We’re recruiting for a Fundraising Project Lead to join Samaritans. You’ll work in a small & friendly team to lead and deliver a programme of virtual fundraising challenges  and with plans to grow our current virtual flagship event to include an in-person element. You’ll lead a  ‘best in class’ stewardship programme, with engaging content and communications that support participants to maximise their fundraising and build lasting relationships with Samaritans.

You’ll have previous event management or community fundraising experience, within the charity sector. You’ll have experience of managing moderating an online community and excellent project management and written communication skills.

The Person

We are looking for a people person with the ability to lead, develop and support large groups of fundraisers. You’ll have exceptional project and time management skills. You’ll need to be an excellent communicator, be adaptable to changing priorities and have a good understanding of online communities and digital fundraising. You’ll have experience of working with charity supporters in a fundraising environment and an understanding of databases and processes.

You’ll join a passionate and supportive team of experienced individuals, all with the same common goal – of futureproofing our international digital services footprint. 

We’re rolling out a cutting edge CCAAS platform (Amazon Connect) which is the central digital platform for contact services including online chat and voice). This platform will be used to deliver a phone call every 10 seconds to our 20,000 volunteers, 24/7 hours per day, 365 days per year. Your role will help to reduce the number of people who die by suicide.

You’ll be a strong people manager, understand about rolling out service management frameworks such as an information technology infrastructure library (ITIL) and be familiar with service desk operations and IT service management. You’ll be passionate about understanding all of the integration points across a vast network of carriers, platforms, vendors and quality assurance partners.

About SCEC

SCEC was founded over twenty years ago to provide learning enrichment opportunities to primary school children in disadvantaged communities in south London. Together with our partners, several leading independent schools, we currently operate four schemes in math, literacy, science and art. Children learn through fun, engaging group activities like science experiments, storytelling and mathematical treasure hunts, all taught by qualified teachers with added support from student mentors. Through the schemes, children explore their curiosity, build knowledge and develop their confidence as learners.

Your Role

The Scheme Director is a newly created role that will be pivotal in helping SCEC extend its reach. Reporting to the Board of Trustees, you will help SCEC design and implement an expansion programme as well as coordinating the delivery of the existing schemes via our school partners. You will also serve as a trusted partner to the Board in the administration of the charity.

Similar to a COO, this role straddles the operational and the strategic. About the team

We’ve seen some incredibly significant changes in Shelter over the past four years, with a radical shift in our organisational strategy and the consequent need to change our ways of working fundamentally. About you

You’ll have experience of designing and delivering internal communications and engagement plans, as well as being able to implement a range of techniques to engage diverse audiences in organisational change. You’ll know what drives engagement, how to nurture strengths and deliver areas for improvement. What’s more, you’ll have knowledge about developing and integrating organisational values and behaviours and you’ll have experience of implementing listening strategies, including managing a framework of tools to capture views.

You’re adept at developing excellent relationships and can interact effectively with diverse internal audiences. You’ll be confident in devising research, analysing data and creating summary reports. As well as having experience of managing projects and producing events, you’ll also have advanced digital skills and knowledge of tools to communicate effectively. Bromley Mental Health Hub forms part of the community transformation of mental health services in the London Borough of Bromley under the NHS Long-Term Plan. The service brings together the expertise of local primary, secondary and voluntary sector mental health care providers with the aim of providing flexible, holistic and integrated services for adults with mental health problems.

We are looking for a Mental Health Advisor with experience of working within mental health services, including to support prevention, recovery and self-management. Applicants should have experience in completing assessments, managing a diverse caseload and working in a busy work environment, and possess effective skills in communication. Role Requirements

• Support planning and changes in the administration of children and young people’s timetable for children and family services.
• Support with photocopying of notes for subject access/ solicitor requests (SARS).
• Manage the SARS and redacting process with appropriate members of the Therapies teams.
• Update logs and coordinate the Clinical and Safeguarding Supervision across the Therapies teams, escalating non-compliance where required.
• Monitor mandatory training compliance and administer booking processes for all relevant training sessions/course.
• Coordinating specialist clinics, including spine and hip clinics; liaising with the Physiotherapy team to ensure the correct children are on the schedule. Liaison with external Consultants to organise the clinic lists.
• Carry out audiotyping of clinic letters and distribute as required.
• Update absences within the teams onto the SMI (staff care) system, as requested by the Heads of Service.
• Place orders for any required equipment and/or resources for departments and for the children and young people as deemed necessary.
• Take overview of clinical asset ordering, linking with the clinical assets team and management system, in line with MHRA guidelines and the medical devices policy.
• Track and monitor equipment orders with Heads of service, escalate delays and provide a central overview for all equipment re-charges and ordering.
• Raise and receipt PO’s and invoices for the therapies directorate and liaise closely with the finance team.
• Undertake other or additional duties that are within your skills and abilities, as the organisation may reasonably require from time to time.

