We’re looking for our next Senior Digital Mobilisation Executive to join our high performing Digital Mobilisation and Engagement team at Refuge. You’ll work dynamically across the organisation with the Digital Mobilisation and Engagement Manager, finding and developing opportunities to engage potential and existing supporters with Refuge and our mission. Using an agile, test and learn approach, you’ll understand our different audiences and be able to deliver segmented, impactful digital content. You’ll also work closely with other teams, playing an essential part in our service provision, campaigns and fundraising through our website and emails.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a similar role, not just being familiar with the platforms, but also in mobilising people to align with our charity and cause and take action through regular touchpoints. You’ll be highly organised and be able to proactively manage multiple projects simultaneously. You’ll understand data flow processes to ensure that conversion information is available and stored securely and usefully by our data team. You’ll also be inquisitive and enjoy data analysis, working with colleagues to test hypotheses and drill down into the rich data sets that the channels provide. You’ll be the organisation’s expert in effective online handraisers, webpages, forms and email, advising others on how to best deliver campaigns that create real world change. Policy:

• The post holder will develop and drive proactive policy and public affairs projects and campaigns in consultation with the Head of Policy, Public Affairs and Research and the wider team.

Public Affairs/Influencing:

• The Policy and Public Affairs Manager will develop and implement strategic influencing plans aligned with the charity’s policy priorities.
• They will develop and manage relationships with Ministers, Members of Parliament, Peers, officials, advisers, and other key stakeholders and strategic partners.
• The post holder will represent the charity at meetings with key stakeholders and sector partners.

Campaigns:

• The Policy and Public Affairs Manager will work closely with the Communications & Marketing and Digital Mobilisation & Engagement Teams to identify campaign objectives, develop strategies to achieve these objectives, and support campaigns as appropriate.
• They will provide policy input into organisational campaigns and media strategy.

Person Specification:

• The ideal candidate will have experience in developing policy positions, influencing policy, and achieving change within a relevant social or criminal justice area.
• They should possess experience of working at a strategic level across a wide range of organisations, including government departments, local authorities, and relevant agencies.
• Experience in identifying issues that require policy change and developing influencing strategies and campaigns to achieve change is essential.
• The candidate should have experience in writing briefings for parliamentarians, officials, and colleagues, and drafting submissions to official consultations and inquiries.
• Experience in underpinning public campaigning with lobbying and media activity is desirable.
• The role is subject to a Basic Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check.

If you are right for this role, you will be a committed, motivated, and outgoing individual who wants to support the sexual and reproductive health (SRH) of young people living in the Royal Borough of Greenwich, working in a partnership capacity as part of a holistic health and wellbeing programme. Your role will be multi-faceted, and you will therefore be flexible and able to offer a variety of SRH interventions in a broad range of settings, to a broad range of young people.

First, you will provide brief interventions in sexual health in an outreach capacity at schools, colleges, universities, leisure centres, youth organisations, and other venues. Here, your primary focus will be to provide basic information about SRH to young people, whilst also encouraging them to complete a Chlamydia screen and register to the free condom scheme. You will also promote online testing for those aged over 18, and connect young people with other local sexual health services through referral and signposting.

Second, you will deliver SRH and relationships training to groups of young people and professionals, in smaller workshop settings as well as to larger groups. You will be able to deliver accurate information on a variety of topics that are often sensitive and complex. You will have an existing knowledge base that you will be willing to expand and solidify through a combination of supported training and independent learning.

Third, you will facilitate offsite drop-in sexual health sessions and offer 1:1 sexual health support to young people who attend any of the four Young Greenwich youth groups. You and your team will each be responsible for attending the four Young Greenwich hubs once each week during evening hours, working closely with the youth group leader as well as the young people themselves to establish trusted relationships and an engaging programme of activity. You will be proactive and creative at integrating sexual health to other, ongoing activities, and ensure effective safeguarding.

Additionally, you will work closely with the wider SHO team, including supporting the sexual health phone lines processing screening results, and where necessary, signposting to relevant services. Across all aspects of your role, you promote local sexual health and contraception services to young people and adults alike, referring to in-person or online services as appropriate and handholding as much or as little as needed, particularly to those most vulnerable. You will keep accurate monitoring records for all interactions, referrals, Chlamydia screens, and C Card registrations / distributions. You will also contribute to quarterly service review reports.

This role requires flexibility, working unsociable hours in the evenings, and occasional weekends. Schedules may vary from week to week depending on programme need.

South East London Mind has been delivering a young person’s counselling service to students at Southwark College for several years.

As a Young People’s Counsellor, you’ll provide an age-appropriate counselling service that allows the students to explore their mental health and wellbeing, along with the socioeconomic factors that impact this. You’ll manage a caseload of students, triaging new clients to the service, coordinating the waiting list and capturing data and outcome measures on a CRM database.

