Prospectus is delighted to be supporting Hand in Hand International to recruit their new Programme Development Manager, as the organisation looks to increase their impact and support thousands of women on their way out of poverty. This is a permanent, full-time position based in London (Hybrid).

Reporting to the Head of Programmes, Gender and Humanitarian the post holder will identify, prospect and approach new institutional donors, converting them form prospects to secured funds. You will ensure the effective delivery of a portfolio of institutional and corporate grants, making sure projects are achieving key milestones and that day-to-day activities are on track. The Programme Development Manager will provide high quality project information to both internal and external stakeholders, extracting and quality assuring project data relevant for reporting, and making sure all projects are compliant with donor requirements. You will proactively manage relationships with existing donors, developing engagement strategies, sharing key information, and laying groundwork for follow-on funding. Finally, you will lead proposals for new and existing donors, coordinating inputs from Hand in Hand International and network colleagues, drafting technical inputs, and engaging with funders where required.
The ideal candidate will have an innovative approach and a strong track record in fundraising from large institutional donors; trusts and foundations, corporate foundations and governments. The main objective of the role is to identify, prospect and approach new institutional donors, converting them from prospects to secured funds. The role will be roughly 70% fundraising and 30% grant management.
As well as a demonstrable track-record securing large, multi-year grants from different types of funders, you will have experience with their thematic areas: women’s economic empowerment, value chains, livelihoods or enterprise acceleration. Experience working in development projects in Eastern Africa: Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Zimbabwe. Experience in Afghanistan would be a plus.

About the Role
As a Multiple Disadvantage Refuge Worker, you will work with women residing in refuges across 7 Pan London boroughs. Your responsibilities will include devising support plans that address their immediate practical and emotional needs and initiating the recovery process. You will connect women with more specialist support services as required. The role involves conducting risk assessments, creating safety plans, and identifying support needs such as accessing benefits, budgeting, and exploring resettlement pathways from the refuge. You will also promote social inclusion, encourage independence, and foster the development of personal resilience. Building a support network for women and promoting engagement with other services is a key aspect of this role.
About You
We are looking for someone with relevant experience in providing specialist support services to women and families with multiple needs. You should have casework experience in offering proactive and emotional support to women who have experienced domestic abuse, aiding them in their recovery and rebuilding their lives. Experience in multi-agency working and maintaining a professional manner is also essential.

You will be creating and managing a new business pipeline of prospects to approach for new funding. You will be working closely with the Head of Corporate Partnerships to diversity their new business portfolio with a specific focus on targeting corporates within the health sector, for five figure level plus partnerships. Working towards set targets, you will be responsible throughout the whole partnerships process from identifying prospects, cultivation, proposals, pitching and negotiation to secure new corporate support.
To be successful in this role, you will:
- Have demonstrable experience securing five + figure gifts from corporates and have consistently met and exceeded team and individual targets.
- Be confident in creating emotive, tailored and compelling proposals for prospects and delivering on successful pitches and presentations.

The Research Officer will join our Applied Research and Evaluation division to contribute to work and projects of the Child Outcomes Research Consortium (CORC). CORC brings together organisations and individuals committed to using and improving evidence to improve children and young people’s mental health and wellbeing. The post-holder will be skilled in the R programming language in order to validate, clean, analyse and visualise data for reports. They will be involved in interviewing research participants, so the ability to build and maintain relationships with project participants is key. Experience of research design, ethics approval and data collection is essential.
The successful candidate will join a friendly, cross-disciplinary team in which staff are continually developing their quantitative and qualitative research skills. They will liaise directly with practitioners and partner organisations to discuss data, analysis and findings. They will also have the opportunity to contribute to reports and academic publications.
