We have a vacancy for a People Business Partner working within the People Business Partnering function and wider People Directorate.

Reporting to the Head of People Business Partnering, this role will be a vital link between the People Business Partners, Human Resources Operations and Learning and Organisation Development teams. We are looking for somebody with knowledge of the Business Partner role whose skills will meet the flexible needs of the business, who is able to oversee the end-to-end delivery of work and someone who can work on multiple activities at a time. The People Business Partner role aligns and works in partnership with the respective Directorate/business area to add value through the provisions of a range of people initiatives and interventions linked to Directorate and organisational objectives and priorities. 

Working as part of the People Business Partnering team, the role will support ongoing transformational change by providing business insight, manage business and people risks and develop people solutions.

This role will support the development and implementation of the Delivering our Strategy Sustainably work that underpins the RSPB wider business strategy and priorities.

The core part of the role of a People Business Partner is the ability to develop effective working relationships that influence across a range of stakeholders up to Leadership and Executive level.  In addition, People Business Partners are expected to work collaboratively across functional areas and Directorates in the successful delivery of people services, initiatives, and outcomes.

Through providing support to senior managers and leadership teams, People Business Partners play a key role in planning, developing, and identifying solutions that create value and ensure organisational and Directorate level strategies are realised.

Some key areas of the role of a People Business Partner include:

• The use of Insight & Data to support decision making.
• Understand Directorate/business complexities and specific requirements and be able to act on these for purposes of People and business planning.
• Identify resourcing plans in collaboration with senior management to ensure the effective supply of high-quality talent.
• Support Talent and Succession planning to ensure the organisation can retain and develop talent in line with business capability requirements in the immediate and future term.
• Provide transformational advice on a wide range of organisational development and change management initiatives and interventions.
• Actively support the delivery of HR People services across the organisation, reducing risks and enhancing people services and activities.

About the Administrator

At the National Garden Scheme a small central office with a team of 13 is the hub for a wide range of activity involving hundreds of volunteers, thousands of garden owners and a large audience of beneficiary charities, suppliers, supporters and partners, and members of the public who want to visit gardens and engage with the charity.

The administrator is the first point of contact for many of these, being responsible for answering the main telephone line and managing the general email inbox. They are also responsible for managing the office environment on behalf of their colleagues.

In normal years, they also carry out the administration of certain annual events and projects including our annual lecture and presence at the Chelsea Flower Show. 

The right candidate ideally will have some experience as an administrator or receptionist and will be comfortable in a busy, hands-on and varied role. Key responsibilities

The Senior Practical Support Officer role is key to the delivery of NCVO’s support for small charities. You will be a key part of a small team, with a focus on managing and responding to enquiries that come in via phone and email to our Small Charity Helpdesk. We receive 400 – 500 enquiries a month about setting up and running a charity, with a particular focus on volunteering and governance.

Alongside the helpdesk you will also work with colleagues across NCVO on the production, and curation of content for our website and with internal and external stakeholders to produce sector leading practical webinars.

You will have a particular focus on volunteering, working with multiple stakeholders on a range of cross-organisational initiatives to ensure we develop and share best practice on involving volunteers.

Your good working knowledge of the voluntary sector, understanding of the specific needs of small charities and sharp focus on delivering excellent customer service will help us to effectively respond to the needs of the sector.

This is fast paced role and with good time management and attention to detail this role has a lasting/meaningful impact on the hundreds of charities we support.

Your role

We’re looking for an experienced social media professional who has the expertise to lead the delivery of the RNLI’s social media strategy and approaches across both paid and organic, advising and supporting a wide range of stakeholders at all levels of an organisation in order to help save lives at sea.

As Senior Social Media Manager, key responsibilities include:

• Overseeing the delivery of paid and organic content, as well as community management, across our channels
• Line managing a team of social media specialists
• Providing strategic and outcomes-focused responses to marketing briefs
• Driving forward social media fundraising for the RNLI
• Procuring, implementing and managing relevant social media tools and software
• Innovating in the social media space, including launching new channels
• Leading on the social media elements of crisis communication responses

We are a 24/7 emergency service. You will be required to occasionally be part of the social media rota system which includes shifts between 9am-8pm (Monday to Friday) and some weekend working.

Hybrid with the expectation to travel to Poole once a month.

About you

To be considered for the Senior Social Media Manager role, you will have substantial experience leading on organic and paid content and the strategic use of social media within a large organisation, as well as experience of line management and stakeholder management.

Our Head of Children, Young People and Families leads the work of our Children, Young People and Families (CYPF) service and the Building Young Brixton (BYB) Partnership, and is a key part of the Senior Leadership team at High Trees, helping us achieve our ambitions across the board.

Our Children, Youth and Families work serves the Tulse Hill and wider Lambeth community, operating from our dedicated youth and play site at Tulse Hill Adventure Playground, where the CYPF team are based. We deliver a multi-faceted and integrated service allowing us to provide seamless support for children and young people from 8-18, including daily after school and weekend open access adventure play sessions, community and school based mentoring programmes, a work experience and youth leadership programme, and youth social action projects. We also deeply value collaboration with other youth and community organisations, and as Head of CYPF, you will also lead and contribute to a number of
youth partnerships that we manage, including Building Young Brixton. This will require demonstrable experience of running a multifaceted service – delivering several projects and programmes simultaneously and managing a team of staff – with the strong organisational, people skills and a collaborative approach that this requires. You will lead the project managing an assistant and also overseeing venue leaders and a team of volunteers.

You will be first point of contact for guests and be main point of referral for external partners.

Our vision is to see people move on into more settled accommodation so you will coordinate the involvement of external partners and signpost accordingly.

We are accountable and responsible for gathering, analysing, contributing, and mobilising evidence and insight to strengthen the case for dementia across the UK - bringing this to bear to our people in Alzheimer’s Society and the dementia system locally and nationally.
We are evidence and data-driven, factual, and solution-focused.  Our strategic evidence base will ensure that Society’s decisions and interpretation of dementia and the system are based on the highest quality of dementia evidence and will:

- Demonstrate the scale of dementia in the UK.
- Demonstrate the impact of dementia on the system and those affected by the disease.
- Underpin the response of Alzheimer’s Society and the wider system to the big challenges dementia poses.

As our Strategic Evidence Assistant, you will support the Strategic Evidence team in gathering, analysing, contributing, and mobilising evidence, data, and insight to help build and curate a strategic evidence base that is built on the most recent and best available dementia evidence. You will also be part of an even larger Evidence, Policy and Influencing function, which is laser-focused on ending the devastation of dementia through changing policy. Integration and teamwork are everything in this role – with colleagues internally and with the system externally.
You will:

- Contribute to the delivery and monitoring of evidence projects that help to build our strategic evidence base, including reviewing and gathering different types of evidence to help us understand the scale and impact of dementia across the UK.
 
- Be pivotal in making strategic evidence for everyone’s business – to our people and the external dementia system. You will be solution-focused, supporting and monitoring processes and activities to mobilise and deploy our strategic evidence.
 
- Use your understanding of our strategic evidence base to support the preparation of briefings, reports, and other creative assets.
  - Support integrated working across the Evidence, Policy and Influencing department, working alongside Policy, and Influencing assistants, with a particular focus on facilitating events, monitoring, internal and external communications and database management.

We have a new opening for a Data Officer to join Animals Asia, working within their Data, Technology and Insight Team and reporting to the CRM and Data Manager.
