Community Coach
As a member of the Community Team, you will provide vital support to people who have completed our course in prison and are now in the community working to find the stability they need to realise their potential, achieve their goals and rebuild their lives after prison.
This is an exciting time to join our Community Team as we look to broaden and deepen the support we offer participants as they leave prison. You will help shape our offer to participants; drawing on your experiences and creativity and working with our other Community Coaches to trial new approaches.
Partnership working plays an important part of the role, and you’ll get to connect with employers, partners and statutory organisations to support participants as they build a life after prison.
This role would be ideal for someone with a good understanding of the challenges faced by those caught up in the criminal justice system, gained through personal experience, paid work or volunteering. This role does require the successful candidate to work in prison and clear prison security to hold keys.

Purpose of role
Based in our offices in Knightsbridge, London, the Programme Manager will have experience in grant-making or in relevant non-profit or policy sectors, and an interest in social and environmental causes globally. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to make a significant contribution to tackling climate change and poverty, in a predominantly office-based role. You would be joining a tight-knit team working in a fun, innovative and flexible environment.
Primary responsibilities
- Managing an existing portfolio of livelihoods and climate grants, i.e. owning the relationship with the NGOs, following their progress, overseeing the financial and legal aspects of the grant, and reporting to the Chair. A lot of this can be achieved through desk-based work, calls and meetings, but sometimes we need to travel to see our partners’ work in person.
- Making recommendations on grant renewals, by carrying out detailed analysis of the NGOs and the impact of the grants and working towards their approval by the board of directors.
- Exploring new grant opportunities under the strategic direction of the Foundation’s Chair.
- Maintaining, strengthening and growing the Foundation’s international network of foundations, subject experts, social intermediaries and service providers.
- Carrying out administrative tasks that are shared across the Programme Team, which could include financial reporting and website management.
Experience
- Strong academic background with a degree in a relevant field (postgraduate degree preferred) or equivalent professional experience.
- At least 5 years’ work experience in grant-making, or in relevant non-profit or policy sectors.
- Strong interest in international development and climate change, and a willingness to keep learning about new sectors, geographies and solutions.
- Fluency in English with excellent writing and communication/presentation skills.
- Assertiveness and confidence working with people and building trust-based relationships – in person, on the phone and on email with grantees, the team and board.
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Ability and willingness to hit the ground running and take direction.
- Team player who likes being part of a small team and gladly pitches in on any task, big or small.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel.

We are recruiting for a Senior Campaigner in our Campaigning & Mobilisation department.
What’s the role about
Our systems change campaigns work tackles big, complex problems facing nature and climate over the long-term. The current focus is to drive systemic change that creates the right conditions for nature-friendly farming to prosper. You will focus campaigning pressure wherever it can be exerted to best effect – and not always at governments, but also at other key actors. Through the campaigns you develop you will help us realise large-scale positive change for nature and climate that builds and builds.
The campaigns you help develop will have multiple elements, offering our phenomenal supporters a range of ways to get involved. Their supporter journey will deepen engagement and empowerment of individual campaigners over time, equipping them to tackle these complex problems in their own way.
As part of a dispersed team, you could be based anywhere in the UK, so long as you’re able to travel to central locations to get together with colleagues, and on occasion to meet with colleagues in Cardiff, Belfast, Edinburgh and Birmingham.
In this role, key activities will include:
- Co-creating and delivering systems change campaigns on behalf of the RSPB, working collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation.
- Responsibility to roll out systems change campaigns in two of the four countries of the UK (with another Senior Campaigner covering the other two).
- Recruiting and line managing professional volunteers to provide expert guidance or deliver campaigns.
- Building key internal and external relationships to support development and delivery of systems change campaigns.

This will help build relationships, break down silos, and make working together online easier and more enjoyable. This co-location will usually be at an RSPB office and will be agreed in advance. Job Purpose
We have an opportunity to fill a brand-new role within our charity for our new perinatal project supporting the partners of birthing parents.
We are looking for an outreach worker, to work alongside colleagues in the Perinatal Mental Health Service team at West London NHS Trust to:

- Develop a resource collecting local referral and signposting opportunities relevant to the service user group.
- Keep up to date about current best practices and legislation within mental health, as well as within the field of perinatal mental health.
- Provide updates and feedback to the broader HFEH Mind team and West London NHS Trust Perinatal Mental Health Service team.
- To record details of all client referrals and contacts to ensure client information is kept up to date.
- Record the results of outcome assessments and satisfaction surveys on the database.
- Ensure you comply with safeguarding, suicide prevention, self-harm and GDPR regulations/practice.
You will have:
- Experience of working within the NHS or with the NHS.
- Experience of perinatal mental health.
- Experience of developing and delivering new services.
- Experience working in an agile working environment and being able to demonstrate a commitment to improving processes.
- Demonstrable commitment to collaboration and team working.
- Empathy with and understanding of the mental health sector.

This role will play a key role in a hugely successful partnerships team, managing a portfolio of diverse Charity of the Year, grant giving, strategic and commercial relationships to build sustainable, strategic relationships. Key duties include:
- Managing a mixed portfolio of engaged corporate partners, ensuring that agreed targets and objectives are met and exceeded.
- Working seamlessly across the Partnerships and wider fundraising team to strengthen Dementia UK’s partnership offering in terms of partnership delivery, supporting renewals and the new business and onboarding process.
- Line managing a Corporate Partnerships Executive and acting as a leader within the Corporate Partnerships management team.
- Take an active role in promoting and implementing Dementia UK’s ‘Dementia at Work’ offering, supporting partners to access appropriate care and guidance for their employees and customers.
We’re looking for the following skills and experience:
- Experience of managing 6 figure corporate partnerships in a charitable setting
- Experience of working with a wide range of stakeholders within a company, and ideally with experience of encouraging fundraising participation and involvement at all levels.
- Experience of preparing engaging proposals, reports and other written documents.
- Experience of developing detailed partnership plans.
- Experience of managing, influencing and negotiating with senior stakeholders.

This role will play a critical part in the success of the small but driven fundraising department at Ark and will contribute towards their target of raising £3 million per year. The postholder will work to support the fundraising efforts of Ark’s 39 schools, managing a portfolio of small to medium trust applications up to £10k, developing inspiring cases, and working to achieve agreed income targets. This role will also involve prospect research, with the postholder identifying and segmenting potential donors. You will also manage relationships with various internal departments and the schools’ network to gain support for funding proposals and reports.
To be successful in the role of Trust Fundraising Officer, you will need:
- An understanding of trusts fundraising, grant management and what is needed for successful applications up to £10,00
- Reporting and budgetary knowledge to support input into grant applications and financial monitoring processes, with proficiency in prospect research.
- Excellent communication skills with the authority to inspire, with strong persuasive and negotiating skills resulting in positive outcomes.
