We seek a dynamic leader with excellent interpersonal skills to join our team as Head of Partnerships and Placements on a 12 month fixed-term contract basis. The ideal candidate must excel in building and sustaining partnerships, managing strategic projects, and leading a team to achieve significant results.
You will be allocating 500 placements for Approach Social Work participants and recruiting leaders for and sell other Frontline programmes or services. This is directly linked to achieving Frontline’s organisational objective of having 4,000 impactful Fellows by 2025, who will create social change for children without a safe or stable home.

A little bit about you
The ideal candidate will be an experienced account management and sales professional, skilled in setting and achieving demanding sales targets. We are looking for someone with a strong track record in managing complex projects, leveraging external stakeholder relationships, and and balancing different needs. With excellent people management skills, you will balance support and challenge, and be adept at using data and CRM systems to manage relationships and generate insights.
We have a fast-moving culture within the team and organisation, so we’re looking for someone who is who is well organised, details-focused and can use their initiative to do what works. You will have excellent communication skills, be able to build relationships with people and be willing to learn. This role will see you working to influence the policy landscape, and develop evidence-based policy positions, on issues concerning the Armed Forces community, with regards to family life and relationships; housing and homelessness; children & young people’s services and education, and communities with unique needs, including bereaved families and Non-UK serving personnel, veterans and families.

Reporting to the Policy Manager, key responsibilities will include:

- Use qualitative and quantitative research, policy analysis and lived experience to develop robust, evidence-based policy positions and proposals
- Identify, establish, and maintain an impactful network of key policy stakeholders across the charity sector and government
- Represent RBL publicly through securing opportunities to present policy issues and products, including at relevant events, workshops, external committees and working groups

akt is the UK’s national LGBTQ Youth Homelessness charity. We provide safe homes, mentoring, and support to ensure that no young person needs to choose between a safe home and being who they are. 24% of young people facing homelessness in the UK identify as LGBT (National Scoping of LGBT Youth Homelessness, akt, 2015) and 78% of LGBTQ+ young people cited an absence of family support (The LGBTQ+ Youth Homelessness Report, akt, 2021). The charity was founded in 1989 and operates service centres in London, Manchester, Newcastle, Bristol and works online through a Digital Service to offer support to young people outside of our four office regions. akt works with over 800 vulnerable young people a year providing both face to face and online assistance.
Job Summary
This is a 14-21 hours per week part time temporary 6 month contract. The pro rata salary for hours worked is between £12,658 - £18,987 per year (£31,645 full time equivalent).
There is one role that can be done from any of akt's offices in Manchester, London, Newcastle or Bristol.
This is an exciting opportunity for a well-organised and professional individual to join our team to support our work with young LGBTQ+ people facing homelessness. The role primarily involves quantitative data collection, analysis and reporting to inform akt’s strategic direction and demonstrate our impact externally.
You will need excellent analysis and communications skills, be highly organised and have the ability to present data in a format that is understandable, clear and can be utilised in a range of areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct quantitative analysis of Services data, generating key insights to inform strategic direction and demonstrate akt’s impact.
- Produce regular internal reports for Services management on progress towards key performance indicators.
- Lead on presenting data to various audiences, including Services staff, senior management, Trustees, and funders.
- Build reports and dashboards on our CRM, In-Form (SalesForce), to support with data analysis and monitoring, and help Services staff to manage their caseload and performance.
- Coordinate and take the lead on specific projects relating to data collection, reporting, and/or impact monitoring including some cross-departmental projects.
- Continue driving a culture of data-informed decision-making and learning at akt, helping all colleagues to value Services data and to collect reliable and useful data about the work we do.
- Proactively improve data collection and reporting methods, considering creative and alternative methods informed by the young people we work with.
- Provide Fundraising and Marketing/Communication teams with Services data for external use, such as funding returns and applications, and fundraising appeals.
- Work autonomously and manage own workload, particularly around key reporting milestones: each financial quarter, and at the beginning of each financial year.

