle Sisters’ work.

What would you be doing?

Below is a list of responsibilities which provide a broad outline of the role.   This is not an exhaustive list as Cycle Sisters is a small team which requires flexibility.

This is a new part-time role and we will work with the successful candidate to develop a workplan which is realistic within the hours available.   There will also be support from other team members on some of the areas of work.

General responsibilities 

• Develop strategies to achieve income targets across the areas outlined below 

• Ensure all fundraising initiatives are properly planned, delivered, monitored and evaluated.   All activities should be conducted in adherence to best practice, Cycle Sisters’ ethical policy and charity law. 

• Represent the organisation externally including networking, delivering presentations and speaking at events 

• Work with the Communications & Media Lead to create compelling fundraising messages and materials for a range of audiences 

• Work collaboratively with other team members in Cycle Sisters to maximise all opportunities for fundraising 

Individual Giving and Community Fundraising 

• Oversee event/challenge fundraising, liaising closely with volunteer fundraisers to maximise income and ensure fundraisers feel valued and appreciated 

• Work with the Communications & Media Lead to ensure donors feel valued and appreciated 

• Develop and implement a regular giving strategy, helping us to progress donors from one-off to regular giving

• Work with the CEO to develop a “membership” scheme to generate regular income from Cycle Sisters’ participant network with incentives and benefits for members 

• Work with an external agency to secure income through digital fundraising 

Corporate Fundraising 

Working closely with the CEO: 

• Develop relationships with existing corporate partners, ensuring partners feel valued and are receiving regular updates

• Research and identify new corporate fundraising prospects.  Develop relationships through networking and representing Cycle Sisters externally.

• Create tailored packages to secure in-kind and financial support from corporate partners 

• Develop ideas for earned income services for corporate partners e.g. led rides

Contract: 35 hours per week, Permanent
Location: The successful candidate will be contracted to the Bradford office but will be expected to be in the field up to 50% of the time across the West Yorkshire region.
Salary: The spot salary for this post is £45,148 per annum for applicants who fully meet the requirements of the post. - HNC/Degree/Diploma level education or equivalent construction experience with sound knowledge of residential maintenance, refurbishment, PAS 2035 and insurance claims.