We are looking for someone with a professionally-recognised diploma or equivalent in Counselling or Psychotherapy who has experience of providing counselling to young people aged 14 upwards. As you’ll be working closely with pastoral staff on-site, an ability to work independently but collaboratively, to be proactive and show initiative is essential for this role.

The role will involve:

• Offering age-appropriate counselling sessions, including assessments and risk assessments 
• Working with teachers and pastoral staff to ensure that students are triaged and the relevant level of care and support is offered
• Record keeping: maintaining up-to-date records of work undertaken, including session notes, service records and Views CRM database records
• Contributing to quarterly monitoring reports, including reflections on key themes and issues experienced by students, case studies, and outcome measurement tools
• Liaising where appropriate with other SEL Mind staff, school/college staff or agencies including local statutory and voluntary sector professionals and organisations
• Attendance at regular supervisions with the Head of Services and meeting with other Young People’s Counsellors to keep abreast of key issues and needs across the service

To be successful in this role, you will be a motivated, flexible individual, who is passionate about working with young people around their sexual health. The postholder will conduct outreach, education, and training in several settings depending on the need of different young people. These could be educational settings, youth settings, community events, sports settings, clubs and pubs. You will target vulnerable young people, such as Looked after Children (LAC), those who are Not in Education, Employment, or Training (NEET), those who come from areas of high deprivation and high need, and those with other increased risk factors, as well as young people aged 13-15 who are not yet able to access online services. 

 As part of your frontline work, you will encourage young people to sign up for a C-card, and if aged over 16, register to Get It in order to order condoms and lube from the website. When appropriate, you will refer young people into appropriate local sexual health services for contraception, emergency contraception, pregnancy testing, STI screening and treatment.

Programme

METRO work closely with our partner Spectra to deliver sexual health services in the London Boroughs of Wandsworth, Richmond, Merton and Kingston. In these Boroughs, METRO deliver the Come Correct free condom scheme (C-card), the National Chlamydia Screening Programme (NCSP) as well as Get It, an online scheme which offers condoms, lube, Chlamydia and Gonorrhoea screens.

METRO also delivers training and education, aimed at both young people and professionals working with young people, as well as community outreach and engagement to reach young people directly- particularly those who are most vulnerable to sexual ill health.

Essential Experience, Knowledge and Competencies: 

• Prior experience of working in a similar role (min 2 years) 

• Accounting qualification (e.g.  AAT Level 3 or above, ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or Qualified by Experience 

• Experience with IT systems – Office365, Shared drives 

• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, including the ability to present financial reports and information effectively to a wide variety of audiences.

About the role:

Respect is looking to expand our Operations team with this new Operations Officer role. We’ve just secured five years of National Lottery funding to create a brand-new Community Hub in Bexley. This will be a truly shared space—designed with and for our members—where people with a learning disability, autistic people, and the wider community can come together, connect, and grow.

About the role

 As Community Hub Co-ordinator, you’ll lead the launch and development of this exciting new space. You’ll manage the day-to-day running of the Hub, support and line-manage a small team (including staff with lived experience of learning disability or autism), and co-design a wide variety of services, events, and partnerships with our members and community.

You’ll also work with other local organisations and charities to expand the support on offer—exploring exciting ideas like social enterprises, creative groups, advice drop-ins or a community café. This is a hands-on role. Some days you’ll be welcoming people and helping with a session, other days you’ll be planning future activities, liaising with partners, or exploring funding ideas. No two days will be the same.

About You

 You’re proactive, passionate, and organised. You love bringing people together, creating welcoming spaces, and making things happen.

You’ll have experience of managing community-facing services, working with diverse groups (ideally including people with learning disabilities or autistic people), and leading a team.

You’re happy rolling up your sleeves to get things done—and you’re confident developing new ideas, building partnerships, and planning activities.  Being a car driver is a plus (but not essential), and some evening or weekend working may be required. Barnardo's Community Wellbeing Team offers an exciting opportunity to join an established service who are supporting children and young poeple who are experiencing difficulties with their emotional health and wellbeing. The Community Wellbeing Teamare funded by the Surrey Wellbeing Partnership and work in partnership with Mindworks (Formally Camhs) . 

Barnardo's Community Wellbeing Team offers support to children and young people through both 1:1 interventions and group work. The Wellbeing Mentors use a strength based approach to work alongside young poeple to support their emotional wellbeing and mental health. Support is offered throughout the community, in family homes, online, schools and public places. The service provides support to children and young poeple who reside throughout Surrey in the following counties; Waverley, Surrey Heath, Woking and Spelthorne,  therefore a full UK driving licence and access to your own car is a must for this role. 

Due to the nature of this work you will hold a small caseload of children and young people which will enable you to build good relationships with the families and through your support will help them effect meaningful change.

You will have experience of working with children and young people and will be required to deliver direct interventions with a range of difficulties and needs. 

You will have a good understanding of emotional literacy and feel confident in supporting children and young people through the use of various therapeutic interventions.