This newly created position will become part of the Public Fundraising team and will develop and implement a legacy fundraising programme that will allow the charity to realise the great untapped potential of gifts in wills for the Charity. The Legacy Fundraising Manager will be tasked with increasing the number of legacy enquirers and pledgers from existing and new supporters and contribute to the charity’s sustainable long-term income growth
Gifts in wills are an important income stream for the charity, last year raising over £2M towards our fundraised income, despite limited promotion in this area. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced legacy fundraiser to really make their mark and develop a programme of activity that will feed our future legacy pipeline.
Your key responsibilities will include;
- Developing and driving forward an engaging and inspiring programme of activity that will increase numbers of legacy enquirers and pledgers from existing and new supporters.
- Project managing legacy fundraising activities, including creative development, briefing and managing external suppliers, briefing data selections and assessing results.
- Managing a legacy pipeline - engaging prospects, generating enquiries, moving supporters from enquirers to pledgers, stewarding pledgers and legator family members.
- Applying a strategic approach to legacy fundraising, producing annual fundraising plans, and contributing to longer term strategic growth of legacy income for the charity.
- As the programme grows there will likely be opportunities to develop and deliver legacy cultivation and stewardship events, alongside a digital and offline communication plan - making the most of existing events in the calendar as well as working with colleagues in the major giving team to explore other opportunities to engage those on the legacy pipeline in person.
This position would ideally suit a candidate with;
- A strong track record of legacy fundraising, with a broad knowledge of the gifts in wills marketplace and an ability to champion legacies
- Excellent experience and knowledge of relationship fundraising, marketing, cultivation and stewardship techniques needed for legacy fundraising
- Strong analytical and strategic planning skills, and competent using data and insight to plan supporter focused activity
- Passion for improving healthcare and patient experience for the people of East London, and in supporting the amazing NHS staff who work for this Health Trust
- Willing to contribute to the wider fundraising strategy and to represent fundraising both internally and externally with passion and professionalism

The Head of Communications and Brand will oversee the planning, execution, and evaluation of WaterAid's communications and brand portfolio, including external communications, media relations, editorial and brand management, digital content development, and public engagement.

About you:
- Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications or another related field.
- Minimum of 7 years' experience in marketing, media relations, and corporate/ nonprofit communications.
- Exceptional communication skills in English, with bilingualism in English and
- French being a strong asset.
- An entrepreneurial and collaborative work ethic. Diplomatic and able to work with teams from around the globe and different time zones.
- Experience of managing external public relations, web development, and other communications vendors.
- An understanding of international development issues.
- Experience working on advocacy plans and execution within the international development/NGO sectors would be a strong asset.
- A strong commitment to WaterAid's mission, vision, and values with the ability to effectively communicate this mandate in a manner that compels prospective supporters to join the cause.

Job description
Re-engage has just launched a new five-year strategy which has growth at its heart. We’re looking for an exceptional person to join our team, for maternity cover, as a support and development officer (SDO) and to be a vital part of this exciting phase of our development.
Reporting to the support team manager and sitting within the service delivery team you will be working closely with other SDOs and engagement officers (EOs) with a focus on matching older people and volunteers in to Re-engage services and providing ongoing support.
Joining our team will give you a role where you’ll have a real sense of purpose and we'll give you the time, space, and support to develop in the role. We’re looking for some who is:
- Committed to engaging and empowering volunteers and older people.
- Experienced in using a CRM system to capture, store, and retrieve information on all stakeholders.
- Work with our CRM system and dashboard to identify tasks and manage workload, ensuring records of older people and volunteers are kept up to date
- Solution focused and committed to using technology to find solutions and to improve performance.
- Comfortable with communicating on the phone with people of all ages.
- A skilled and confident communicator.
- Familiar with working in a fast-paced environment with experience of working to deadlines and at meeting performance related targets.
Key responsibilities:
- Matching older people and volunteers into Re-engage services.
- Supporting volunteer and older people once they are matched into Re-engage services, including dealing with any complaints that may arise.
- Collaborating with colleagues to identify applicants for volunteer roles or older people referrals.
- Making calls to older people and volunteers on a regular basis
- Responding to phone and email enquiries from our shared mailbox and phoneline that provides high quality support to older people and volunteers.
- Attending face to face meetings with colleagues occasionally
- You may be required to undertake other duties that fall within the nature of the role and responsibilities of the post.
This role will require an enhanced criminal record check.

I am excited to be working with an amazing sustainability charity in search of 4 x Grants Programme Officers. This is an immediate start fully remote, full-time (will consider part-time) temp role until the end of September, with possible extension until March 2025! As Grants Programmes Officer you will play a key role in the management of grant and delivery programmes managed by the organisation. The post holder will lead on the Foundation’s research communications activities, working closely with the Comms and Digital Lead to execute a research communications strategy. This will ensure that our supporters are kept informed on the latest research developments and enable us to demonstrate the impact of our research.
The post-holder will also support the delivery of our annual grant schemes, as well as helping to manage our portfolio of funded projects. This will involve close working with our Research Programme Managers and include administering, monitoring, evaluating and reporting on the performance of awards, ensuring the outputs are of the highest quality and supporting the charities activities.
The post-holder will have an important role to play in our busy and small-knit research team. They will be exposed to all aspects of grant management and use their communication skills to effectively share more information about the research we fund with our key stakeholders.
Key responsibilities:
Research Communications

Work closely with the Communications and Digital Manager to oversee our research communications strategy and programme of activity;

Lead on the development of all external research communications activities to communicate the impact of our research and ensure our supporters are kept up to date with the latest developments. This includes developing news stories, blogs, newsletter content, infographics, research webinar series and our annual research impact report;

Liaise with our funded researchers to secure pictures and other content (e.g. video) for use on socials including making site visits to labs across the UK;
