You'll support the digital transformation of the employability service by developing new and innovative ways to share information, advice and guidance with candidates. Initially this will take the format of webinars, workshops, web pages and short-form video content and has the capacity to grow and change as the digital strategy progresses.

You'll work closely with colleagues to deliver on the wider aims of the employability service by supporting the delivery of information, advice and guidance to autistic young people aged 18-25. You'll support autistic candidates to secure paid internships, apprenticeships and employment, supporting an online community of candidates to ensure that Employ Autism activities are guided by candidates' needs and wants.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Specialist knowledge of delivering employment information, advice and guidance on a one-to-one and group basis.
• Experience of working with autistic young people to provide information, advice and guidance.
• Knowledge of recruitment and employability barriers for autistic young people.
• Experience of delivering individual and group activities such as one-to-one meetings, webinars and workshops through online/remote delivery.

• Ensuring that all requests and 1st & 2nd level queries (phone, email and in-person) are responded to promptly and effectively including providing tours of the Centre to prospective members.
• Interacting with members on a daily basis, delivering a superb experience
• Full responsibly for bookings & payments for all Classes, Clubs, activities, services, membership fees, etc. on the online system the Centre uses (training will be provided)
• Promoting all membership, classes, clubs, activities, special events and services with respective prices and availability to members and visitors
• Processing applications for membership and volunteers as per the Centre’s process.
• Managing drop-in activities which take place weekdays from 9 am to 12 noon. 
• Organising room setup requirements for activities, especially classes, meetings and events
• Maintaining the professional appearance of the office at all times, including ensuring front office filing systems are maintained and up to date
• Training and managing volunteers supporting the front office, Front Office Assistants, ensuring they are aware of their responsibilities and performing to a high standard
• Responsible to making sure members renew on time and membership renewal is up to date.
• Responsible for maintaining all notice boards in the Centre and keeping them up to date with correct posters and announcements.
• Receive and help with various deliveries ensuring everything is received properly and is kept in its correct place.
• Maintaining the activities list, class and clubs registers and the login/out ledger and visitors log for all members, visitors and volunteers.
• Making sure the relevant Health and Safety requirements and other obligations are being met and correctly observed
• Reporting any maintenance issues quickly and clearly to the Community Manager
• Overseeing and ensuring that all administrative processes are carried out in line with the Centre’s policy
• Opening the Centre in the mornings and possibly closing in the afternoon.
• Reconciling money received on a daily basis reporting this to the General Centre Manager
• You might be required to attend/support events out of working hours including weekends. You will receive time off in lieu for any hours you work over your contractual hours

About the Role

We are seeking an ambitious and experienced Individual Giving Manager to lead and grow our individual giving programme. This is a new and vital role in our fundraising team, focusing on creating and delivering strategies to increase unrestricted income from individual donors through appeals, regular giving, legacies, and digital campaigns.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a strategy to grow individual giving income, including appeals, regular giving, and legacy programmes.
• Plan and deliver engaging fundraising campaigns and communications to attract and retain supporters.
• Manage donor journeys and segmentation to ensure a personal and effective approach to supporter engagement.
• Work collaboratively with our marketing and membership teams to maximise fundraising opportunities across our existing supporter base.
• Analyse and report on performance, ensuring campaigns are data-driven and deliver measurable results.

About You

We are seeking a proactive and creative individual with proven experience in individual giving, legacy fundraising, or a related field, ideally within a charity setting. You will have a strong understanding of direct marketing techniques and donor journey development, excellent communication skills to craft compelling fundraising messages, and experience using CRM systems to manage and analyse donor data. With a results-driven mindset and strong analytical skills, you’ll share our passion for road safety and making a positive impact through fundraising.

From local and national support services to green spaces, sports clubs, museums and the arts, voluntary organisations and volunteers are a vital part of communities across the country. The Senior Practical Support Officer role is key to the delivery of NCVO’s support for small charities. You will be a key part of a small team, with a focus on managing and responding to enquiries that come in via phone and email to our Small Charity Helpdesk. We receive 400 – 500 enquiries a month about setting up and running a charity, with a particular focus on volunteering and governance.

Alongside the helpdesk you will also work with colleagues across NCVO on the production, and curation of content for our website and with internal and external stakeholders to produce sector leading practical webinars.

You will have a particular focus on volunteering, working with multiple stakeholders on a range of cross-organisational initiatives to ensure we develop and share best practice on involving volunteers.

Your good working knowledge of the voluntary sector, understanding of the specific needs of small charities and sharp focus on delivering excellent customer service will help us to effectively respond to the needs of the sector.

This is fast paced role and with good time management and attention to detail this role has a lasting/meaningful impact on the hundreds of charities we support.