With experience of working in a complex environment, across a large and diverse workforce, you will be exceptionally organised with a high-level of attention to detail. You will naturally possess excellent inter-personal skills, and an ability to consult and positively engage with key stakeholders across the organisation.

About this role

This new role sits within our People & Funding team, aiming to support income growth and diversification, and resilience across the community rail movement. It’s an exciting opportunity to join a proactive, innovative organisation championing a unique cause, and advance your fundraising career.

The role does not have any direct reports but will work closely with our senior leadership team, events & fundraising manager and member support team, in support of our funding strategy and objectives.

Main responsibilities

• Provide account management to existing and new corporate relationships, nurturing effective, lasting relationships that help community rail to deliver on its aims around community development, sustainable travel, and inclusion.
• Carry out prospect research to identify new corporate supporters and relevant grant streams, and be proactive in developing new leads and connections.
• Liaise with, listen and pitch to existing and new funding leads to: understand our common interests and opportunities for working together to benefit community rail; convey the value they can derive from working with us or upping their support; and secure their ongoing commitment. 
• Explore and develop joint grant bids by liaising with colleagues, our members and potential external partners to support grant applications that align with our strategic aims.
• Work cross-team and draw on member and partner insights to understand key funding needs and opportunities and create strong funding proposals and budgets in support of these.
• Work closely with the director of people and funding to develop our funding strategy and achieve success against our funding objectives.
• Help to build a strong fundraising culture and ethos across the organisation, and wider community rail movement, including feeding expert advice and input into our member support team, training and events.
• Participate and contribute to our wider work, in particular helping us to use key events and campaigns such as our Community Rail Awards, to support fundraising.
• Develop, monitor and maintain key systems and processes, such as effective funder reporting and review meetings, and monitoring and reporting on fundraising KPIs.

Skills, competencies and experience

1. Skills and experience in third sector fundraising, preferably including corporate fundraising, funder reporting and grants, along with a broad understanding of the full fundraising mix and confidence in identifying and developing new opportunities.
2. A demonstrable proactive approach to engaging with new and existing funders to set up and continually develop lasting relationships that support a cause.
3. Ability to prepare high-quality funding proposals/grant applications and reports, adapting the communication style for different audiences and stakeholders to maximise impact.
4. A skilled communicator (verbal and written) who can gather information and enthuse individuals both internally and externally.
5. The ability to effectively manage multiple and competing priorities to meet deadlines.
6. Appreciation of and commitment to community development, empowerment and sustainability, and the value of community engagement in relation to transport.
7. Excellent organisational skills with firm understanding of KPIs, targets, budgeting, and risk mitigation plans.
8. Proactive, positive and self-motivated, able to work on own initiative and inspire and enthuse others, and overcome hurdles to achieve results.
9. IT literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, the internet and social media.

Other information

This post is home-based, but with some travel (including occasional overnight stays) for team meetings, events and external meetings. This is a permanent position and includes a probationary period of three months from the date of appointment. The post holder will be responsible for running the logistics required for a disperse network of charity shops, including the supply and distribution of stock; management of suppliers, landlords and associated stakeholders and ensuring that all compliance requirements are fulfilled. The role will also support the delivery of the retail strategy to drive income growth and increase footfall and to support new business initiatives.  

With experience of working in a complex environment, across a large and diverse workforce, you will be exceptionally organised with a high-level of attention to detail. You will naturally possess excellent inter-personal skills, and an ability to consult and positively engage with key stakeholders across the organisation.

About the role:

The Advice Service Manager is responsible for all advice team operations and developing the Kinship advice pathway.

You’ll manage a team to deliver a consistent, high quality and effective service. You’ll be responsible for developing and implementing systems and monitoring service quality and performance.

Continuously improving the service, embracing digital solutions and creating efficiencies and processes to drive performance, you’ll increase our ability to provide more support to kinship carers across England and Wales.

You’ll ensure that kinship carers are able to access the information and advice they need in an accessible and consistent way within a clear operational framework.

Key responsibilities include:

• Deliver high quality, targeted and tailored advice to kinship carers in England and Wales.
• Develop a service framework that delivers a consistent service within clear timeframes.
• Set out clear expectations for enquiry response across all channels.
• Manage daily advice line operations, including work on cases, data and continuous improvement.
• Act as deputy designated safeguarding officer (DDSO) providing clear advice on actions needed when safeguarding concerns are raised.
• Develop and manage a high performing team.

Essential criteria includes:

• Substantial working knowledge of advice service delivery frameworks.
• Working knowledge of call handling and client record systems.
• Working knowledge of assessing the needs of individuals (e.g. social care, financial and legal) to provide appropriate advice and information.

Women V Cancer is a unique partnership between Dream Challenges, Breast Cancer Now and Ovarian Cancer Action. Together, we have raised more than £20 million in fundraising across a portfolio of one day mass participation cycling events and overseas multi-day cycling challenges.

