About the role 

The Communications and Social Media Manager is responsible for overseeing the messaging and digital content of Help Musicians and sister charity, Music Minds Matter.

As a creative thinker, you will support the Communications team and wider organisation to deliver on-message content that connects with audiences. The role of an IDVA is to address the safety of victims and survivors at high risk of harm. IDVAs work with their customers from the point of crisis by safety planning and risk assessing using the DASH to ascertain the level of risk to the victim.

The client is currently working with 33 schools and 33 churches in developing discipleship pathways for children and young people in Bolton. One key aspect of this project is the ‘Shades Project’, which focuses on racial justice and faith, supporting schools and churches in developing a culture for all children and young people, regardless of racial background, to thrive and flourish. In response to the exciting growth of the Shades Project, they are looking to appoint a Shades Schools Worker, to support the growing opportunities for Christian discipleship, and to embed the Shades ethos, in primary and secondary schools and parishes in Bolton deanery.

The Shades Schools Worker will work with the Shades team, in primary and secondary schools, delivering Shades Collective Worship and Shades ‘Safe Space’ workshops. The post holder should have experience of volunteering with children or young people in a church and/or school context. You will be responsible for:

• Growth (income, partnerships, promotion, participation and advocacy) in a designated geographic territory, or sector, within the UK automotive industry
• Identifying and pursue growth opportunities spending 60-80% of your time ‘on the road’ visiting and pitching new prospects and existing partners, and attending networking and industry events
• Agree new income-generating partnerships ensuring Ben’s employer proposition, fundraising events, products, and campaigns are consistently promoted to all employees
• Deliver targeted income growth by agreeing and facilitating corporate donations and fundraising to support our ambitious plans based on defined KPIs and targets
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders within automotive companies and other industry organisations

The role

This is an important post for the organisation and as the Qualified Management Accountant you will be responsible for leading the management accounting and financial planning of the charity. The role involves working across the organisation, requiring strong interpersonal skills, to deliver first class management information.

• This is an impactful and broad role, but to give an idea of focus, the core areas of delivery will include:
• Owning month-end processes including complex reconciliations such as membership income
• Produce insightful monthly management accounts, including analysis and commentary
• Lead and prepare quarterly reforecasts
• Provide support and challenge to budget holders
• Lead, with the head of finance, the annual budget process and preparation
• Prepare year-end reconciliations and support with audit
• Be the finance representative on the CRM implementation team (implementation due in 2025) and work closely with the Finance Manager on a potential change in the finance system post the 2025 audit

This is an important post in the finance team and, as the Part qualified Management Accountant you will be responsible for a number of important processes supporting month end, reforecasts and the annual budget. You will also work with the head of finance on specific projects and support budget holders across the charity on financial questions and analysis.

• Reconciliations and month end processes to support closing the books

The Supporter Development Fundraising Lead will play a crucial role. We are looking for a high energy, passionate fundraiser who is highly relational. You will work towards the income targets including regular, one off and mission pot donations. In addition, you will understand goals that work together with income, including acquisition and stewardship targets, applying your strong knowledge of the Code of Fundraising Practice across all our activities and ensure we work in a compliant way.   

The ideal candidate will be familiar with fundraising methods including prospecting, research, making initial contact, and growing a connection to our movement through one-to-one conversations and other communications channels. We’re looking for somebody who is highly organised and able to deliver events from concept to finish. You will also be a team player, able to engage and motivate other team members to get on board with fundraising and bring their expertise to the process.
