World Cancer Research Fund champions the latest and most authoritative scientific research from around the world on cancer prevention and survival through diet, weight and physical activity, so that we can empower people to make informed lifestyle choices to reduce their cancer risk.

We are seeking an inspiring, strategic and collaborative leader to shape and deliver WCRF’s Health Information and Support strategy across three core audiences: the general public, health professionals and cancer survivors. The team turns WCRF’s scientific evidence on cancer prevention and survival into practical, accessible information, training and support based on our Cancer Prevention Recommendations. The postholder will lead and develop the team, ensuring its work is innovative, evidence-based, high quality and demonstrably effective.

Working across Science, Policy, Fundraising, Communications and Engagement, you will create new ways to share our health information, improve existing resources and services, and build impactful partnerships. You will ensure that public and patient insight shapes our work from cancer prevention to survivorship, strengthen programmes for health professionals and make effective use of digital channels. Responsibilities include contributing to our Medical Education programme, participating in working and steering groups and speaking at national conferences, networking at events, engaging corporate audiences and acting as a spokesperson in broadcast and print media. Role overview 

Shine supports a community of over 15,000 members living with spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus, including 10,000 adults (25+).

You will be delivering high-quality support and creating opportunities for adults living with spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus and their carers, supporting Shine members to lead healthy, independent, and fulfilling lives by improving condition management and fostering connections within the Shine community. 

This role will focus on adults (25+), you will be primarily working within the Adult Services Team. However, there will be occasions when you will work across age groups to ensure the best outcomes for our members. 

The role is home-based and ideally you will live within an hour commute of London, within Essex, Kent or Sussex as you will be attending clinics in London and the Southeast as required. About the role

The Finance Manager will ensure the smooth, accurate, and compliant day-to-day financial operations of THS. You will oversee transactional processing, payroll, local group accounting, management of our partner charity accounts, creating monthly management reports and year-end audit preparation.

· Income & Reconciliations: Responsible for income processing, including banking of cash, and processing and tracking of CAF and Stewardship vouchers.  Work with the Office Team to correctly identify bank donations and general transactions.

· Database & Bank Matching: Managing Xero - Access reconciliations and monthly bank, credit card and petty cash reconciliations.

· Gift Aid: Support Gift Aid processing.

· Expenditure Processing: Responsible for expenditure processing, including staff and volunteer expenses, purchase invoices, and associated filing.

This role forms part of Southwark’s commissioned Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) and Domestic Abuse (DA) service, delivered through a consortium partnership led by Bede.

The post holder will coordinate and deliver structured group-based interventions for children and young people affected by domestic abuse, alongside partnership working and service development. The role requires an experienced practitioner able to work autonomously and ensure all interventions are trauma-informed, safe, and responsive. Training will also be given.

Reporting to: (LNK CEO) & Bede VAWG Service Lead): Reporting to: Lives Not Knives CEO (for formal line management and employment matters), with operational coordination and clinical case supervision provided by Bede's VAWG Service Lead.

Programme Delivery & Coordination

• Support the delivery of 1:1 interventions in line with agreed referral pathways and safeguarding procedures, working within Bede systems and processes.

• Deliver structured group programmes, supporting the delivery of established programme materials and content.

• Adapt and update existing session materials as needed to ensure they remain age-appropriate, relevant, and responsive to participant needs, in collaboration with Bede colleagues.

This is not a traditional domestic abuse role, you will support people of all genders affected by gender-based abuse and help shape a service built around prevention, creativity, and community voice. The ethos of the service is to ensure that we are front facing and out in the community to meet clients in spaces that are safe and accessible, as well as our offices.