The partnership has big aspirations for growth and is looking for someone to join as a Fundraising and Partnerships Officer with key responsibilities in relationship management across the partners, reporting and analysis, events marketing, and participant stewardship.

The right candidate will be a self-driven and experienced fundraiser, whose knowledge of marketing strategies in fundraising and events, alongside an impactful supporter journey, can enable the development and growth of this long-standing partnership. Key Areas 

Marketing and stewardship

• Increase participant numbers on events through comprehensive and diverse marketing campaigns.
• Assist in digital advertising of events including creations of social media campaigns and PPC.
• Assisting in maintenance and digital creation on the branded WVC microsite.
• Develop the partnerships first user-generated video content campaigns, and influencer campaigners, alongside the group Digital Marketing Manager.

• Work with the Marketing team and representatives from each of the charities to undertake campaign reporting, as well as post-event analysis including, but not limited to, audience insight and feedback, engagement and attendance rates, and fundraising per participant. 
• Establishing a clear payment schedule for both sides for marketing contributions and donations.
• Track performance including registration numbers and income – reporting back to all parties.
• Undertake analysis work to improve understanding of current audience demographics and their interests, reviewing this regularly to ensure accuracy.
• Undertake regular competitor analysis work to scope trends and gaps in the marketplace – looking at how we benchmark ourselves against our competitors.
• Support on the strategic planning devised by all partners, providing insight learnt from the portfolio and audience analysis to help shape this.

General 

• Keep up to date with sector knowledge to ensure best practice. 
• Identify new trends and scope out new product development. 
• Support all elements of event delivery (including volunteer recruitment, training weekends), attending UK and overseas events when required.
• Help identify and build relationships with relevant celebrities or influencers to contribute to the Women V Cancer marketing strategy

The South East London Suicide Bereavement Service is a collaboration between South East London Mind, South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust, and Mind in Bexley. The service provides vital emotional and practical support to adults and young people who have lost a loved one to suicide. You will be joining a supportive team who share a passion for working with people during some of the most difficult experiences of their lives.

We are looking for a compassionate, reflective and resilient individual to fill the key role of Suicide Bereavement Support Worker. Your primary responsibilities will be to deliver one-to-one emotional and practical support and co-facilitate occasional bereavement support groups. This role involves building relationships with people from all walks of life and managing your own caseload. You will have ownership over your work, while being supported through regular supervision and reflective practice.

With experience providing emotional support, including to those who have experienced bereavement, you will be an excellent communicator with good assessment and support planning skills. You will also be highly organised and able to manage a busy and varied workload. The ability to adapt your approach to a wide variety of people, ensuring that support is inclusive and sensitive to service users’ cultural and religious backgrounds, is essential. This role involves meeting clients in the community, including carrying out home visits. Although it is possible to fulfil the travel requirements of the role by public transport, this would best suit someone with access to their own mode of transport, such as a car or bicycle.

We encourage applications from people with lived experience of bereavement by suicide, although this is not a requirement for the role.

Thousands of vulnerable children pass through UK railway stations every day. Most of us wouldn’t even spot that they were in danger. 

As Railway Children’s Community Engagement Worker (London), you will energise key stakeholders to come together to collectively keep vulnerable young people safe on the rail network. You will build and strengthen partnerships with – and between – the rail industry, British Transport Police (BTP) and others working locally with vulnerable young people in order to drive forward innovative approaches to contextual safeguarding.

As part of a dynamic team delivering the Safeguarding on Transport (ST) project, you will be responsible for developing our community engagement work in the London Area as well as supporting our wider UK programme.  The role will require you to engage the public and work closely with British Transport Police, station staff and employees as well as local services in the area. You will support our innovative Safeguarding Action Groups that catalyse communities working in and around London’s stations to combine efforts and resources to keep people safe.

We are recruiting for a Communications Manager who will report to the Head of Advocacy & Communications and work closely with others in the team including one direct report.

The Advocacy & Communications Team works to support all area of our work including our Stop It Now helpline and programmes, our Shore website and support for young people, our paid services including training, assessments, intervention and consultancy as well as our advocacy, fundraising, research and teams in Scotland and Wales.

You will be responsible for project managing communications for our different services, teams and brands. You will develop, manage and deliver communication plans for these areas, working with operational colleagues to make the most of their expertise.

You will lead proactive reactive national, regional and trade press engagements across the charity. This includes a high-profile national campaign and several other projects vital to our success, identifying  and developing newsworthy angles.

You will maintain existing relationships with journalists and build new ones to raise support of our work and advocate for the importance of preventing child sexual abuse. You will support and develop the skills of our spokespeople and work with case studies to make sure their stories are told in a sensitive and engaging way.

You will also be responsible for our blog posts and growing that audience proactively finding opportunities to shine a ilght on all areas of our work.
