You will be an essential addition to a supportive Finance and Operations team. It is essential that you have experience of general accounting skills and be comfortable working to different deadlines. Key responsibilities

• Support the Finance team with monthly bank reconciliation statements for UK bank accounts as required
• Process supplier invoices and staff expense claims

• Process monthly credit card expenditure and undertake monthly reconciliation of accounts in QuickBooks.
• Support the processing of internet and cheque donations

About the Service 
Hertfordshire Mind Network has had a Domestic Abuse Service in Three Rivers since 2017. The aim of the Domestic Abuse Casework Service is to provide advice, information, and support to survivors of intimate partner or familial violence living in the community about the range, effectiveness, and suitability of options to improve their safety and that of their children. All advice will be based on a thorough understanding and assessment of risk and its management.

About the Role 
You will be line managed by the Domestic Abuse Service Team Leader for Hertfordshire Mind Network but will manage your own workload, prioritising tasks and working on your own initiative.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the wellbeing of clients who are affected by domestic abuse.
• Improve risk management and safety for clients
• To remain a source of independent support for all clients
• Contribute to a reduction in repeat victimisation
• Reduce the number of victims withdrawals of witness statements
• Increase the reporting of children at risk of harm
• Put any necessary safeguards in place
• Increase successful court outcomes by proactively supporting clients
• Work with other professionals e.g. police, health, social care, housing, and signpost and liaise with such agencies as necessary
• To agree and record safety plans made with clients as well as suggesting other alternate appropriate areas of support to ensure clients are receiving some sort of support or engagement with services.
• Receive referrals and undertake appropriate risk assessments and make direct contact within 48 hours of referral.
• To refer to the Multi Agency Risk Assessment Conference (MARAC) if required and local IDVA service.
• Work with the wider team within Hertfordshire Mind Network and support clients in accessing additional support e.g. counselling, peer support, employment support and self-development courses.

You will line manage the Grants and Trusts Officer, and will need to develop strong relationships with the Delivery team, so you can match their funding needs to the right funder and get the right information from them to ensure a high quality of reporting.

Other key responsibilities will include:

· Overseeing a pipeline of grants and trusts applications, re-applications and reporting

· Working closely with the Delivery team to ensure the right bids are being submitted

· Working with the Impact and Insight Officer to shape monitoring and evaluation strategy and practice

· Leading tours and face-to-face and online meetings with Foundation staff and Trustees

· Working within the broader Fundraising team, supporting colleagues and department-wide projects

About you:

To be successful in the role of Grants and Trusts Manager you will have experience of trust and grant bid writing within a professional setting.

You will also need to bring with you the following skills and experience:

· Produce compelling asks and proposals in line with the charity's objectives and the funders requirements

· Experience of gathering, understanding and presenting complex information and data

· Experience of working within a charity fundraising environment

· Experience of cultivating relationships with funders, both via verbal and written methods of communication

· Ability to prioritise tasks, manage own time and achieve strict / multiple deadlines

· High level of IT competence, excellent internet research skills and database management

· Motivated to improve young people’s lives for the better

About the Project

Hertfordshire Mind Network is proud to provide early intervention support to children and young people experiencing poor mental health across Hertfordshire. We provide a combination of support through psychoeducational workshops, open access, 1:1 and group support.

We are expanding our provision, to offer drop in, open access community support to 10–18-year-olds across the county who need someone to talk to about their mental health in that moment. This space will offer timely support, in a person-centred, trauma informed way.

The objectives of Hertfordshire Mind Network’s Herts Haven Café service are:

• To improve the mental wellbeing of children and young people experiencing mental health issues, including crisis presentations, in Hertfordshire.
• To provide drop in, no referral required, timely support to 10-18 year olds.
• To support children and young people in Hertfordshire to access community based mental health help.
• To increase early access to help for people experiencing mental health crisis in Hertfordshire, by providing a clear and effective pathway to services provided across the CYP MHS system.

About the Role:

The key purpose of this post is to be an integral member of staff delivering the Herts Haven Café service, facilitating drop-in mental health support for children and young people aged 10-18. As a practitioner you will meet the varying needs of the individual, as they present, meaning no day may look the same.

A person-centred approach will be maintained, and this role is pivotal to ensuring CYP have a warm and welcoming space to turn to. You will be working as a team to facilitate support, deliver brief mental health interventions, signposting, and ensure timely information, guidance and referrals are provided for ongoing support.

Key Responsibilities

• To play an integral role in instilling HMN’s values throughout the Herts Haven Cafe Service.
• To play a key part in the development and delivery of quality CYP mental health support services.
• To provide consistent and clear communication to the team, working proactively and with initiative.
• To be part of a cooperative and collaborative team that is flexible and adaptable to changing requirements.
• To deliver 1:1 and group interventions, depending on need, flexibly and creatively.
• To ensure that every individual accessing the service receives, safe and trusted support.
• To create and review risk assessments, wellness plans, crisis support plans, safety plans, as well as signposting resources, as required.
• To proactively recognise indicators of deteriorating mental health and facilitate appropriate action, whilst liaising with relevant agencies e.g., C-CATT, Emergency Duty Teams, CYP MHS, etc.
• To work alongside Crisis Teams in line with joint protocols, where required, to support those individuals experiencing a mental health crisis.
• To signpost and refer effectively into other Herts Mind Network services, as well as alternative VCFSE and statutory organisations.
